No arms, no legs, no worries (video).

Australian Nick Vujicic was born without arms and legs, but today he is a motivational speaker traveling the world bringing hope to millions.

In this inspiring excerpt he speaks about the importance of Perspective, Vision and Choices –  three factors that helped him go “from a life without limbs to a life without limits”. (He is also an evangelist preacher, but doesn’t imply that here.)

Nick introduces himself by joking with the audience — even showing how he answers a telephone — showing how charming and funny he is.

I really like what he said about appreciating his eyes. If we all focus on the things in life that we appreciate we will have more things to appreciate. Right on, Nick!

Nick Vujicic Quotes

Nick Vujicic Quotes & Life Changing Inspirational Speeches!

Nick vujicic quotes & life changing inspirational speeches.

Born in Brisbane, Australia to Christian parents, during his initial years, Nick struggled to understand why he had been denied something that everyone else seems to enjoy and even take for granted. His life was so hard that at age 10 he decided to end his life by trying to drown himself in his home bathtub. However, the love, acceptance and appreciation of his parents sustained him through the hardest times of his life. Nick still struggled to understand exactly why he had been denied something so basic.

The answer came to him at age 15 when he understood the relevance of a passage from New Testament: “As he (Jesus) went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, ‘Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?’ ‘Neither this man nor his parents sinned,’ said Jesus, ‘but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.'”

Nick finally understood that the universe has a plan for him much greater than what he can comprehend . Henceforth, began his journey of spreading the Gospel through the magical touch of his own personal testimony. Despite the limitations of his physical body, Nick refuses to live and dream with any limits. His speeches and books have transformed millions of lives across the world. His presence has given hope to the hopeless, his preachings and prayers have helped millions experience the miracles of God.

Nick often talks about how he feared a life of loneliness as he wondered who would love a prince charming “with a couple of bits and pieces missing.” However, his dream of creating a family finally turned into reality when he met the love of his life, Kanae Miyahara.

Nick is a living example of the fact that everything is possible for those who believe and for those who refuse to be bogged down by circumstances.

I want to be someone’s reason to seek something more in their life.” – Nick Vujicic Quotes 4. “Money can’t heal your heart. Money can’t give you purpose. I don’t want arms and legs, I want purpose. 12 inspiring life lessons from nick vujicic.

What would you do if you knew for a fact that in life, you can do whatever you want and that there are no limits? You would probably do anything and everything, right? If you feel crippled and unable to do what you want, you should get to know Nick Vujicic.

Nick Vujicic is an Australian-born international speaker and evangelist whose mission, together with his team at Life Without Limbs , is to cross boundaries and break down barriers, to build bridges that bring people to the love and hope found in Jesus Christ. He was born with a case of Phocomelia , which is a state of having no arms and legs.

Despite being born without limbs, Nick has become an international inspiration to millions of people he has touched. While he is very vocal about his faith, both Christians and non-Christians could actually get many takeaways by knowing about his life. Not only just a speaker and an evangelist, Nick is also a great role model to almost anyone who has been through life’s most difficult challenges and yet wants to achieve their biggest dreams.

Is there a way to really achieve what you want in life despite the most challenging circumstances? Can one be really happy in life? What can we do to achieve what we want and be happy achieving them?

Let us learn from Nick’s life through these inspiring life lessons. There are so much more we can take away from his life and his speeches, and here are 12 Inspiring Life Lessons from Nick Vujicic:

1. Understand and Accept that Life Has Challenges

Nick admits it wasn’t easy being born with his medical condition. He was not always happy and even contemplated ending his own life when he was younger. Just like many people, he was also once angry about his helpless condition and it was only when he learned to understand and accept his situation that he was able to turn around his attitude and be the positive person he is now. What is your life’s greatest challenge? Understand and learn to accept it because some situations we just need to live by. If the situation cannot be changed, it doesn’t mean it should cripple you. It just means you should accept it and take it with you through your journey.

2. You Define Your Ability

While Nick technically has been born without arms and legs, he did not let this “lack” define what he can or cannot do. Despite it, Nick is able to do what common people can. He swims, he drives, he surfs, and he has done almost anything and everything any person would just dream of. He knows and has done what he can do and not what he can’t. It is your choice to define your ability, and that’s what Nick believes in.

3. Dream Big Dreams

“If a man without arms and legs is dreaming big why can’t we, why can’t we all?”

Dreams keep us human. Dreams keep us hopeful. Dreams keep us going.

While there are so many reasons why we should dream on, many people quit on their dreams even before they create the dream. Nick isn’t one of them. He started his dream of having his own ministry and become a speaker when he delivered a talk at the age of 19 to 300 sophomore students. True to his dream, he has founded “Life Without Limbs” and traveling the world to deliver his message. It may seem like an easy dream as Nick has already achieved it but it wasn’t always that easy. He didn’t have any idea how, or why at that time, but he just knew in his heart that it is what he wants to do for the rest of his life. And so he did.

4. You Always Have A Choice

In life, we have so many choices. Every day we make choices, and with every choice we make there can be things or circumstances that can hold us back if we let them. Nick always says that he does have the choice to be angry at God for being in his situation, but he chooses to be grateful and happy despite it.

You always, always have a choice.

5. Take Action!

Nick is a man who advocates dreaming big, but he doesn’t stop at that. He encourages everyone to take action. We may be in circumstances that dictate us to just become victims and let life take hold of us, but we will never know what we can unless we act. We want change and wish for change but unless we act, there will never be any change. Take action today.

To wish for change will change nothing. To make the decision to take action right now will change everything!

6. Don’t Feel Too Comfortable

When we finally achieve some of what we want and are able to change our lives, we can easily succumb to comfort, and that shouldn’t be. There is always much more to do, and much more to achieve. Nick, being a Christian evangelist, always reminds in his speeches as well that there is more to this life and that we shouldn’t feel that we have overcome that in this life. There is more to life on this Earth and we all have a mission, and that we should never stop. Are you too comfortable? Don’t be satisfied. There is still much more work to do.

The biggest temptation I believe is to feel comfortable, to feel like you’ve worked through all of that here on Earth, and are satisfied with this life.

7. Overcome Hopelessness

We are all born with pain and difficulty in our life, and Nick admits that this is a fact of life. We are not born with hope in our hearts, and when we do have hope, people (and even our own selves) could take that away. Nick, being an inspirational speaker that he is, even says that there were many years that he didn’t have any hope. But all that is only a lie. We can let others kill the hope that we have. We can let our situation make us lose hope. We will never be satisfied with anything in life and we sometimes allow other people take away all the hope we have left. However, we can just take it one day at a time, and don’t let others (or yourself) dictate you of what you can’t do or what you don’t have. We don’t need to have it all figured out, but we can take each day as it is, and that’s how we can overcome hopelessness.

8. Be Healthy and Stay Healthy

Nick, despite his hectic schedule, makes an effort to keep himself healthy. He prioritizes prayer to help him manage his time and make good choices. He makes sure he eats healthful, balanced meals, hydrates himself, and sleep as much as he can to keep himself healthy.

9. Use Your Heart

Several times has Nick always said to his audience that he uses his heart to compensate for not having arms and legs. It is a life lesson that anyone can take away. When you are crippled with your lack, or with something you don’t have, always keep in mind that you have a heart you can use in everything. He said he used his heart to achieve his dreams. Use your heart.

10. Have Faith

Nick’s faith in God is something that he is never ashamed to talk about. Nick’s faith in God has helped him overcome and achieve everything he has today and is still the reason why he does what he does. What do you believe in? Your faith can make you do what you want to do in life and take you places you’ve never been.

I am not someone who says “just have a positive attitude,” or “just have a little faith,” because without God, those words are meaningless, and empty. My faith in God, and my personal relationship has given me the strength to go on, and the humility and grace to ask Him to change my life each day.

11. Share Your Faith

Nick’s mission is to share his purpose which is a purpose God calls him to do. He always mentions his faith in his speeches and never fails to acknowledge how God has become his stronghold. His faith is actually the reason he founded his ministry and he is committed to sharing that faith with as many people as he can. What is your stronghold? What keeps you going? Share it with others.

12. Inspire Others

To inspire others means to encourage and motivate others, and that’s what Nick does, not only in his speeches but also in his life. He is living a full life and has achieved his dream of not only having a ministry but a family of his own. Dreams he never thought was possible when he was younger but he has now achieved. He is living his life’s purpose and he is inspiring millions of people. But this doesn’t mean you can’t inspire others if you don’t have a ministry, be a miracle in the smallest way you can when you can’t find one.

It’s not about the outside, about what you have, or don’t have, or money, or how big of a home. It’s knowing there’s no point in holding your wife’s hand if you can’t hold her heart. It’s about providing a home not a house for your kids and being the best father and husband you can be. Learning from the past and moving forward.

16 Nick Vujicic Quotes on Making the Most Out of Every Day

16 Nick Vujicic Quotes on Making the Most Out of Every Day

Born without limbs, but getting the best out of this life, Nick Vujicic is a powerful motivational speaker that manages to shake his audience to its very core every single time.

Having no arms and legs… imagine that for a second! It should be enough for your brain to take you through a series of events of how life would be like. Now imagine that this same man can swim, surf, play football, and golf.

In spite of all the challenges he had to put up with, Vujicic continues to push his limits and has made a name for himself in teaching others about self-love and confidence in the face of disability and adversity. It is ironic how our mind can paralyze us despite us having full control of our bodies; yet extraordinary of what it can offer when unlocked.

Here are 16 Nick Vujicic quotes to give you a new perspective on life and fire up the desire to live without limits:

If you can't get a miracle, become one.
It's a lie to think you're not good enough. It's a lie to think you're not worth anything.
The challenges in our lives are there to strengthen our convictions. They are not there to run us over.
Don't put your life on hold so that you can dwell on the unfairness of past hurts.
Some injuries heal more quickly if you keep moving.
Risk, then, is not just part of life. It is life. The place between your comfort zone and your dream is where life takes place.
Fear is the biggest disability of all. And will paralyze you more than being in a wheelchair.
Having faith, beliefs, and convictions is a great thing, but your life is measured by the actions you take based upon them.
But there is one thing better than going to Heaven and that is to encourage at least one other person to go with me.
You may not have a clue of what lies ahead, but it’s better to act on life than simply let life act on you.
Adjustments are necessary along the way because life isn't always rosy, but it is always worth living..
You should never live according to what you lack.
There are two types of risk in life: the danger of trying and the danger of not trying.
As long as you are aware and in control of your emotions, negative thoughts can produce positive consequences.
I was never crippled until I lost hope.
Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

Pamela Anderson has it all: beauty, fame and success. So why can’t the most famous blonde find her fairytale ending? Why is Pamela so unlucky in love and what dark secrets lie behind her seemingly glamorous life?

The Many Marriages of Pamela Anderson

See on Instagram

Pamela Anderson had a fairytale look at weddings from a young age. "I'd meet somebody, fall in love, and it would just be very romantic and it would be love at first sight."

But sadly, none of her nine weddings led to that dream relationship for the 56 year old actress.

While she looks to have found peace and calm in her later years, Anderson's previous relationships were fraught with abuse, drugs, and fear.

How many husbands did Pamela have over the years?

Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee (1995-1998, 2008-2010)

The bad-boy of rock, Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, was the first man to sweep Anderson off her feet. The two stars had a whirlwind relationship that resulted in sons Brandon and Dylan. But what was once a fairytale marriage was also incredibly 'tragic,' ending in Tommy Lee being charged with spousal and child abuse.

While the Baywatch babe refers to Tommy Leed as "the only man I ever really loved was Tommy Lee," the two were not able to make it work.

Anderson and Kid Rock (2001-2003, 2006)

Anderson married the controversial rapper and musician a total of four times, though she knew it was a mistake, "right when I got married."

It looks like there was no love lost, as both have confirmed they never spoke again after the split.

Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon (2007, 2013-2015)

Rick Salomon made a name for himself as a sometimes actor and poker player. Salomon turned out to have a serious drug addiction which Anderson only discovered when she found his crack pipe in the Christmas tree. Their marraige was annulled but they reconciled in 2013, thought the second marriage was short-lived.

Pamela Anderson and Jon Peters (2020) Kind of...

While it turned out the two never had an official marriage certificate, Anderson did announce her marraige to movie producer Jon Peters. Husband number five didn't last long, just a mere 12 days before the two split.

Pamela Anderson and Dan Hayhurst (2020-2022)

Anderson met her last husband, Dan Hayhurst, when he was the contractor for her house. The marriage survived two years before they went their separate ways.

"You know, it was more like trying to put a family unit back together. But I wasn't really in love. I just was going through the motions and then realizing, I have nothing in common with this person. Like I was putting people in my life to kind of numb some of the pain or be with someone, companionship, but nothing nothing healthy."

Rude Customer Has a Disagreement Over $6 - Teen Employees Have the Perfect Response

Teens Applauded For the Way They Handled This Angry Customer

Working in customer service can be challenging, especially when you’re dealing with rude and demanding clients. That’s particularly true for some teens, who work these jobs for part-time money and are often bullied by adults. Perhaps that’s why people are applauding these teen girls for the way they expertly handled an over-the-top customer.

An Angry Customer

It was a tough day for employees at Keke’s Snow Balls in Texas when an angry woman approached the window. She had placed a pickup order for a snow cone and because of a shift change, the snow cone wasn’t ready. Two days later, the customer came back and demanded a refund of $6.

A girl named Victoria was working the counter and listened to the woman’s complaints. According to Inside Edition , it was immediately clear this woman didn’t want to resolve things in the right way, and was trying to pick a fight. Another employee named Kaeley overheard it all.

“I was just listening in the back and, eventually, I could just hear she’s angry the whole time. So I was like, clearly she just wants to have a problem,” Kaeley recalled to the publication. “And I’m not about that, so I was like, ‘Okay let me just go give her $6 and we can move on, move past this.’ It was $6.”

An Unexpected Turn

At that point, the situation should have been resolved. However, Kaeley noticed the sign outside the window had fallen over during the dispute. So, she opened the window to fix it. That’s when the woman came by, slapped the sign out of the 17-year-old girl’s hand, and called her a derogatory name.

“M’am, please don’t act like that. You’re a grown woman,” Kaeley responded in a video that the restaurant then posted to TikTok . “You’re a grown woman. I’m 17. Get out of here. Don’t come back. Don’t come back. We don’t need your business.”

“I was scared and very confused,” Victoria added. “I wasn’t understanding what was going on.”

A Brilliant Online Reaction

After the owner posted the video online, it went viral and many people reached out to support the girls for their perfect reaction to the customer.

“People were traveling to come and see us from hours away,” the owner, Kyle, told Inside Edition . “We had people reaching out to us on TikTok asking how to tip the girls. We even had people going and leaving Google reviews that haven’t even been to the shop, saying they’re so proud of the girls and how they dealt with it,” he continued.

Kyle explained that he posted the video to remind everyone that the employees behind the counter are people, too. Adults, in particular, should try to remember that oftentimes, these are kids working to save up for cars, school, and other big life steps.

“Mistakes happen, but for you to go up and act like that as an adult, my whole point in uploading that video is to simply remind us all that we need to treat people better,” Kyle added.

"I am proud of the way our supervisor handled the situation," he added in the initial post . "We must strive for better behavior and respect in all interactions. It’s all about just being a kind person and approaching every situation with willingness to come to a good resolution."

We Are All the Same

As Kyle himself said, mistakes happen and no one is perfect. But demanding perfection of others can be a very lonely way to live. Rather than getting upset over an honest mistake and making someone feel bad or yelling at them, lead with grace and understanding. Not only will you help someone else feel respected, but you’ll probably get a better result from the situation, too.

When life doesn’t go our way, it can be easy to overreact or blame someone else. But by remembering that mistakes happen and this too shall pass, we can all live a little more peacefully.

Many of us are in these jobs because we’re trying to provide for our families or ourselves and our futures. Going to work can be hard enough, so remember to thank those who help you in the customer service industry and to tip well when appropriate. After all, we all want to feel appreciated at work.

40-Year-Old Mother of 3 Goes From Inmate to Princeton Intern

Life can take us down unexpected and scary roads. Sometimes, we don’t know how to get off those roads and begin the climb to a better future. As this mom proved, however, anything is possible with a second chance and a little determination .

A Former Inmate

Woman goes from inmate to Princeton intern.

Mary McCrary is a 40-year-old mother of three who spent three years in prison. According to Good Morning America , she served time at the Debra K. Johnson Rehabilitation Center in Nashville for a parole violation following a conviction for aggravated burglary.

McCrary dropped out of high school in Grade 10 and has since successfully pursued her GED, but it wasn’t until prison that she began thinking about further education . She hit a breaking point behind bars and decided it was time to turn her life around.

“When you get to a point where you're tired and don’t even want to live and you're hopeless and you feel useless and worthless, you have a decision to make,” she told the publication.

“I made the decision to use this time to do something different, to change my life, because I didn’t want to keep doing the same things and getting in trouble and ... doing whatever I had to to survive because it gets you in the exact same place.”

So, McCrary enrolled in a coding class as part of the center’s Persevere program, an initiative aimed at helping inmates earn certifications as front-end or full-stack web developers.

“The class alone made you feel like you’re a human being, that I was working towards something, that there is a goal in sight, I am going to accomplish something, and I did,” she added. “That does give you confidence and hope.”

A Life-Changing Opportunity

For the next six months, McCrary earned her certificate in front-end coding. She decided to develop her skills even more by enrolling at Nashville State Community College, which offers a program for inmates.

This past May, McCrary was granted parole, completed her supervision, and earned extra credits toward an associate’s degree. But not even she could anticipate what would happen next: an internship at Princeton.

The nine-week program is meant for formerly incarcerated undergrad students to gain experience and new opportunities, and so far, McCrary is excelling.

“Her dedication to building her future is evident in how she does not shy away from challenges and the unknown,” Bridgett vonHoldt, an associate professor at Princeton and the head of the internship program said. “She is a role model, demonstrating for anyone who thinks such change is impossible that nothing is impossible.”

As for McCrary, she knows this is an incredible opportunity and hopes the internship is the next step toward earning her AA degree back in Nashville.

“This has been life-changing in more ways than one. This is an unbelievable, sometimes overwhelming experience,” she said. “If you look at my past, it's a crazy shamble mess, but look now, look what can happen. Nothing is ever impossible.”

Second Chances

McCrary hopes to be a role model for those who are having a hard time accepting the idea of a brighter future and so far, she certainly is. She’s a great example of how things can get better and you can change your future when you’re willing to take advantage of the opportunities you have — even if they don’t seem like opportunities at the time.

This story is also a needed reminder that everyone deserves a second chance in life and that sometimes, by allowing someone who has messed up the chance to try again, they may surprise you.

No one is perfect, and everyone stumbles. It’s not how hard we fall that truly matters in life; it's how we pick ourselves back up. But it’s also up to us whether we want to be the person who lends someone on the ground a helping hand or if we want to be the guy who just keeps on walking.

Motivational speaker Nick Vujicic walks across the Rock Hill High School stage as he delivers a speech Wednesday, Oct. 19. Vujicic shared his story in honor of Unity Day. “My whole mission is to let teenagers know that they’re beautiful,” s Vujicic said. “They don’t need to become someone they’re not.”

Under the bright fixed lights, speaker Nick Vujicic looks across the Rock Hill High School auditorium of students raising their hands with closed eyes.

“Put your hand in a fist if you have ever attempted suicide because of bullying in this school,” Vujicic said. “Of 900 (here), 90 of you have thought of committing suicide.”

Silence rings through the room and Vujicic instructs the students to put their hands down.

“The amount of people who have attempted suicide is 40,” Vujicic said. “About 15 had attempted suicide because of the brokenness at home, and actually, it was closer to 20 because of bullying in this school.”

Born with tetra-amelia syndrome, Vujicic has lived his entire life without limbs. Using his story to inspire students across the world, Vujicic has visited high schools, presidents, and television channels to spread bullying awareness and suicide prevention. To wrap up national bullying awareness month, Vujicic made an appearance at the district’s Rock Hill campus to bring awareness to students. A few Prosper High students attended and/or watched via a live internet stream.

“You just have no idea how many people are having thoughts of suicide, or depression, or anxiety,” Vujicic said. “And, what you do – what you say – at school matters.”

nick vujicic motivational speech

Vujicic’s journey to become a motivational speaker started after hearing a presentation at his school when he was 13. But, his true inspiration came after seeing the impact he made on one student when he was a teenager.

“At age 17, I became a student leader,” Vujicic said. “I spoke, people cried and other people started inviting me to speak. I actually had a sophomore student hug me and say ‘thank you, no one’s ever told me that they love me, no one’s ever told me that I’m beautiful the way that I am’ and that’s when I knew, 77 countries later, 24 presidents behind doors, and been on television now to two billion people, and the biggest motivational speaker under age 40 in the world.”

Largely motivated by faith, Vujicic said that his reliance on God and Christianity has influenced and motivated him to share his story.

“My faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and (being) a Christian since age 15, has actually been the root and foundation of everything that has given me my purpose,” Vujicic said. “My joy, my attitude or gratitude, to believe that heaven is real helps me … to believe that my purpose can actually motivate people to not give up here but also make decisions for eternity.”

nick vujicic motivational speech

Experiencing bullying throughout his life, Vujicic said he felt isolated, experiencing depression along with suicidal thoughts throughout his life.

“So many years I was very depressed,” Vujicic said. “Because, I convinced myself that I’d never get married, that I’d never have a family. I’d never have a job. I employ now 25 people. I have four companies and 14 million social media fans, and the impact of what you can do just for one person is where it all started.”

Suffering from bullying himself, Vujicic described his experience with suicidal thoughts, finding comfort in the love he received at home. He explained that 40 percent of suicide attempts happen because of bullying at school, and he was not an exception.

“I was one of that statistic,” Vujicic said. “And at age 10, I had premeditated my suicide for two years. I went into my bathtub, and I tried to drown myself, and there was only one thought that stopped me from going through with it. It was because I had a mom and dad that every day told me: ‘You’re beautiful. We love you.’ And, because of that love, I stayed. If you’ve never ever been told these words, I love you. I don’t know who you are. I couldn’t care less. I love you.”

RHHS freshmen who attended Vujicic’s speech in-person spoke about the impact of Vujicic’s story, and finding motivation in his journey.

nick vujicic motivational speech

“I thought he really meant what he said,” freshman Tristan Daddio said. “I felt it in my heart. You know what I mean?”

Upperclassmen, who were able to virtually stream the speech from their classrooms, also gave their opinions on the importance of Vujicic’s speech.

“I thought it was very motivational,” said RHHS senior Ana Yanez. “I think it was something that the freshman definitely needed to hear, especially coming into their first year. Hearing his story can inspire any of us to overcome any life challenges.”

Vujicic continues to spread his message of love, helping students and saving lives across the globe. He said he wants every person to feel loved and cared for, regardless of appearance, experience, or status.

“My whole message and mission is to help teenagers, especially, know that they’re beautiful, Vujicic said. “You don’t need to become someone you’re not, to know that you have purpose. And, when you go through difficulties, don’t give up. Talk to someone, and help them to be thankful for what they have when you feel like you have less than everyone else.”

Kotturi and Prashanth's nonprofit coding organization Project UCode held review sessions for students taking the AP Computer Science A exam at Walnut Grove and Prosper high schools on Apr. 24 and May 1, respectively. "We walked through some of the basic test taking tips and the overall unit structure of how the CSA test works," Prashanth said. "We also kind of advised people how to proceed on that CSA aspect. Writing things down and keeping track of everything is really important in succeeding in CSA, especially with the amount of information they give you. So we kind of give them test taking tips, walk them through an FAQ, and gave them an opportunity as questions when they could just easily ask one of the three members out there any questions they had about the test."

Motivational speaker without limbs encourages students to love self, others

nick vujicic motivational speech

By Deseret News

Some of you think you wouldn't be missed if you weren't here. You're wrong. Some of you think that giving up is an option. I want you to know: Never, ever, ever give up. – Nick Vujicic

SALT LAKE CITY — Positive, smiling and full of jokes and energy, motivational speaker Nick Vujicic shared his message of hope and love with students Thursday during an assembly at Bryant Middle School.

"It's time to love yourself a little bit more," he said. "It's time you give yourself a chance."

The address was broadcast to schools throughout Utah, reaching potentially thousands of teens in the state. Vujicic, who was born without arms and legs, spoke candidly about bullying, suicide and making a positive difference in the world.

Audience members were asked to close their eyes and raise one hand in the air. Vujicic then asked them three questions, with the instruction they should close their fist to indicate a "yes" answer.

First, he asked if any students had considered suicide. Several fists closed. One in four, Vujicic said.

Next, how many of those felt driven to suicide because they had been bullied? Three-fourths of the first amount indicated that they had.

Finally, he asked how many had attempted suicide. According to Vujicic's count, 40 closed their fists.

"You don't know what the person sitting next to you is going through," he cautioned students.

Vujicic used this and other examples to illustrate the negative influence bullying can have. He talked about how he was picked on as a child. At 10 years old, Vujicic attempted to take his own life, he said, because he thought he had no hope for the future and had been bullied so much.

However, Vujicic said he thought of his loving parents and realized that he didn't want to put them through that kind of pain.

"Some of you think you wouldn't be missed if you weren't here. You're wrong. Some of you think that giving up is an option. I want you to know: Never, ever, ever give up," he said. "I couldn't see my hope. I couldn't see a bright future when I decided to stay."

Today, Vujicic is happy, independent, married and recently had a son. He golfs, swims and travels worldwide to share his message of hope.

"I love you," he told the students several times throughout the assembly.

At one point he asked, "Do you believe me?" That question was met with a resounding "Yes!" from a young man in the back of the auditorium.

A few classmates giggled, prompting Vujicic to invite the young man on stage. Seventh-grader Raquan Spencer ran up and hugged Vujicic and told the speaker that his story about overcoming obstacles and loving himself was inspiring.

"I felt really special to be up there with someone who inspires so many people," Raquan said after the assembly. "It means so much in the world to be up there with someone who inspires thousands and thousands of kids."

He said Vujicic's message inspired him to force for good and do his part to put a stop to bullying.

During a question and answer period at the end of the assembly, a student asked Vujicic how he had overcome his challenges.

Vujicic said four things factored into his success: an attitude of gratitude, seeing obstacles as opportunities for growth, a resolve to never give up, and his faith in Jesus Christ.

It was the positive message that resonated with Salt Lake City School District Superintendent McKell Withers. Beyond putting a stop to bullying, Vujicic encouraged students to learn to love themselves and learn to love others.

"It isn't just, 'Stop what's wrong,'" Withers said. "It's, 'Make the world better.'"

After the assembly, Vujicic said he has to turn down many requests for interviews, and he was grateful this speaking engagement was able to be broadcast to students statewide and beyond. He said his main purpose was to help the students learn to love themselves and each other.

Vujicic also spoke at Roy High School for an assembly and gave a separate, faith-based speech Thursday night. He is set to speak at Spanish Fork High School and American Fork Junior High and deliver two faith-based speeches at Utah Valley University and Jordan High School.

For Businesses:

Whether you have a small local business or a massive worldwide corporation, you have employees who need some motivation from time to time. In this hectic on-the-go world where work is no longer just a nine til five, Monday to Friday job, employers and employees find themselves getting tired of giving too much. Some find they don′t give enough. How do we get our employees to enjoy their job and work hard to reap the rewards?

Nick Vujicic speaks to employees about giving their all and performing their job to their fullest potential. If a man without arms and legs can start his own motivational speaking corporation and be the president of an international non-profit organization at the age of 25, than anyone- no matter what they think their limitations are, can make it in the business world.

Whether their job is making coffee, serving customers, answering phones, negotiating business deals, directing a company, or driving a bus, they each have a role to play and without people doing the jobs that they do, this world would not run the way that it does. Sometimes employees need to be pushed to get work done, sometimes they need some outside motivation. Nick brings an inspiring message to employees and employers alike, sharing the keys to success in being all that they can be in their workplace.

For Workers in the Education Industry:

Youth and young people today are so very impressionable. Parents are spending less and less time with their children meaning that the main influences in the lives of the new generation, aside from the media and peers, are their teachers. With educators playing such a crucial role in young peoples′ every day lives it is important that they stay motivated and that they realize the significance of their position. Nick Vujicic shares with educators that throughout his schooling years, the support and encouragement from his teachers was a major contributing factor in him finding victory despite his circumstances, as well as in him overcoming his obstacles against the odds. Nick′s words will refresh your educational staff and encourage them that what they are doing is for a greater cause and is effecting lives more than they might realize.
