The 55-year-old Kenneth Okonkwo was born to Mr. Ozioko Francis Okonkwo and Mrs. Beatrice Okonkwo on the 6th of November 1968. Kenneth did not enjoy the warmth of a hospital bed at birth, as he was born in a refugee camp where most of the Igbos stayed during the Nigeria/Biafra war . He lived a greater part of his life in Nsukka, where he comes from.

He started his academic pursuit at Union Primary School, Nsukka, from where he moved on to St. Theresa College, also in Nsukka. For his first degree, he studied Business Management at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. After which, he moved over to Lagos to obtain his LLB. To add to his portfolio, he obtained a Master’s degree in International and Law Diplomacy at the University of Lagos and a doctorate from the Chartered Institute of Economics. He equally has an educational background in Theology.

Although there is no detailed information about his parents and siblings online, the actor once revealed that he comes from a family of lawyers. He shared a photo of himself and two of his sisters, who are also lawyers as well. In the caption he made for the picture, he mentioned that three of them, he and his two sisters, were handling the same case, and they were on the same side of the case. He also once described his mother as a fashionable and beautiful woman.

His Journey Through His Acting Career

Kenneth Okonkwo has been in the entertainment industry for about thirty years now. He started acting immediately after obtaining a degree in Law from the University of Lagos . Although he had no prior acting experience or training, the then 23-year-old graduate had talent that was apparently good enough to pull him up the ladder of the industry. In 1991, he made his debut with the soap opera “Ripples” in which he played Captain John Mark.

However, he was not noticed until he was featured in the blockbuster movie “Living in Bondage: Breaking Free” in 1992. He played the role of Andy Okeke, a young man who joined a secret cult and sacrificed his wife for riches but eventually paid the price. This character almost swallowed up his real name as he became known by it in most Nigerian homes as Andy Okeke.

Over the years, the talented actor has featured in several movies, including:

  • The Mad Prince
  • The Crime in Our Hearts
  • Deep into Poverty
  • Best Husband Ever
  • The Royal Dragon
  • My Decision
  • Rich Families
  • Dumebi the Dirty Girl
  • Another World
  • Wives on Strike: The Revolution , etc.

The versatile actor also has a political career, which he takes seriously. He has contested for two positions since he indicated an interest in politics. He contested for the seat of Enugu State governor, his state of origin, in 2018. Kenneth has also contested for the House of Representatives. Unfortunately, he lost both seats. Regardless of all of these, he still sees himself as a politician and is not discouraged in any way.

Kenneth Okonkwo Has Been Married Twice

Kenneth also has quite an interesting life outside the screen. He has been married twice. Asides from his professional achievements and accomplishments in the entertainment industry, the actor is also a proud father and husband. His love for his family is evident in the way he flaunts them on social media.

His First Marriage was with Ogechi Ezekiel

Kenneth Okonkwo

Kenneth and his first wife, Ogechi Ezekiel, got married in 2000, but the marriage did not last long as they divorced in 2002. Ogechi is the daughter of Pastor Ezekiel, then General Overseer of Christian Pentecostal Mission International. Their short-lived union was blessed with a son whose name was given as Ifeanyi.

Neither Kenneth nor Ogechi has revealed what truly transpired between them and why their marriage failed. But in an interview captured by Nigeriafilms , the actor stated that he doesn’t support divorce, and the rumor that he married Ogechi because of her wealth and that of her parents was totally false. Also, when asked about a story on the internet that said his hot temper crashed his first marriage, Kenneth didn’t give a direct answer. Instead, he inferred that if he was attacked violently by a woman, he would defend himself.

On the other hand, his son with Ogechi, Ifeanyi, has grown into a man, but details about him and what he is up to are hard to come by. On the other hand, his mother remained single and now serves as the lead pastor of Christian Pentecostal Mission International in South Africa. Beyond this, nothing else is known about her, her son, and if Kenneth still interacts with them.

Ifeoma Okonkwo is Kenneth Okonkwo’s Second Wife

After his failed marriage with Ogechi Ezekiel, his mother decided to help him find love again. Since 2007, the entertainer has been married to Mrs. Ifeoma Okonkwo. It happened that about five years after his divorce, Kenneth’s mother, who thought that he did not deserve to suffer in marriage because of his Christian virtues, took it upon herself to help him find a good girl for him to marry.

She spoke to him about Ifeoma , who was a homely girl from his place. She equally had a good reputation among other town people. After his mother’s description of what sounded like his ‘spec,’ he decided to meet the girl in person. He arranged for them to meet, and after speaking with her, the rest became history. Their relationship continued to grow into what it is today. He made all of this revelation in an interview with Mercy Michael.

He Had His First Child with Ifeoma Okonkwo After 9 Years of Marriage

Kenneth Okonkwo has only one son with his current wife. After patiently waiting for nine years, the couple was eventually blessed with a son in 2016. Their child Kenechukwu Okonkwo was born on Saturday, the 6th of May, 2016, at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center, USA. Like his name says, Kenechukwu, which means Praise God, the child was a big reason for the couple to sing praises to God.

In a chat he had with Diamond Celebrities , the actor expressed his gratitude to God and thanked Him for fulfilling his promises. He equally extended his appreciation to all who stood by them and offered prayers on their behalf. The boy has continued to grow stronger, and he is currently 8 years old.

“I believed I was going to be a great man because the obstacles I faced made me better. As they say, the heaviest of the fire made the finest of steel,” he told Business Elites Africa .

Okonkwo still managed to finance his education to the university, where he graduated from the University of Ibadan. He first worked as a marketer for a telecoms firm while working as a real estate consultant as a side gig.

After breaking multiple deals in real estate, he found the sector lucrative, and it coincidently happened during the massive property boom in Oniru in Lagos. He built four units of room and parlor self-contain apartments as a start to his entry into the real estate business.

The successful nature of his first real estate project boosted his confidence to venture into other real estate ventures. He subsequently founded Nedcomoaks Property and acquired several chains of properties across Lagos.

The company now specializes in providing luxury housing schemes for the working middle class in Lagos. Okonkwo is credited with the completion of Victoria Bay 3, a real estate project comprising 587 units of houses.

His company had annual revenue of over $35 million as of 2018. It now has over a thousand employees on its payroll. Besides Nedcomoaks Property, the real estate mogul also founded Victoria Crest Homes which he has since passed over to his wife after stepping down as CEO.

His success in real estate has won him many laurels. He was named African Business Personality of the Year in 2017 and he was also featured on Forbes Africa. He told Forbes Africa that public-private partnerships can alleviate Nigeria’s housing crisis.

“Financing infrastructure deficit across Africa will involve collective innovation both across the public and the private sectors,” said the innovative real estate entrepreneur.

My financial breakthrough came when I met my wife —Okonkwo

financial breakthrough

43-year-old businessman and real estate developer, Dr Kennedy Okonkwo, is the Chief Executive Officer, Nedcomoaks Limited. He shares his experience growing up and the challenges of building a business empire, among other issues, with SEGUN KASALI.

Losing your father at the age of 16 must have been shocking ?

Yes, it was. A young 16-year-old boy whose father meant everything to him and that was the moment I felt I could no longer live and death could have taken me instead of taking my dad because dad was someone who believed so much in me to the extent that every education investment in me was never going to be a waste. Having to lose him at that particular point in time was devastating. He saw me as his retirement savings.

Retirement savings?

Well! I do not know what he saw. But, he gave everyone education for as long as his money could carry. But, one thing that was certain was that my dad always believed in my abilities. He saw me as a young guy who would devour every newspapers before doing any other thing. He  would always tell us that he did not have a huge sum of money in the bank or somewhere. So, amongst my siblings, my dad felt I was the one who was more focused on education. And for me, education was paramount even if I was going to play.

Your background must have inspired intense focus on education?

You are correct. It was as a result of the kind of upbringing I had with my father, looking at him as someone who did not have much and he was struggling to pay school fees. At a particular point in time, he had to meet my uncle to tell him his son needed education. And my uncle told him to go and calculate what it would cost to train me from now till university. And my dad went to do that costing. When he got back to my uncle, my uncle threw the paper at him because he felt the bill was very heavy (laughs). But, dad felt even if nobody was going to support him to educate this his young brilliant son, he was going to go the extra mile to do all that was needed to get me educated. And so for me, what I kept reminding myself was that my dad was going through so much stress to get me educated. So, I was determined never to let him down. And so, for every exams, it was like I needed to make him proud.

How did the family pull through after your dad’s demise?

Yeah. when he died, what we could only do was to reach out to uncles, and cousins to see who would cater for my education. But, my elder sister and husband took care of my secondary education till the time I had my JAMB and WAEC. Thereafter, I relocated to my cousin’s place and he eventually took up the responsibility of sending me to the university.

Yes. I went to the University of Ibadan to study Psychology and after that, I went to Lagos State University for an MBA in Marketing. And I remember that graduating from Psychology was a shocker because while I was waiting for my results to come out in my final year, they were not certain if I would come out with 2:1 or 2:2 and this was because I had a very high 2:2. So, they were thinking whether they could approximate. Unfortunately, my result had been sent to Senate and it was not accepted as a 2:1. So, I eventually graduated with a 2:2. But, my name did not come out on the University Graduation List for that year. But, exams and records sent my name for Youth Service. So, technically I graduated, but my name was not just on the graduation list. So, my name appeared in the next, but I had already finished my Youth Service. So, why was I going back to do my convocation?

Rosy life after graduation?

After graduation, I started my first job doing marketing in a telecoms company, which was owned by my cousin. That was my cousin who sponsored me to school. So, I realised it was not about what I studied but what I wanted to be. And so, I chose to follow that path.

Real estate. So, in my first year after graduation from school, I was involved in a real estate transaction that I got about N280,000 commission. It was a lot of money for me being a corper earning N6,000 in 2001. So, in few months, it will be exactly 20 years I struck the first deal. So, this deal presented me money and gave me opportunity which I never understood

You never understood?

Yes. I was too young to manage the kind of money I had then. My salary where I was working at my cousin’s place was ridiculously low. And here was I having that kind of money. It was too much. So, I felt a car was priority and was the money finished thereafter. So, I never reinvested that money. And this was the period a plot of land at Sangotedo was less than N100,000. So, it was all gone.

How did you stage a comeback?

Afterwards, I went to work. So, in a particular year, I met my wife. I left paid employment to focus on my real estate business. After I had grown the real estate business to a certain level, I went back to work in a company for about four months and I left to focus on real estate business. If you do not have the financial intelligence to manage money, money would still never be enough if I give you all the money in this world. So, by the time I bought that car and everything, I began to work in a place called Excel Human Resource Outsourcing. So, I began to understand personal financial management- what I need and what I do not need. But, because I read a lot of leadership books, management books and entrepreneurial books, I began to understand the value of reinvesting more of what you make than squandering it. And with that knowledge, I was about to set up a traveling company, laun dry outfit (LaundryKing) which is still in existence till today, Car hire service, an IT Company called IPMax Telecoms. So, I built businesses while I was still going to attend my 9-5 job. For me, I didn’t see the car I was driving then as my personal car. There are days whereby I would have a client that would say they need a car and the Nissan Xterra is gone and others. So, I would say take this one I am driving. And I would hop on a bus. All I know is that I would have additional money by the time I get home. So, I was living my life on a N68,000-N70,000 salary a month. But then, my revenue was running into millions on a monthly basis because I was doing other businesses. But, I saw an opportunity to work there as an opportunity to learn and understand how businesses are run. To understand that business is not a one-man show

So, maybe my wife was my good luck charm. The truth of the matter was I had someone who I could share my dreams and aspirations with. I had someone who could tell me I had fantastic idea and could pat me on the back and say don’t worry you would never make a mistake and if you do don’t worry I would be here for you.

And the turning point was?

I think the turnaround started when I met my wife because it was that time I started doing some building at Oniru on build and transfer basis while working. So, when I did some of those development, I built bungalows at Oniru and started getting rents from there. So, it was about the same time I met my wife. And for about a year, I did not have a job because I decided not to work anymore so I could focus on my real estate business. So, I give kudos to her for being there for me anytime I need her.

What were the circumstances when you met your wife?

She was my tenant. She was squatting with my tenant as a youth corps member then. So, we became friends. We could go out and party together. Gradually, we became intimate friends.

What attracted you to her?

For me, friendship is everything. I met a woman who, no matter what, I would always want to be with. So, that for me was everything. I needed someone who was like the air that I breathe. I wanted to talk to her. I wanted to see her. I wanted to tell her everything that I had done and hear her say it is okay that you are on the right path. And that was what I was looking for. For me, it was not about the comfort I would get from her. I was quite an ambitious young man. And for me, my ambition was everything. I had this big dream that I would build a massive estate and change the industry where I operate. I was poised to be a different developer. For me, I wanted to have a woman I can comfortably leave the homefront for and come back seeing that the home is still intact. And so, that was important for me. So, I found all of those qualities in her that needed to shape my life. I have grown to teach my kids that if you do well, one day, one of you would take over part of this business. And what I keep telling them is that you need to work hard enough because soon you would start taking care of me.

You would have done that to your dad if he was alive?

Yeah. But, one thing I have tried to do is to immortalise him by, naming some kilometers of road after him in Anambra. I also wanted to do his 25 years remembrance at a time but we lost his brother at that time. So, I had to shelve it. But, one of the things I have also tried to do is to invest in education of youths. In my village and Lagos where I operate, I do a lot for the educational sector because I understand the value of education. When someone becomes educated, you have given the person the opportunity to read and that even becomes a major plus. Without education, you can’t have a meaningful conversation with someone who is not educated because their thinking is on a different level compared to yours. They always become highly defensive because they think you are about to intimidate them.

The movie produced by Okechukwu Ogunijiofor won him the award for best actor in Nigeria.

He played the role of Andy Okeke, a Lagos businessman that sees his friends getting rich and got upset with the fact that he has no success attached to his name. He resulted to join a secret cult and sacrificing his wife to acquire wealth, a move that made him suffer the consequences as he was constantly haunted by his wife’s spirit. According to reports, Kenneth Okonkwo met his wife through his mother shortly after his first marriage crashed. He got married to Ifeoma Okonkwo sometime in 2007 and the marriage has survived over a decade.

Before his marriage to Ifeoma, the renowned actor was married to Ogechi Ezekiel who is the daughter of Pastor Ezekiel, the General Overseer of Christian Pentecostal Mission International. The union produced a child but things turned sour two years into it. To the surprise of many, Kenneth Okonkwo and Ogechi announced their separation.

Much is yet to be learned about the reason for their separation but in an interview , the actor stated that he does not support divorce. He also dismissed claims that he was abusive to Ogechi, stating that he was attacked and had to defend himself. Moreso, he refuted the speculations that he only married the woman because she was from a wealthy family.

The actor lives happily with his current wife and often takes to social media platforms to celebrate her.

He Has Two Sons Named Ifeanyi and Kenechukwu Okonkwo

As hinted earlier, the actor had a child with his first wife, Ogechi Ezekiel: a son named Ifeanyi Okonkwo. From what we gathered, Ifeanyi is now an adult but much is yet to be learned about him. He lives his life away from the spotlight on his father.

As it is with his first marriage, Kenneth Okonkwo’s second has also produced a child, a son named Kenechukwu Okonkwo. For almost a decade, the actor and his second wife lived together without a child. Nine years into the marriage, on the 7th of May 2016, they welcomed a baby boy into the family. From the pictures the actor shares online, it is clear he is very fond of the child.

Turning Points

The turning points in Kennedy Okonkwo’s life began when he lost his father when he was barely 16 years old. He was still in secondary school then, and the tragedy impacted his life as he knew what loss meant. Kennedy Okonkwo’s dad greatly influenced his education as his father believed that the greatest gift he could give his children was education. His father believed that being educated will bring an end to poverty and a critical tool for survival. When he lost his father, his mother, who was a caterer, couldn’t meet up with their living expenses, hence they were soon evicted from their apartment. Soon after, they were thrown out of his mother’s shop, where they took lodging. It was a very sad thing for Kennedy when returning ‘home’ from school, he was going to meet his family under Ikeja Bridge where they abode.

However, goodwill soon smiled on them, as a pastor, David, soon came to their rescue. He gave them the Boy’s quarters at Obafemi Awolowo guest house. These experiences shaped Kennedy’s perspective to living, he made a resolve to impact the situation of his family positively. Thanks to Chief Sylvester Okonkwo, who sponsored his schooling.

Another major turning point in his life was when he left his paid job as the Strategy Advisor to the MD of his former company to build his own business.

That bold decision has paid off now, as Kennedy Okonkwo is now the MD/CEO of Nedcomoaks Limited. This property development company fully specializes in real estate development, provision of architectural and civil designs, project consultancy and management, and a significant proficiency in construction with modern technology. He is the chairman of Victoria Crest Homes, a housing property that provides affordable housing options to the middle class. But Kennedy Okonkwo indeed became very successful. He passed his SSCE, WAEC, and other exams with flying colours in one sitting. However, he had his fair share of challenges in life on his journey to being a successful businessman. Rather than being discouraged by the challenges that he faced, he saw the challenges as developmental phases, using every single one to become a better person and strengthen his resilience to truly succeed.

One of the notable failures Kennedy Okonkwo experienced on his journey to successful entrepreneurship was when he lost an N18 million deal.

Societal Impact

Kennedy Okonkwo is a lover of humanity, and he is not ashamed to be called a Nigerian. He is one of those who believe that Nigeria will be great again. He actively represents this belief through the numerous projects and humanitarian activities he is involved in.

Kennedy okonkwo: providing shelter for nigerians.

Recently, Forbes Africa featured one of the leading property entrepreneurs in Nigeria, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Nedcomoaks, Mr. Kennedy Okonkwo. Anayo Okolie who was among the journalists that visited most of the massive projects executed by the developer, reports

Though, this is not the first time the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Nedcomoaks, Mr. Kennedy Okonkwo, is dominating the pages of newspapers. Apart from Forbes Africa, he has appeared in several newspapers following his contribution to the development of the economy by providing employment and shelter to Nigerians.

His company, Nedcomoaks, today is one of the leading real estate companies engaged in the acquisition, development and management of properties across Nigeria with its properties highly diversified with respect to design and styles. From inception, Nedcomoaks made it a policy and priority to build the best properties at affordable prices. This strategy elevated his company to be one of the best property developing companies in Nigeria.

But despite his achievements, his wealth does not get to his head. He is humble, intelligent and smart young man. He is one successful man whom many would want to work and identify with, not particularly because of what he has accomplished because you must learn something once you meet with him. Some of his close associates even thought he would become a lecturer after school but little did they know God had another plans for him.

Okonkwo is a devote Christian and a great philanthropist who is presently developing a community hall and an ultramodern sports complex in his home town in Ojoto Anambra State.

Okonkwo just like Conor Mc Gregor, who believes in taking inspiration from everyone and everything, gets inspired by current champions, former champions, true competitors, people dedicated to their dream, hard workers, dreamers, believers, achievers and that has helped in elevating him today.

Listening, he believes gives one the opportunity to learn more because of course, “nobody has monopoly of knowledge.” You cannot pretend to have all the knowledge in the world because nobody knows everything, and nobody knows anything.

He is a highly motivated and innovative entrepreneur who has attended diverse management courses in Mauritius, USA and the United Kingdom in order to improve himself. His experience spans information technology, human resource management, manufacturing and most importantly process and systems driven construction management.

Okonkwo is a customer centric entrepreneur because he consistently talks about how client must have value for money anytime they key into any of his projects and he believes so much in his human resource as he claims that only a motivated work force can propel any organisation to greatness.

Okonkwo, however, started like many other Nigerian businessmen. At first, it was as if the business won’t succeed but with hard work, determination and commitment, Okonkwo was able to conquer that stage.

He was working as a strategic adviser for a company and his part time job in real estate had a deal that was worth N18 million ($90,000). He was going to provide accommodation for expatriates and the company issuing the contract was waiting for him to come and see them but he was busy doing a strategy session and he lost the deal to a competitor and that when he said to himself “it’s time to focus on the property business,” and he resigned his white-collar job.

Since he ventured into the property business, Okonkwo has been able to successfully put up several massive projects such as Kiryan Court, Dream Court IV, Crystal Dreams Apartment, Crystal Court, Sandton Court and most recently he just delivered Victoria Crest I, while work has fully commenced on the Victoria Crest II which is presently on sale.

Victoria Crest II, he said, is an estate of 76 units of 3 and 4 bedroom homes and it’s located by the secondd Lekki toll gate on Buena Vista Road and situated adjacent to the Buena Vista Estate and estates. In its proximity includes, Lake View II, Essential Homes, Ocean Bay Estate, Bricks and Brains Estate, Golden Leaf Estate, and the Shell Cooplag Estate.

However, Victoria Crest I, is a collection of 92 units of 3 and 4 bedroom terrace duplexes, all rooms ensuite built for first time home owners or smart investors. It is fully serviced residential community. Victoria Crest offers a unique opportunity to acquire and invest in a property within a private gated community which is located in the reserved and much sought after area of Lekki, Lafiaji. Victoria Crest, according to Okonkwo is now selling at rate N30m for 3bedroom terrace homes and 34.7m for the 4bedrooms with flexible payment plan.

The project features, according Mr. Vincent David, who is one of the residents include fitted wardrobe and cabinets, stainless steel staircases and balconies, Turkish security doors, quality tile finishing, generous living areas, spacious main plus family lounge, gate house, fitted kitchen with cabinets, kitchen sink and tap, beautiful ambience and great neighbourhood, street lights, excellent drainage infrastructure, central water treatment plant, ample parking space and many more.

Dream Court IV located near the Pinnock beach estate developed by UPDC is another gigantic project being developed by the company. The project which comprises 30 luxury flats with an attached Boys quarter, according to the company will be a contemporary luxurious design hoping to surpass the expectations of subscribers who have commenced buying into the project on an offplan basis stemming from the huge return on investment of its previous project and the company’s remarkable project delivery track record riding on the success of Kiryan Court, Dream Court I-III, Crystal Dreams apartment and the Victoria Crest apartments.

The project features, Okonkwo said include large en-suite bedrooms with wardrobes fully fitted kitchen, independent alternative power supply provided via power generating sets guaranteeing uninterrupted power supply, elevator, fitted air-conditioning system, electronic controlled vehicle entry system, electronic, perimeter fence, contemporary bathroom fittings, fibre to home system provided by a telecom partner, integrated home PABX system, state-of-the-art fully integrated home audio system contemporary light fittings, fire hose reel and water hydrant system.

It is luxuriously finished with guaranteed annual rental returns estimated to be about at N3million makes this property a must have for the smartest of investors and for those looking for a great environment to reside. In the serenity of this estate is second to none as this estate has a children’s playground, swimming pool, gymn and lounge and parking spaces have been carefully laid out to ensure that you have an minimum of two car park slots per apartment. Investing in Dream Court II is currently rated by pundits as one of the premium developments around Lekki. Some of the prestigious neighbourhoods around the development includes: Northern Foreshore Estate, Friends Colony, and the new Lekki Circle Mall.

Facilities provided also include all rooms en-suite, fitted kitchen with oven, cooker and heat extractors, central PABX system, balcony, Turkish security doors, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, 3D walls in main lounge, excellent drainage facility, Italian tiles, beautiful road networks constructed by HFP, interlocking paving stones, electric fence, adequate parking space, gate house and central water treatment plant.

The industry despite all Okonkwo’s achievement still has a long way to go to satisfy the growing demand of Lagos residents in providing sufficient housing for them. According to him, the country is lacking about 17 million houses with about 60-70 per cent living in slums and informal settlements. The Centre for Affordable Housing and Finance in Africa, estimates that 700,000 more homes are needed each year to keep pace with the population explosion.

“I went into the property business because I felt there is a real need for it. For everybody, when you look at your needs, it’s probably food first and then you think of shelter. So there is no way anybody that is providing shelter will get it wrong. I think there are enormous opportunities to tap into in the Nigerian property market today and the reputation of the developer matters a whole lot.

“In the operational aspect of construction, it has a tendency to drive up the cost of the construction because most of the finishing materials are imported and so the restrictions of FX make it difficult to import these goods which drive up the price. On the other hand, a property that was selling at $150,000 can now go for $100,000 if the person has FX, so for these people, there is a higher advantage,” Okonkwo said.

The vision Nedcomoaks is to become a leading real estate management and development company in West Africa and with the success recorded by the company in a decade, it’s indeed edging close to its dream.

Nedcomoaks today without any iota of doubt emerged one of the most highly rated and respected building construction companies in the property development business. The company and its workers are dedicated to providing custom-tailored solutions and high standards of advice.

Okonkwo, who is a Psychology graduate from the University of Ibadan (UI), also holds an MBA in Marketing from the Lagos State University. He confessed that it was juicy when he first ventured in the property business.

Every business, he said comes with challenges but with determination and commitment, he was able to progress. “Initially, we would look for money to develop one property and once we sold that, we would build three more properties because we would market and get other people to buy more.”
