A house is the most important place in one’s life. It is the place where one can rest, have fun, and feel safe, too. Everyone has an idea of their dream house, including children. In fact, we think children have really cool ideas about their dream home! If you have a child, encourage them to write an essay about it, and you’ll be amazed at how creatively they express themselves. Writing on the topic will keep your child engaged and also expand their imagination. Hand them a pen and paper, and if possible, write with them and share each other’s ideas about your dream house. For the kids who need a kickstart, here are some tips they can remember before they pen down an impressive essay on ‘My Dream House’.

There are some important points your child needs to remember while writing an essay on their dream house. Here’s a step-by-step guide you can use to help your child describe their dream house:

  • In the first step, let your child’s imagination take over and ideate on what they want to write on the topic.
  • Let them then pen down the ideas on paper. This will form an outline, and it will help them cover all the points while writing the paragraph.
  • In the next step, guide your child to form easy-to-read short and simple sentences from the outline.
  • Motivate your child to elaborate on each idea instead of describing one particular idea.
  • Help your child to write with the flow. This will help them enjoy writing the essay.
  • Your child can mention how they want their dream house to be, the importance of a home, how the family bonds in the house, etc.

One’s dream house plays an important role in their life. These lines will help your child to write a simple 10-line essay on ‘My Dream House’ for class 1 and class 2.

  • My dream house is big.
  • There will be open space in the front and at the back.
  • It will have a big lawn and a backyard.
  • There will be a garden full of flowers in the front.
  • Organic vegetables will grow in the backyard.
  • The house will have big rooms.
  • The windows will be very big.
  • There will be lots of sunshine and air.
  • There will be a small pool.
  • The whole family will enjoy living in the house.

This short paragraph on the topic would help your little one elaborate on their ideas and write the essay with a flow:

My dream house will be a white coloured house with peach borders. It will have a lot of open space all around it. There will be plenty of plants in and around the house. The lawn in front of the house will have bright blooming flowers, like roses, sunflowers, jasmines, dahlias, lilies, and lavender. The house will also have a fence and tall trees all along the fence. I wish to have neem trees, mango trees, dates, Gulmohar trees, cotton trees, masquerade trees, and coconut trees. My dream house will be surrounded by greenery. I will live in the house with my parents, grandparents, brother, and my cutest little furry friend, Lucky.

And, how can we forget a long paragraph? Here’s an example your child can use when writing their own essay:

My dream house is a beautiful white house with peach borders. There’s a lot of open space around the house. It will have a lawn and garden in the front. There will be a big backyard, too. The garden will be filled with bright, fragrant flowers, especially clusters of pink, white, yellow, peach, and red roses. There will be sunflowers, lilies, marigolds, dahlias, jasmines, and many other flowers. I will also grow healthy and nutritious organic vegetables and fruits in the backyard. We can have those fruits and veggies every day.

There will also be a tiny pool behind the house. We will have lots of fun in the pool throughout the summer. Tall trees will stand along the whole length of the fence. There will be mango trees, neem trees, Gulmohar, dates, cotton trees, coconut trees, and masquerade trees. It will be nice to see the sun setting behind the trees. In the mornings, I will wake up to the chirping of the birds nesting in those trees. The house will also have big balconies with plenty of plants in brightly painted ceramic pots.

I will live in the house with my parents, grandparents, brother, and my sweetest little furry friend, Lucky. We will spend a lot of time bonding with each other in this house. The house will have big rooms with lots of sunshine and air. The walls will have beautiful paintings. Some of my drawings will also be framed and put on the walls. I will decorate the house with strings of lights that will sparkle and shine. There will be colourful curtains that will sway with the cool breeze. There will be small cosy mattresses in each room for Lucky. She can enjoy being in any room she wants.

The house will also have a bathtub where I will play with squeeze toys, splashing water. There will be a pinboard next to my study table where I will put up positive thoughts. We will also have a small library that will stock many books. On the lawn, we will play throw and fetch balls. Lucky enjoys it when she fetches the ball for us. We will also play badminton. I love to play these two games. There will be a tea table under an umbrella with a few chairs on the lawn. We will have a nice time sipping juice while the elders take tea or coffee. At night, we will lie down and count stars in the sky. The whole family will have the best time in this house!

For your child, writing this essay will help them expand their imagination and enhance their vocabulary and creative skills. Your little one will also enjoy the creative freedom they get while penning down their thoughts, no matter how offbeat they are.

We hope the above blog will help your child write a beautiful essay on the topic. A house symbolises togetherness, love, bonding, and positivity. When your child expresses their thoughts and feelings about their dream house, they will not only improve their written communication skills but also train their subconscious mind to bring their dream house to life someday!

Short Essay on Home, Sweet Home 250 Words for Kids and Students in English

‘East or West, home is the best. It is a famous old saying, which is true to the hilt. I live in a small flat. My father owns it on hire-purchase basis and pays monthly installments. When the house was allotted, it was only a one-room set. We were not born at that time. As the family grew in size, my father added one more room, since it is an extendable flat, to meet the needs of the growing family.

Home, Sweet Home Essay

It is a compact dwelling in which we have all the basic facilities within the four walls. We have combined the bathroom and toilet and created a small kitchen. There are marble chips on the floor. We have covered the drawing-room with a wall-to-wall carpet. The showcase in the drawing-room has been arranged very nicely in the centre. Whenever we visit some historical place, we bring some memento and place them in the show-case. We have arranged the drawing-room in such a manner as would allow it to be changed into a guest room. I have a folding study-table in one corner and a computer in other.

There is a box-type double bed in the bed room. We have filled those boxes with our winter clothes. The almirah in the corner contains all our clothes that are used at present. We have a TV set in one corner and a computer other.

It is a small house, but it is the most comfortable place and heaven for me.

My Home Essay

Home is one of the best places in our life that provide peace and comfort to each and everyone in this universe. It brings love and life for members living united in a home. Whenever we go for any tour and remain few days outside our city then after returning we feel complete satisfaction after haphazard life of walking from one hotel to another. At that moment we realise the real value of our home.

My Parent is the Powerhouse of My Home:

Strong ethical foundation is the reason of our complete happiness:.

He has actually laid an extremely strong ethical foundation of our character. And my sister is the cutest creature I've ever seen. SHe is so little however she is quite efficient in revealing her issue for me. When I am in a severe state of mind, her giggles make me laugh even. I am fully guided with my religious foundation of Islam that is the starting and final way of life as per instruction of Almighty Allah as per the belief of my home and family members. May Allah bless us all and fulfill our home with joy, happiness, peace and satisfaction.

My home is situated on Mahatma Gandhi Road; which lies in the New colony. Formerly, it was a common locality, and now it has completely turned into a high-class location.

My Feeling and Happiness with my home design:

We are very delighted with this house. Hence, I can state that happiness relies on the mindset of a household and not on the size of your home or other ownerships that we have. My Home design is a very important and memorable planning of my Grandfather. Therefore its design is very close to my heart.

Outside of My home :Essay on my home

My house has a courtyard on both right and left side when watched from Verandah. Behind our house, there is another similar house. On both sides likewise, we have houses of next-door neighbors.

Thus, our house opens freely on one side only. On this side, we have a high border wall which keeps us practically shut off from whatever may be occurring in the street exterior.

I reside in this small house. It has three-bedrooms, one dining room, one long kitchen, and one Guest Room beside a bathroom and toilet.

Home Goods and Construction Material:

My house is made of brick concrete, though high-grade marble houses are now rather typical in this Area. It is an old one and requires few repairs. My mother says that she will one day pull it down and construct a brand-new one in its location.

Since we have no cars and truck and have a scooter just, we have no parking issue. We park my bike in the left side of the verandah and therefore it remains safeguarded against sun and shower.

My moms and dads share one bed-room and I have the other bed-room where all home goods near me are available. I think, my space is quite all right for my requirements, though it likewise includes a closet in a part of it; where the clothes of all the three members of the family are put.

My Feeling has Strong Attachement to My Home

My family wants to reconstruct it. I, however, like my house and do not want that it should ever be demolished. I have, certainly, grown obsessed with it. My feeling has attached to my home so much that I cannot ever think for any modification or reconstruction. Its my way and feelings about my home.

Essay on My House for Students and Children

500+ words essay on my house.

Essay on My House:  The world consists of all types of people. Some are fortunate enough to have amenities while some aren’t. Especially in a country like India, where the majority of the population lives below the poverty line . To own a house here is no less than a luxury, one which I thankfully have. I am blessed to be protected by four walls and a roof.

Essay on My house

It is my parent’s hard work that has given us this blessing. Many people in today’s world are always complaining about the things they don’t have. The person who has a house wants a bungalow. The one who owns a bungalow wants a palace. The one living in a palace wants an island. This never-ending cycle goes on. However, if we look at the people below us rather than those who are above us, we will be happier.

An Underrated Blessing

Having a house is an underrated blessing. If you have not realized it yet, you can go and ask any person who doesn’t have a house. Only then will you realize what a great blessing it is to have a house. Houses do not necessarily have to be luxuriously filled with the latest amenities. A house is complete if you have a roof over your head.

Moreover, if you have your loved ones around, then there can be no greater blessing. You must realize the importance of your house before it gets too late. Even I never knew how precious my house was up until one incident that changed my outlook.

We had house help growing up. The maid who used to work for us always came early in the morning and would leave in the evening. Even when my mother asked her to leave early as she completed the work on time, she never did that. On the other hand, she used to do extra work. Later we found out that she never really had a house. It was just a hut which had one chair and one folding. And that she liked spending time most of the time at our house because she had access to all basic facilities like electricity and clean water.

This incident made me realize how I took my house for granted. It is truly an underrated blessing which is overlooked by others. We must value our homes before it gets too late.

I live in my ancestral home with my grandparents, parents, and siblings. My grandfather built this house with his hard work. It has four rooms, one kitchen, two bathrooms, and a patio. My house is at least fifty years old.

I admire the beauty of my house. The vintage vibes make it even more beautiful. My grandparents have a small garden in the patio which adds greenery to my house. Moreover, it also has two trees. One is a pomegranate tree and the other is a Henna tree. They provide us with shade and sweet fruits.

My house has very high ceilings as it was made many years back. It has vintage switchboards which give it a very unique look. My house is situated in the middle of four roads. It is not joined to any other house. My house has four entrances from each side.

Whenever my friends come over to my house, they click a lot of pictures. Even my relatives love the interior of the house which is a mix of modern and vintage architecture. My house is colored in brown and beige color and it stands out in our locality.

Essay on Home Sweet Home in 1000-1500 Words

Home Sweet Home

There is a famous saying that goes, “Home is where the heart is.” This sentiment rings true for many people around the world. Home is not just a physical structure where we reside, but it is a place where we feel safe, loved, and comfortable. It is a place where we can truly be ourselves and unwind after a long day. Home is where we create memories, share laughter, and find solace in times of need. In this essay, I will explore the concept of “Home Sweet Home” and delve into what makes a house a home.

To many, the idea of home conjures up images of a cozy living room with a crackling fireplace, a warm kitchen filled with the aroma of home-cooked meals, and a comfortable bedroom where one can rest peacefully. These physical aspects of a home are important, as they provide us with shelter, warmth, and security. However, a house is not truly a home until it is filled with love, laughter, and memories.

One of the key elements that make a house a home is the people who inhabit it. Family plays a crucial role in creating a sense of belonging and comfort within a household. Whether it is parents, siblings, children, or extended family members, the bonds we share with our loved ones are what truly make a house feel like home. The laughter of children playing in the backyard, the smell of a home-cooked meal wafting through the house, and the sound of family members chatting and sharing stories are all integral parts of the home experience.

In addition to family, friends also play a significant role in making a house feel like home. Friends are the family we choose for ourselves, and they bring joy, companionship, and support into our lives. Whether it is hosting a dinner party, having a movie night, or simply sharing a cup of tea and a chat, friends add an extra layer of warmth and happiness to our homes. They create a sense of community and belonging that is essential for a fulfilling home life.

Another important aspect of home is the sense of security and safety it provides. Home is a sanctuary where we can retreat from the outside world and feel protected from harm. It is a place where we can let our guard down, be vulnerable, and seek comfort in times of need. Knowing that we have a safe and secure place to return to at the end of the day gives us peace of mind and allows us to recharge and rejuvenate for the challenges that lie ahead.

Home is also a place where we can express ourselves and showcase our personality and interests. Whether it is through the decor, furniture, or personal belongings we choose to display, our homes are a reflection of who we are as individuals. From family photos and artwork to souvenirs from travels and cherished mementos, our homes tell the story of our lives and the experiences that have shaped us. Creating a space that is uniquely ours allows us to feel a sense of ownership and pride in our homes.

Furthermore, home is a place where we can create lasting memories and traditions that bring us joy and comfort. Whether it is celebrating holidays, birthdays, or special occasions with loved ones, or simply enjoying a quiet evening at home with a good book or a favorite movie, these moments help to strengthen the bonds we share with our family and friends. Traditions such as Sunday dinners, game nights, or annual vacations become cherished rituals that we look forward to and hold dear in our hearts.

In conclusion, home is much more than just a physical structure; it is a place where we find love, comfort, and belonging. It is a sanctuary where we can be ourselves, create lasting memories, and share laughter and joy with those we hold dear. Home is where we feel safe, secure, and at peace, and it is a place that holds a special significance in our hearts. As the saying goes, “Home Sweet Home” is a sentiment that resonates with us all, as it encapsulates the warmth and love that we associate with the place we call home.

My Family Paragraph

I have a very big family with around 8 members in it. My grandparents, parents, my sister, uncle, aunt and me. They are wonderful people and I like all of my family members. My mother and father both are working employees, so I get to spend more time with my grandparents who tell me many stories about various things. We all eat our dinner together every day

My father and mother both work in the government sector and they tell us many things about their work. My uncle works in the private sector. My uncle is a gaming designer who teaches us many interesting things and shows us many new games. My sister goes to the same school and we have many friends in common.

My grandfather is a retired police officer, who is very strict and punctual about our daily work. He teaches us about disciples and makes sure we follow them. My grandmother is a housewife and prepares all of my favourite dishes. We always discuss our day while having dinner together.

We go on various trips to many places. Once a month we go on a picnic and every six months once we go to different places. We celebrate every festival together with lots of sweets and our extended family also takes part along with us. Every week Saturday and Sunday we go with my father and uncle to play sports on the ground. They train us on many activities like running, volleyball and swimming.

We all love each other, respect and care for each other's feelings. They teach me good lessons about unity, love and cooperation among ourselves. We pray to god every single day and wish everyone to have a good day. I feel that families are a blessing not everyone is fortunate enough to have. However, you have respect and care about every member of the family. It is not good to disobey them. Many people these days spend time away from the family in order to become independent.

However, they do realize the importance of a family then. Families are really essential as they help in our growth and development. They establish us into a complete person with which we create our own individual identity. Moreover, they always provide us with a sense of security and this gives us a safe environment.

We learn how to socialize from our families only and this will develop our intellect. Many studies show that people who live and stay with their families tend to be happier than ones living alone.

Families are the only ones who always believe in us when the whole world doubts us. Similarly, when we are down and out of control, they are the first ones to cheer you up. Certainly, it is a true blessing to have a positive family by our side.

In a society, a family is a social group of people who live together under the same roof. It consists of two or more individuals, such as parents and grandparents, as well as small children, who are linked by birth or blood. They're all referred to as "family members." In a mutual relationship, each family member is committed to the other. A family occupies a unique position in both an individual's life and the society in which he or she lives. Essay On My Home | Suitable For All Class Students

Abdul Aouwal's Profile Picture

Any dwelling place man lives in can not be called a home. That can simply be called a house. A house has to be provided and enriched with some family affairs, warmth of family relationships and such-like things to make it a home. Considered from this point of view, the home I live in is a perfect home, a sweet home indeed.

Perhaps the reader will want to know why I call the house I live in a home and what things there are in it. To begin with, I must tell you that I have a relationship with my home as though it were a living being or rather a small self-sufficient system of man-man-material relationships.

My home gives me comfortable accommodation, shelter, security, love, and affection. I live with a family consisting of nine members. They are my parents, three brothers and one sister, my eldest brother's wife, and my grandmother.

The house is a big one. There is a separate room for each of us. The house is made of brick-a two-storeyed building. The entire house covers a land area of ten 'kadthas.'. That is why the rooms are fairly large, the drawing room being the largest of all. There is a slice of land in front of the house. We made this land into a beautiful flower-garden this year.

The existence of a little pond in the midst of the garden adds to the beauty of the entire home. There are no children in our home. But our beautiful youngest sister adorns the home and gives it a personality. It is said that a home without a beautiful girl or woman is not a home, indeed. I may gladly inform you that within a few months we will have a new member in our family. To speak straightly, a child is coming to our eldest brother and his wife.

We have a goodwill for being an educated family. My mother is very hospitable and loving. She loves all the friends of ours like her own children. As a result, our home is often crowded with our friends. But this does not hamper the peace of the family or the tranquility of the atmosphere.

Do you think that only what I have described so far make up a good or a sweet home? We do not think so. We can not think of our home without animals. We have three cats, two dogs, and some birds. The birds live in a big cage placed in the garden. Their cage is so made that they can roam about freely all through the garden. Our home is a living example of unbreakable love between man and animals.

Happiness really depends on the mental satisfaction of people, rather than on the exuberance of wealth or money. We are a well-off family, but not a very rich one. We spend what we earn. Yet we are happy and satisfied. We enjoy what we have and never become anxiously greedy for what we do not have. Our parents brought us up that way. I belive that this is one of the reasons for our being a happy family.

Every member of our home has full respect for others. These mutual understanding, sympathy, patience, a sense of belonging, and satisfaction have built up a solemn atmosphere of a sweet comfortable home.

Wherever I go away to perform my mundane duties, I always cherish in the mind the sweet hope of returning home. When I am away from my sweet home, I am homesick.
