‘నేనెవరు’ మూవీ రివ్యూ

కౌశల్ క్రియేషన్స్ పతాకంపై  భీమినేని శివప్రసాద్-తన్నీరు రాంబాబు సంయుక్తంగా నిర్మించిన చిత్రం "నేనెవరు". నిర్ణయ్ పల్నాటి దర్శకత్వంలో తెరకెక్కింది. లవ్... సస్పెన్స్ అండ్ క్రైమ్ థ్రిల్లర్ గా తెరకెక్కిన ఈ చిత్రం ఈరోజు (డిసెంబర్ 2) ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చింది.  ఈ చిత్రం ప్రేక్షకుల్ని ఏమాత్రం థ్రిల్ కు గురిచేసిందో రివ్యూలో చూద్దాం. 

కథేంటంటే..  క్రిష్ (కోలా బాలకృష్ణ), చిత్ర (గీత్ షా) ఇద్దరు ప్రేమించుకుంటారు. ఓ విషయంలో గొడవపడి విడిపోతారు. ప్రియురాలు దూరం కావడంతో క్రిష్‌ డిప్రెషన్‌లోకి వెళ్లిపోతాడు. ప్రేయసిని తలచుకుంటూ... తాగుడుకు బానిసై అందరితో గొడవ పడుతూ... కనిపించిన వారికి అంతా తన లవ్ స్టోరీ చెబుతూ తిరిగేస్తూ ఉంటాడు.  అయితే అదే సమయంలో  తన మేనత్త, మేనత్త కూతురు (తనిష్క్ రాజన్), జీకే(బాహుబలి ప్రభాకర్‌), మేనత్త అనుచరుడు నాయుడు వరుస హత్యలకు గురవుతారు. ఆ హత్యలకు కారణం ఎవరు? క్రిష్‌ జీవితంలోకి చిత్ర మళ్లీ వచ్చిందా లేదా? అనేదే మిగతా కథ. 

ఎలా ఉందంటే..  ప్రేమతో ముడిపడిన క్రైం థ్రిల్లర్ మూవీ ఇది.  ఫస్ట్ హాఫ్ లో హీరోని భగ్న ప్రేమికుడిగా, తాగుబోతుగా చూపించి... ఆ తరువాత... మర్డర్ మిస్టరీని ఛేదించిన విధానం ప్రేక్షకుల్ని థ్రిల్ కి గురి చేస్తుంది. ముఖ్యంగా ప్రీ క్లైమాక్స్ నుంచి క్లైమాక్స్ వరకూ క్రైం అండ్ ఎమోషనల్ ఎలిమెంట్స్ ఆడియెన్స్ ను ఆకట్టుకుంటాయి. దర్శకుడు రొటీన్ జోనర్స్ ని టచ్ చేయకుండా... ఓ డిఫరెంట్ జోనర్లో ఈ మూవీని తెరకెక్కించాడు. కథ, కథనాల పరంగా చిన్న చిన్న లోపాలు ఉన్నాయి. వాటిని సరిదిద్దుకొని ఉంటే సినిమా ఫలితం మరోలా ఉండేది. 

ఎవరెలా చేశారంటే.. హీరోగా నటించిన కోలా బాలకృష్ణ భగ్న ప్రేమకుడిగా... రివెంజ్ డ్రామా లో ... మాస్ ను మెప్పించే పాత్రలో చక్కని నటన కనబరిచాడు. అలానే అతనికి జంటగా ప్రేయసి పాత్రలో గీత్ షా... చక్కగా నటించింది. హీరోను ప్రాణానికి ప్రాణంగా ప్రేమించే యువతిగా... కాస్త సైకోలా బిహేవ్ చేసే పాత్రలో ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. అలాగే హీరో మరదలిగా తనిష్క్ రాజన్ మెప్పించింది. ఆమె అమ్మగా లేడి దాధాగా నటించిన నటి కూడా బాగా చేసింది. ఇక పోలీస్ ఆఫీసర్ గా నటించిన సాక్షి చౌదరి తనదైన నటనతో ఆకట్టుకుంది. బాహుబలి ప్రభాకర్ జి.కె.పాత్రలో విలన్ గా. హీరో స్నేహితునిగా కమెడీయన్ సుదర్శన్  తమ పాత్రల పరిధి మేరకు నటించి ఆకట్టుకున్నారు. ఆర్.జి.సారథి అందించిన సంగీతం సీన్స్ ను ఎలివేట్ చేశాయి. సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ బాగుంది.  కోలా భాస్కర్ ఎడిటింగ్ పర్వాలేదు. నిర్మాణ విలువలు సినిమా స్థాయికి తగ్గట్టుగా ఉన్నాయి.

‘Nenevaro’ Review

Film: Nenevaro

Among the films that were released this weekend, there’s a small film made with newcomers titled ‘Nenevaru’. Produced jointly by Bhimineni Siva Prasad & Tanner Ram Babu under Kushal Creations, the film marks the debut of the director Nirnay Palnatee, along with the majority of the cast.

Story: The film begins with the break up of Krish & Chitra who was in deep love for a significant amount of period. Citing various reasons, Chitra dumps Krish and this turns Krish into a heartbroken, roadside Romeo crying over his Juliet. His severe depression overtakes him and slowly he slips into a very dark phase of life where he’s just sobbing and consuming alcohol to cope with his broken heart. Unknown to him is the crime that is eliminating his family. While he is going through this, his family members get murdered by a mysterious killer. It begins with his cousin’s aunt, her daughter, and their guardian and slowly it seems to grow. While Krish keeps narrating his love story to strangers, cops are not able to solve these murders. At one point he is dragged into the case and put all the details in front of him. This shall be a turning point for Krish and starts investigating these murders. How he solves these crimes forms the crux of the story.

Review: The Telugu audience loves crime thrillers. Even a mediocre plot & performance can impress our audience as we are that hungry for crime thrillers and ‘Nenevaro’ shall serve as a good dish for our taste. It is pretty evident that the team has decided to go by content than star value and the film proves why. The film takes an impressive pace & take from pre-climax and the climax revelation is bound to thrill the viewers.

Along with the writing & direction by Nirnay Palnatee, the performance of the lead cast, Balakrishna Kola & Geeth Shah are very much impressive. The cinematography by Samal Bhasker deserves a special mention, and so are the fights by ‘Real’ Satish & Krishna Bommana. Background score by R. G. Sarathee keeps the film on a high note and the audience on the seat edge.

With an intention of not ruining the viewer experience we have tried to keep the review as spoiler-free as possible. But, any crime-thriller lover can easily enjoy this impressive attempt!

‘Nenevaru’ to be love, suspense thriller

Actor Kola Balakrishna is the son of senior film editor late Kola Bhasker, who had worked with numerous Telugu and Tamil movies

Starring Kola Balakrishna and Sakshi Chaudhary in the lead roles, an upcoming movie titled ‘Nenevaru’ has wrapped up its shoot. The first look poster has been released by the makers. Actor Kola Balakrishna is the son of senior film editor late Kola Bhasker, who had worked with numerous Telugu and Tamil movies.

Touted to a love and suspense thriller, Nenevaru is being directed by Nirnay Palnati and produced by Bhimaneni Siva Prasad and Tanneru Rambabu jointly under the banner Kaushal Creations banner. Poonam Chand Kamavath and Kiran Kumar are the co-producers.

Along with actors Raja Ravindra, Dil Ramesh, DS Rao, Thagubothu Ramesh, Venu, Sudarshan Reddy, Neeraja, the principal cast also includes Tanishq Rajan and Geet Shah who are playing key roles. Bahubali Prabhakar is the antagonist in the movie. Aditya Music has bagged the audio rights for the movie. Music is from RG Saradhi.

Raayan Premise

"Raayan" marks Dhanush's second directorial effort, following his 2017 film "Pa Paandi." Malayalam film Neru, starring Mohanlal, is now streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar. The movie is available for streaming in Telugu too. Let’s see how the movie is.

Sara Mohammed (Anaswara Rajan), a blind girl, gets raped in broad daylight when her parents are not home. Sara is a sculptor by profession through, which she helps Police arrest the criminal. But Sara faces many battles when she takes the legal route, as none of the lawyers come forward to help her. Vijayamohan (Mohanlal), a lawyer who hasn’t handled any trial in a long time, takes up the responsibility. What happened later forms the crux of the story.

Plus Points:

Jeethu Joseph’s films are known for their uniqueness. Neru also has such a different point. It is a court drama where Mohanlal fights for a girl who has been raped by a wealthy and influential person. But the girl is blind, and this makes the movie more interesting. As there aren’t any eyewitnesses, the case becomes tricky.

From the moment Mohanlal is introduced, the movie becomes more engaging. The actor delivers a remarkable performance in Neru and, indeed, is one of the best portrayals by a star hero. The impact becomes multifold due to the way Mohanlal portrayed his character in a dignified manner.

Anaswara Rajan, who played the victim, gave a superb performance. The way she exhibited her apprehension makes us root for her. Priyamani, Siddique, and Santhi Mayadevi did complete justice to their roles. The Telugu dubbing is neatly done.

Minus Points:

Though Neru has a touching story, the screenplay could have been more intriguing. Unlike the Drishyam series, the narrative isn’t razor-sharp, and hence, Neru will take time to grow on us. The pacing could have been better as the movie gets slowed down many times.

The court proceedings are a bit confusing at times which is due to the complicated technical jargon. The editing team should have reduced the film’s length a bit. At times, Neru will remind us of other courtroom dramas. Priyamani influencing the witness multiple times in court seemed illogical.

Technical Aspects:

The music by Vishnu Shyam is decent. Though there are only a few locations, DOP Satheesh Kurup does a good job. The court scenes are neatly captured. The production values are adequate, and the editing is below par.

Jeethu Joseph took a good story and touched upon aspects like victim harassment and witness tampering, which generally happen in such cases. These will hold our attention, though the screenplay isn’t fully engaging. Mohanlal’s subtle acting is the best thing about Neru.

On the whole, Neru is a decent courtroom drama with a remarkable performance by Mohanlal. Apart from the sensitive point, the movie also deals with other sub-topics like women empowerment, witness tampering, and victim harassment. The screenplay isn’t as good as Jeethu Joseph’s earlier movies, and the pacing is slow. Though there are shortcomings, Neru is watchable as the attempt is honest.
