Reviews provide potential customers with an insight into the quality of a business, and can also be used to help persuade customers to choose one business over another.

Importantly, FB reviews can also help all types of organizations understand what their audiences think of them, and can provide valuable feedback for them to act on. Reviews are a uniquely powerful form of social proof, often determining which brands and businesses gain the upper hand. Precisely, why it has become the norm to buy Facebook reviews – a quick and easy way to tap into the power and influence of positive feedback.

Who Needs Facebook Page Reviews?

Organizations of all types and sizes can benefit from getting positive reviews on their Facebook pages. This includes small and large businesses, nonprofits and charities, online sellers, and anyone looking to build a more standout presence on Facebook.

Reviews provide an important signal to the world that your brand is trustworthy and dependable. Positive reviews can also give you more visibility and an edge over your competitors. Facebook page reviews can be very influential, as they are one of the first things people look at when considering a purchase.

Reviews can give potential customers an idea of the quality and value of the product or service they are considering. Positive reviews can help to build trust and credibility, while negative reviews can indicate areas where a business needs to improve.

Ultimately, Facebook business page reviews can significantly impact a business's reputation and success. In short, the more five-star Facebook recommendations your business page gets, the better.

Why Should You Buy Facebook Reviews?

Buying Facebook reviews enables you to fast-track the benefits of collecting positive feedback organically. Millions of businesses now regularly pay for reviews, which in today’s competitive social media landscape can be a real gamechanger.

Just a few of the major benefits of purchasing positive reviews for your Facebook page are as follows:

Gain Credibility

Every positive review you gain is an indication of credibility. The higher the number of five-star reviews you get, the more credible and legit you look. This means that when you buy positive reviews, you permanently invest in your brand’s credibility. This can help you stand out from the crowd in your niche, while at the same time broadening your appeal to a wider audience of potential customers.

Strengthen Trust

There’s also a direct link between a brand’s online reputation and its assumed trustworthiness. If you want your target audience to trust you and believe what you say, you need all the positive feedback you can get.

Businesses that have earned plenty of positive Facebook reviews are always seen as more trustworthy than those with lower ratings. Buying positive reviews is the quickest and easiest way to improve your rating, which could make it easier to build trust with your audience.

Build Brand Value

Some brands are synonymous with quality and value,Making it easier to have a great reputation with the customers. Where a brand has predominantly high ratings, it’s naturally assumed to be a superior brand or business. Consequently, the products and services they provide are believed likewise to be superior by association. Purchasing reviews can therefore be a great way to tip the balance in your favor, ensuring you don’t lose business to the competition.

Increase Traffic to Your Website

Plenty of positive feedback is a must if you use your Facebook page to channel traffic to an external website. Where potential customers find you on Facebook, they’ll first look at your rating. A high rating and a stockpile of positive reviews suggests a brand worth doing business with.

When people see positive star ratings and feedback about your business, they are more likely to click through to your website. If your star rating and feedback in general aren’t up to scratch, they’ll take their business elsewhere.

To Gain a Competitive Edge

Last, all social media businesses face ferocious competition from rival brands. For consumers, it’s often the ratings and overall feedback a business has that matter most. You'll benefit from a major competitive edge if you have a higher rating and more positive reviews than your rivals. Buying reviews can therefore be a great way to tip the balance in your favor, ensuring you don’t lose business to the competition.

If we are unable to deliver your reviews as promised, you will be able to claim a refund of the initial purchase price. Safe Delivery

We’ll begin the process of writing and submitting your reviews no later than 24 hours after receiving your order. After which, the rest of your reviews will be submitted over the course of a few working days. Prices start from as little as $2.00 – an affordable way to add credibility and appeal to your Facebook business page.

Custom Reviews

Best of all, we provide our customers with the freedom to write their own custom reviews. You can specify any content you like for your reviews, which we will then submit with 5 star ratings via active and authentic Facebook profiles. This way, you can send any message you like to your target audience, and highlight the most important aspects of your business.

If you target a specific location with your products or services, our targeted Facebook reviews come highly recommended. Buy Facebook Reviews

facebook reviews for sale

The sad reality is, only a handful will remember to rate your business no matter how good it is. Perhaps, it’s because most people are unwilling and hesitant to be the first ones to write a recommendation. They would only rate the business if others have done before them. So if your Facebook page has a bunch of recommendations and good ratings, then your customers are more prone to leave their opinions and recommendations

What is Facebook Recommendations?

One of the main features of Facebook, Facebook Recommendations (formerly Facebook Reviews), is feature that allows a Facebook user to get recommendations from their communities as to where to shop, where to eat or where to go. It’s very prominent feature, especially on business pages.

Why Buy Facebook Recommendations?

  • Facebook recommendations are informative. You can add tags like “good food”, “great experience”, “excellent service”, “free Wi-FI” and more. With tags, it will be easier for Facebook users and prospective customers to know what your business can offer.
  • Buying Facebook recommendations will improve your organic rich. It is discoverable when potential customers search your business on Facebook. This makes it easier for potential customers to make informed decisions that can boost your business’ revenue.
  • It builds trust and confidence towards your brand and business.

Beware of these fake offers on Facebook that will steal your information

  • Scams & Rip-Offs

Some type of new Facebook scam surfaces just about every day — and there’s never a shortage of fake deals and discounts out there that are just after your money!

These offers typically appear harmless — just like this photo or page to win xxx — when in reality, they can cause some serious damage.

Beware of fake offers on Facebook

You should always be on the lookout for fake offers online and especially on Facebook — as scammers try to take advantage of people who are looking for ways to save.

In fact, a  fake Dollar General coupon pops up again and again with scammers claiming to offer a $60 coupon in exchange for users’ information.

When you see what looks like a great deal on Facebook (or anywhere online), if the offer seems too good to be true, you might hesitate at first. But then there’s that feeling that you could be missing out on a seriously good deal, so you check it out.

Maybe you’ve never heard of the website, but it has millions of likes on Facebook, great photos of all the products, and the page even posts links back to some website several times a day — that does not mean it is a legitimate company or legitimate offer!

Just like we see in other phishing and online scams , criminals are pretty good at making these offers and Facebook pages very official-looking — using professional photos and very enticing language.

And these scams come in all different shapes and sizes.

How to avoid fake offers and other scams circulating on Facebook

Red flags that an offer or company on Facebook is fake:

  • The Facebook page has zero negative reviews or comments.
  • If you can’t find a phone number or address for the company.

What to do if you’ve responded to an alert or other notification that you think could be a scam:

  • Get rid of malware . Update or download legitimate security software and scan your computer. Delete anything it identifies as a problem.  Here’s a list of free antivirus and malware protection options .
  • Change any passwords that you gave out. If you use these passwords for other accounts, change those accounts, too.
  • If you paid for bogus services with a credit card, call your credit card provider and ask to reverse the charges. Check your statements for any other charges you didn’t make, and ask to reverse those, too.
  • If you believe that someone may have accessed your personal or financial information, visit the FTC’s  i dentity theft website . You can minimize your risk of further damage and repair any problems already in place.
  • File a complaint with the FTC at  ftc.gov/complaint .

Tips to avoid similar scams

  • Don’t click on any links in an email or text you weren’t expecting:  Scammers often disguise malware attacks as emails that appear to be from a friend, helpful website or company you do business with. If you aren’t sure about it, delete the email and contact the friend or company directly. If you click on any link or attachment in an email you weren’t expecting, it could install malware on your device without you even realizing it until your bank account has been drained.
  • Don’t click on any links in a Facebook post from a source you don’t recognize: If it’s an offer for something free but requires you to like, share, click or do anything else to redeem the free offer —  don’t do it! It’s probably a scam.
  • If you receive an email claiming to be from your bank or other company that has your personal information, don’t click on any of the links:  Even if it looks official, it could still very easily be a scam. Instead, log in to your account separately to check for any new notices. You can also call the company about the information sent via email.
  • Research unknown sites before going to them directly:  When it comes to spotting potentially-dangerous websites, before you go to an unknown site, double-check the spelling of the web address/URL by first doing a search for it.
  • Run anti-virus software:  Frequently run  anti-virus protection programs on your devices to check for any malware that could be hiding in the background.

How To Buy Reviews

Looking to buy online reviews it’s easy (and cheap) to buy them for any review site you want to get more reviews on. but there’s some risk involved too. here we take a look at what’s on the line as well as some alternative options..

You can buy a real coyote skull, bacon-flavored floss and a coffin on Amazon, so suffice it to say you can buy pretty much anything these days.

Business owners or managers might want to order bulk office supplies, a “World’s Best Boss” mug, and maybe a few five-star reviews…

It’s remarkably easy to pay for reviews, and often quite tempting too, especially since even just a few positive reviews can have a big impact on business. But there are some risks involved – sometimes very big risks (we’ll get to that in just a minute).

Buying reviews is also totally unnecessary when getting positive reviews in an ethical way is just as easy (we’ll get to that in a minute too).

Why Buy Reviews?

The temptation to buy reviews is real. They’re a powerful tool for generating new business. Most consumers (almost all) consider online reviews when making buying decisions, and they take seriously what they read:

  • 85 percent of people trust online reviews as much as they trust recommendations from friends, according to a recent survey .
  • 49 percent said they need a business to have a rating of at least four stars before using it.
  • The average person wants a business to have 34 reviews in order to trust its rating.
  • 77 percent of people surveyed say that reviews that are more than three months old aren’t relevant.
  • 68% of people say that online reviews affect their purchasing decisions.

So what does that tell us? For one thing, businesses need to get a steady stream of positive reviews in order to keep the customers coming.

And those reviews really do directly translate to sales. One study of restaurants found that a one-star increase on Yelp translated to a 5-9% increase in revenue.

Your business needs positive reviews, and your actual customers might not be delivering at the rate you need. Paying someone to write fake reviews would be easy to arrange…

A Step-by-Step Guide to Buying Reviews

  • Don’t.
  • Repeat step 1.
  • Have some ice cream to celebrate doing the right (and smart ) thing!

Wait, That Didn’t Work!

Buying reviews just isn’t worth the risk because this practice can backfire spectacularly in one of several ways:

  • Review sites are very good at figuring out when reviews aren’t real , and they’re getting better at filtering out these reviews every day. Yelp, in particular, is known for its sensitive recommendation software, which is updated constantly and hides reviews that are flagged as potentially illegitimate. Google is beginning to follow the same path.
  • Consumers are also much more savvy than you think at determining when reviews are real or fake. Of course, many – maybe even most – people who read a fake review won’t realize it, but all it takes is one savvy reader to raise a flag. For instance, if one reader catches on and posts a message on Facebook talking about your shady, untrustworthy reviews and that post gets shared, your reputation will take a major hit.
  • Some of your paid reviewers might reveal the incentives or gifts they received for writing those positive reviews. If a customer scroll downs through your reviews and finds something like, “I loved their product. They just gave me a free hairdryer to write this review,” it could certainly mean curtains for your brand’s PR.
  • You’ll miss out on valuable feedback. Reviews are not just about building your business’s credibility or persuading customers to buy from you. One of the primary purposes of customer reviews is to get honest, unfiltered opinions about how your customers feel about your products or services. While some reviews may be harsh, this can serve as an opportunity for businesses to find out the shortcomings of their services and work on them. If your business has 100+ positive reviews online but your customers do not enjoy your service, not only will they never return, but they’ll also realize those reviews were fake.
  • Review sites take this subject seriously and may penalize businesses caught with fake reviews on their pages. Again, Yelp is the most on-the-ball about this. Under its Consumer Alerts program, Yelp posts a large pop-up message on the pages of businesses that have illegitimate reviews. The pop-up stays on the page for 90 days, alerting every customer who visits the page during that time that the business in question was caught with fake reviews.
  • It’s potentially illegal. Some businesses have faced hefty fines and other legal trouble because of soliciting fake reviews.

Watch out for what you do in today’s world – you don’t want to be labeled as the business that pays for fake or positive reviews.

Bad press like that will wipe away almost all of the positive impact that any previous genuine positive reviews might have had.

Basically, paying people to write fake reviews – or giving discounts or other perks to real customers in exchange for writing positive reviews – is a waste of money and an all-around headache.

The Better Way to Get Reviews

To recap: getting reviews is necessary, while buying reviews is bad. What’s a business to do?

It’s actually pretty simple . First, put your energy into earning positive reviews by emphasizing customer service and doing everything within your power to satisfy existing customers. Then use an automated system like ReputationStacker to get those customers to write authentic reviews.

The system them automatically contacts your customers with a one-question survey, identifying the satisfied customers and funneling them to the review site of your choice. Dissatisfied customers are funneled back to you, giving you a chance to follow up with them and address their concerns.

Many customers who are pleased with your service will be willing to review you, provided it’s easy for them to do. ReputationStacker removes all the hurdles and makes it easy to get a steady stream of positive reviews posted on sites like Yelp, Facebook and Google.

Other Ways to Get Reviews Organically

1. simplify the process.

Hardly anyone these days has the time for things that don’t directly benefit them; the same goes for reviews. So, try and keep the review process as simple as possible.

No unnecessary registrations, no multiple site visits – just have a simple link to your preferred review site or add clickable rating stars in your emails. If you have an app, it’s best to have a pop-up reminder urging your customers to leave a review.

2. Reply to Every Review

Many customers won’t bother leaving a review if they see that previous comments or questions addressed to you remain unanswered. Responding to reviews does two things:

(1) Encourages your customers to leave a review.

(2) Sends out the message that you actually care about your customers, especially the dissatisfied ones.

So, next time, instead of ignoring negative feedback, reach out to the customer and help them out.

3. Host Giveaways

Just because you can’t buy reviews doesn’t mean you can’t invest some money into getting organic reviews. Giveaways are a great way to rake in genuine feedback with minimal investment.

Select any product or service of your choice and ask the participants to leave a review in return for the free product, service, or discount.

NOTE: Make it clear that you’re offering the giveaway to anyone who leaves a review, regardless of whether the review is positive or negative.

(Don’t) Show Me the Money

Buying fake reviews is a waste of money and time in the best of circumstances. If fake reviews are discovered by site administrators or your customers, the fallout can be devastating.

Put your efforts into earning positive reviews and let ReputationStacker do the heavy lifting of getting your customers to post those reviews on major sites.

As things got digital, people started selling products online. Regardless of the requirements, there are plenty of online platforms today where you can buy and sell stuff. But did you know Facebook is one of them?

Facebook launched its dedicated Marketplace in 2015, enabling users to buy and sell things online. The question that arises here is whether this feature is worth it. Here, we’ll discuss if you should use Facebook Marketplace as a medium for online purchases.

Pros of Using Facebook Marketplace

Here is a list of perks you get by listing items on Facebook Marketplace:

1. Simplified Buying and Selling

Buy things on Facebook Marketplace

To sell a product, take pictures of the item and upload them using a mobile, computer, or tablet. Pick the most attractive photos to give your page a boost. Add an accurate description of the product along with the location and price. You can also share it among other groups and profiles.

If you want to buy a product, search for it using type, category, and price range. There is also an option to look for all the available items for sale in a particular location. Facebook Marketplace also suggests different products based on recent searches and your interests on the platform. This algorithm helps users stay connected and browse the app for better engagement.

If you master the tips of buying and selling on Marketplace , it can help you make quick money.

2. Nearby Suggestions

When you sign up for Facebook, it requests access to your current location. The social networking giant insists on turning on your location to create personalized content and suggestions relevant to your area. Marketplace works under the same strategy.

It will suggest products within your vicinity, so making a genuine deal is easy. There is also an option to browse and look for stuff that might not be in your area but is desirable.

3. Simple User Interface

The most popular advantage of using Facebook Marketplace is its ease of use. We all know how to use the app generally. The Marketplace has the same simple format with some tweaks to add products. You don't need to browse through the complicated setup options like those in other apps. Over the years, it has become easier to scroll around and navigate.

Facebook Marketplace

To open Facebook Marketplace, follow these simple instructions:

  • Tap the Marketplace option at the top of your screen (or bottom if you're on an iPhone). It will open the list of products around your location.
  • Browse the different categories to find something of interest.
  • Tap on the Profile icon on the top-right of the screen to open your Marketplace profile. You can add different sizes, locations, saved items, and other options necessary for buying and selling.
  • Tap on the Search button to look for different things. There are several categories to choose from. Recent shows the most popular categories, whereas Saved Searches will list all the searches you've saved.

4. No Hidden Fees

One of the pet peeves that most sellers talk about is paying a security deposit or commission to the app, enabling you to display the product. This might work well if the product is already expensive or in high demand. However, hidden charges and commissions might not be feasible for basic items.

Fortunately, there are no hidden charges or extra fees for users selling their goods on Facebook Marketplace. Just make sure the products fit the guidelines set by Facebook, and you are good to go.

5. You Decide the Shipping Charges

Buyers pay shipping charges on most online buying and selling platforms. This can be quite a hassle enabling many people to skip your products. Facebook Marketplace brings a new dimension to this traditional custom by allowing the seller to decide who pays the shipping charges.

You can incorporate them within the product's price or let the buyer know what else is needed from them. An honest interaction encourages buyers and sellers to develop good relations.

6. Buyers Can Set Price Limits

The temptation to purchase expensive things is real, but not everyone has the budget to accomplish it. On Facebook Marketplace, buyers can set price limits so that it only displays product listings that fall within their budgets.

This is a suitable way to find something without going overboard with expenses. Many people believe that any store or platform providing a price limit option is ideal for making a worthwhile purchase.

Cons of Facebook Marketplace

Like any other app, Facebook Marketplace also has limitations that Meta, the parent company, is working to remove.

1. Unsafe Meetups

Buyer seller meetup

People you sell your products to might request meet-ups at random places. For experienced users, this might be a noticeable red light.

However, if you are new to the app and unaware of Facebook Marketplace scams , there might be a possibility of getting robbed or threatened.

2. No Digital Store

This feature allows buyers to sell random items on Facebook Marketplace. Unlike popular buying and selling apps, you cannot create a brand of your own .

The inexistence of a store means no seller identity, which might decrease your sales and be a deal-breaker if you plan to sell items long-term on the platform.

3. No Buyer Protection

When people spend money, they expect a good quality product. Unlike eBay Buyer Protection, there is no guarantee what users get will be as promised. You can examine the product physically, but Facebook does not make any guarantees.

4. Getting Recognized Is Difficult

Getting recognition on Facebook with adequate engagement is pretty tricky. You need to give yourself the time to get noticed. It is essential to use relevant keywords and post at an ideal time to get recognition for your products.

5. No Storage Space

Storage facility

There is no proper storage space given to sellers for their items. Buyers and sellers are responsible for sending/receiving packages at their own convenience and risk.

Facebook does not offer a warehouse to maintain orders. So, if there is a delay in your order, or you did not receive what was promised, Facebook does not take any responsibility.

Buy & Sell on Facebook Marketplace Effectively

Facebook Marketplace is a feature that allows people worldwide to buy and sell goods. It is pretty easy to use and does not require any hidden charges. Unfortunately, the platform does not offer any guarantee or product security.

However, we believe that with certain tweaks and changes, Facebook Marketplace can become a safe and valuable platform for people around the globe. When buying from Marketplace, always look at the seller’s background and request as many product details as possible to avoid scams.

How to request a review on Facebook Marketplace

Facebook Marketplace is a great place to sell items for your business or resell items on a personal level. Facebook Marketplace includes a review function that allows buyers to rate their experiences with sellers.

Buyers can rate sellers as well as answer a few questions about the experience. If you’re selling items often through Facebook Marketplace , a high rating will help give consumers confidence in your items.

So what do you do if you aren’t getting ratings or your star rating is a bit low? Let’s look at ways to remedy the situation and get you in front of the right customer.

Free Guide: 10 Tips To Get More Customers From Facebook

What are facebook marketplace reviews.

After every item is sold on Facebook, the social media platform asks the buyer to rate the seller. However, this may occur right after the sale or whenever the buyer returns to Facebook. This can leave quite a bit of time between the transaction and may result in no review.

Marketplace reviews help users identify legitimate sellers and avoid scams . The five-star rating system asks buyers to rate the seller from one to five stars. These results are then averaged to display an overall rating to potential customers. Just like the Facebook reviews on your business profile, your seller rating is just as important.

How do you leave a seller review on Facebook Marketplace ?

Following a purchase on Facebook Marketplace , buyers will receive a notification to rate the seller after the seller marks the item as sold and identifies the buyer. This prompt is based on the seller completing the sale and notifying Facebook Marketplace that the item was sold. These steps are easy to do on your iPhone , Android or other mobile device.

Buyers can also rate sellers after they’ve purchased an item or had a conversation with them on Facebook Messenger . The “Rate this Seller” option will appear in Messenger .

Should you request reviews from buyers on Facebook Marketplace ?

If you’re looking for more reviews on Facebook Marketplace , you can easily ask buyers to leave you a review after the transaction is finished. Many consumers are more likely to leave a review after being prompted, so if you want to increase the number of reviews coming in, just ask!

Reviews are an important part of any business, and getting in the habit of asking for reviews is good. Your potential customers care about your ratings and reviews, even if you are a brick-and-mortar store or someone selling on Facebook Marketplace . These insights give potential buyers a glimpse into how you run your business.

Facebook marketplace is a great place for e-commerce businesses, and having a high ranking with each Marketplace listing can help you sell more products.

Following a transaction, you can send customers a quick message asking for a review. Your message to customers can be as simple as, “Thank you so much for supporting our business. We’d appreciate a review on how we did.” This can all be done directly through the Facebook mobile app and should become a habit after every transaction.

Marketplace users should be accustomed to leaving a review for buyers after a transaction, so don’t be afraid to ask when using the selling platform . Since the request for a review will come from Messenger , Facebook users should see the notification in their profile quickly.

Similar to Facebook business reviews, you cannot remove a negative review from your rating or profile.

Benefits of using Facebook Marketplace for small businesses

Facebook Marketplace is great for selling items if you’re a small business. With almost 3 billion users , Facebook spreads a wide net for you to find the right buyer. Facebook has also invested in its Marketplace platform, which makes things easier for buyers and sellers. While other platforms, such as Craigslist or a local classifieds site may also work, Facebook can show your Marketplace listing to more people.

Online marketplaces operate differently, and some may not even have a review and rating opportunity. However, consumers appreciate the ability to leave a rating and review, and they are likely to do so with a little encouragement from the seller.

Manage your online reputation with Broadly

Your online reputation includes many different factors, and if you’re selling items on Facebook Marketplace , your ratings and reviews on that platform are an important part of digital marketing . Even if you’re using eBay , Craigslist or another site, you want to ensure that your customers are satisfied.

Facebook Marketplace: What You Should Know

Here's how the new buying-and-selling service stacks up to ebay and craigslist, sharing is nice.

We respect your privacy . All email addresses you provide will be used just for sending this story.

Earlier this week, Facebook unveiled a new service called Marketplace, which lets users buy and sell stuff to others in its network. It's not an original idea: eBay, Craigslist, and Amazon have been offering similar services for years. In fact, Facebook launched an ill-fated sales feature under the very same name back in 2007. But for those with unwanted vinyl records or a Microsoft Zune media player, Facebook Marketplace is yet another place to shop their wares.

What Is It?

Marketplace allows Facebook users, 18 years old and up, to post pictures of their garage sale items and collectibles and browse items offered by nearby sellers as well. The sellers set the price, but would-be buyers are welcome to counter with another offer.

The feature began rolling out slowly to Facebook's mobile app users in the U.S., U.K., Australia, and New Zealand, with a desktop version and other locations to follow in the coming months. Right now, users can find stuff like a factory-unlocked iPhone 6 for about $350 and a lot of vintage cameras for $20. The search results can be filtered by product category and the proximity of the items (anywhere from two to 100 miles away).

iPhone users will find the Marketplace icon inside the Facebook app, at the bottom of their screen between the Groups and Notifications icons, where the Messenger shortcut used to be. (That now sits on the top-left corner beside the search bar.) Those on Android phones will find the icon near the top of the app, with Messenger on the right-hand side of the search bar.

Have you tried Facebook Marketplace?

Let us know in the comments section below.

Why Should I Use It?

With more than a billion monthly active users, Facebook is an inviting place to offload unwanted goods. In fact, lots of people have been using the social media network's Groups function to create mini marketplaces in recent years.

"More than 450 million people visit buy-and-sell groups each month—from families in a local neighborhood to collectors around the world," wrote Mary Ku, Facebook's director of product management, in a blog post explaining the new service . By comparison, in the second quarter of this year, eBay boasted 164 million active users, according to the data analysis company Statista.

As many as 100 million active iOS and Android app users will soon have Marketplace baked into their Facebook app. And the average user spends 50 minutes or more every day on the app.

What's more, the buying experience appears to be quite seamless. I found it easy to narrow down search parameters and the means for contacting sellers through Messenger is pretty intuitive. The Craigslist app also handles search pretty well, but the Contact button simply steers the user to a web version of the listing and leaves it up to the user to find the relevant information.

Selling was also pretty easy on Facebook Marketplace. Creating a listing and importing the image took less than a minute. And the Your Items tab makes organizing and managing your listings and queries to and from buyers relatively pain-free.

And, after  a few embarrassing hiccups on the first day of operation, Marketplace's administrators seem to have cracked down on violations of Facebook's commerce policy , which prohibits the sale of prescription and recreational drugs, weapons, animals, alcohol, and explosives. As of Friday afternoon, I could not find any illicit items on sale.

In an official statement, Ku says Facebook "addressed the technical issue that caused this problem" and is "closely monitoring our systems to ensure violations are properly identified and removed as we gradually expand access to Marketplace."

What Else Do I Need to Know?

One of the service's chief selling points—at least compared to Craigslist—is that it sheds more light on both parties in a transaction, potentially cutting down on shady dealings.

"Marketplace adds immense transparency and credibility," says Rachael Powell, senior director of social media at the digital marketing agency Elasticity. "Facebook's innate social connectivity adds a layer of credibility when you're considering whether to purchase from a user."

Unlike on Craiglist, where the sellers are largely anonymous, Marketplace will supply you with information that lets you know who you're interacting with. It displays the location of buyers and sellers and users' public Facebook profiles and cover photos. You will also see if you have friends in common.

And, while not a guaranteed safety measure, knowing the amount of time the seller has been a Facebook user could help buyers weed out potential scammers. Just keep in mind that not everyone on Facebook uses their legal name or a legit profile picture.

It's also worth nothing that, unlike on eBay and Amazon (which mostly deals with new products), Marketplace charges no listing fees or taxes. However, it also doesn't offer the protection afforded by those two companies if, say, a product is defective or vastly different than described in the listing. Amazon and eBay provide return policies, while Facebook and Craigslist do not.

Marketplace operates a lot like a classified ads page: It simply lists items and leaves the buyers and sellers to negotiate the sales. The exchange of money and goods is left entirely to the two parties, much like on Craigslist.

And Marketplace doesn't have a feedback system like eBay and Amazon that allows buyers and sellers to rate their transactions. Instead, users must report suspicious or illegal activity to Facebook.

The company now offers its own kitchen display hardware and software, albeit at a steeper price than many of its competitors. • What is a restaurant POS system?

A restaurant POS system has features designed specifically for food-service businesses. These can include helping employees:

Accept various forms of payment.

Keep track of inventory.

Take orders and send them to the kitchen.

Clock in and out.

Manage table layouts.

Maintain menus.

Restaurant POS system providers commonly offer hardware (usually a terminal, card reader, cash drawer and receipt printer), software and payment processing services under the same umbrella, making them a one-stop shop. However, some providers, like Clover, let you use third-party payment processors. Working with a separate payment processor isn’t the most convenient option, but it could help you save on credit card processing fees . Many restaurant POS systems are also compatible with third-party hardware accessories, like receipt printers and barcode scanners.

What is a POS system?

  • How much does a restaurant POS system cost?

When you’re estimating the cost of a restaurant POS system, factor in hardware, software and payment processing. Here are more details about each.

Expect to pay around $800 to $1,700 upfront for a countertop register setup that includes a POS terminal , card reader , receipt printer and cash drawer. Other restaurant hardware accessories could include a kitchen display system or handheld terminal for taking orders tableside. Taxes, delivery and potential setup and training fees can get pricey too, so make sure you understand what additional costs are associated with a product before you sign a contract.

Some software plans are free while others cost around $60 or $70 per month on the lower end. Most companies charge extra fees per additional terminal, too.

Consider whether you’ll need integrations such as advanced inventory management, vendor management or online ordering. These will further increase your monthly cost. And don’t forget to factor in the cost of add-ons, like delivery services and online ordering. Some providers include these services in their plans, but others charge extra for them.

Payment processing fees vary, but try to avoid monthly PCI compliance fees and high chargeback fees (those over $25 per dispute). In general, the flat-rate processing services that come with POS systems from companies like Square and Toast will be the most convenient options, but not necessarily the most cost-efficient.

Interchange-plus processors, on the other hand, pass savings to the merchants when customers use cards with low interchange fees , and their markups may be more negotiable. However, you’ll need to select a restaurant POS system that allows you to work with outside processors to access that option.

  • Restaurant POS system features

Making a list of must-have features can help you narrow down your list of potential restaurant POS systems. Here are some main capabilities to consider.

Reporting: Strong reporting features are a must. Look for actual versus theoretical cost reports on food and labor to find opportunities for improving margins. Ideally you should be able to run reports on your restaurant’s different sales channels to see how each channel is performing. This can tell you which dishes are selling best in house versus takeout, for example.

Menu and inventory management: A restaurant POS system should allow you to customize the menu, track inventory and note modifications, special offers and sold-out items.

Recipe costing: To appropriately price your menu items, it’s important to calculate how much each recipe costs to make.

Employee management and access: A good system allows you to set up employee access and permissions, schedule shifts, let employees clock in and out and split tips.

Customer loyalty programs: These programs help you collect customers’ contact information and award them points and/or discounts to motivate them to return. This is especially common for cafes and coffee shops. Some loyalty programs automatically send out targeted promotions, too.

Online ordering: Instead of calling in an order for pickup, some customers prefer to order online, pay in advance and schedule a pickup time. Most restaurant POS systems include online ordering capabilities in higher-tier plans or offer them as an add-on.

Delivery services: If you’d like to offer delivery as an option for customers, your restaurant POS system should offer its own in-house services (typically as an add-on) or integrate with third-party services, like DoorDash.

  • How to choose a restaurant POS system

Take into account the following factors to choose the best restaurant POS system for your business:

Before purchasing restaurant POS hardware and subscribing to a software plan, make sure to test out the system’s user interface by requesting a demo or searching for videos online. Above all, the system should be easy for your employees to navigate — they should be able to alter menu items and prices as needed, clock in and out and add special notes to orders for the kitchen. Scrolling through user reviews of a particular restaurant POS system can also help you identify potential pain points ahead of time.

Hardware costs and setup fees are typically paid upfront, but some restaurant POS system providers allow you to pay off your purchase in monthly installments. On top of hardware pricing, estimate your monthly software subscription costs and payment processing fees to make sure they’ll fit within your budget in the short and long term.

The best restaurant POS system will allow you to streamline your front-of-house operations with features like tableside ordering, floor plan management, employee management and the ability to split tables’ tabs.

Common back-of-house features include in-depth reporting, ingredient tracking, inventory management and recipe costing. Since restaurants carry perishable inventory, it’s important to take food waste into account and make sure your menu prioritizes recipes that have high margins.

Many restaurant POS systems allow you to connect to additional internal or third-party tools, such as online ordering apps, email marketing software and payroll services. Accounting integrations are especially important, so that you don’t have to manually enter sales data into your restaurant accounting software and risk making an error.

Consider the type of support offered, as well as the days and times it’s available. Some restaurant POS system providers have phone, chat and email support, in addition to implementation and training services. If your restaurant is open late at night, go with a product that offers 24/7 live support.

Lendlease sells $320m u.s. military housing business omaha beach investment.

by Released

Lendlease has entered into an agreement with Omaha Beach Investment Holdings, an entity managed by Guggenheim Partners Investment Management, for the sale of its U.S. military housing business for A$480 million ($320 million).

The sale represents a significant premium to book value and includes the operating platform of the business along with the associated management rights for asset, property, development and construction management. Approximately 150 employees will transfer with the sale.

The transaction builds on the significant progress made by Lendlease as it executes on the strategy announced in May 2024, refocusing on its Australian operations and international investment management capabilities while recycling more than A$4.5 billion ($3.0 billion) of capital.

How to buy Taylor Swift tickets: Eras Tour dates and prices compared

When you buy through our links, Business Insider may earn an affiliate commission. Learn more

Taylor Swift's reign continues with the latest leg of The Eras Tour. The singer-songwriter kicked off the European portion of her world tour in Paris in May, which will continue throughout the summer. From there, she'll return to North America to tour Canada and a few remaining US cities in the fall. If you're hoping to attend, we've compiled all of the details of The Eras Tour, including how to get Taylor Swift tour tickets.

Swift's Eras Tour has taken the world by storm since March 2023. The three-plus-hour tour features hits from each of Swift's album eras, from "Lover" to her Grammy Award-winning "Midnights." Each show also features surprise songs and occasional guests, so fans never quite know what they're in for. Swift released her latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," in April, so the Swiftie hype will continue through the summer.

Getting tickets has become its own battle and many fans have waited hours in the Ticketmaster queue to hopefully snag some seats, if they could get a presale ticket code in the first place. While Swift continues to extend the tour, including new US dates, tickets remain hard to come by.

Below, we've put together a guide on everything to know about The Eras Tour, including the tour schedule, ticket purchasing details, resale ticket prices, and the concert film streaming options. You can also peruse resale vendors like StubHub and Vivid Seats at your leisure.

Taylor Swift international tour dates

The Eras Tour international dates resumed on May 9 in Paris. The European tour will run until August 20 in London. UK prices are listed in pounds, and start times vary from city to city. Multiple shows have age restrictions for younger kids and specifics on seating and adult accompaniment. A few venues check that a ticketholder's ID matches the name on the tickets. US dates start in October and can be found under the following table.

How to buy tickets for Taylor Swift's 2024 tour

Original standard tickets for Taylor Swift's 2024 sold out long ago for both international and domestic dates. All US tickets and many international tickets were sold through Ticketmaster , although select international locations used different services.

Tickets for most dates are available on resale websites like StubHub and Vivid Seats . These are generally higher-priced than the originals, which are no longer available. Keep in mind that some countries have rules regarding reselling tickets.

On StubHub, UK tour dates come with a note that ticket terms don't permit resale through unauthorized channels and might not be valid for entry. If this ends up being the case, StubHub notes that its FanProtect Guarantee will cover purchasers.

How much are Taylor Swift tickets?

Ticket prices vary by date and location. International resale tickets tend to be a bit cheaper than US resale tickets. It's worth noting that some of the cheapest tickets have restricted views.

StubHub's cheapest European tickets ranged from $239 (Amsterdam, Netherlands on July 4) to £1,279 (London, England on August 19). The latter is around $1,616 in USD. The lowest prices for most shows are around $250 to $1,200. On Vivid Seats , the cheapest tickets for these dates go for $491 and $1,172, respectively.

When it comes to North American shows, the cheapest StubHub tickets range from $1,613 (Vancouver, Canada, on December 6) to $2,602 (Indianapolis, Indiana on November 2). Most of the cheapest tickets are priced between $1,600 and $2,300. On Vivid Seats, the cheapest Taylor Swift tickets on these dates start at $1,527 and $2,451, respectively. The two resale vendors generally have similarly priced offerings, but this varies from show to show.

Who is opening for Taylor Swift's tour?

Taylor Swift has a variety of opening acts, from up-and-coming singers to established groups. Opening acts vary by date. For the European leg of the tour, Paramore is opening for Swift. In the US and Canada, Gracie Abrams will be the opening act. Earlier in the tour, Swift had Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, MUNA, HAIM, and more open for her.

Will Taylor Swift add more dates to the Eras Tour?

Taylor Swift has already added additional stops to her tour due to popular demand, including her US tour dates this fall. She also added additional dates to some of her European city stops, including bonus performances in France and the United Kingdom, among other locations.

During her 100th show, a mid-June performance in Liverpool, Swift acknowledged that the tour would conclude in December. "The celebration of the 100th show for me means this is the very first time I've ever acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December," Swift told the crowd in a moment that was widely captured and posted across social media. This statement means that the Eras Tour is unlikely to extend past 2024, but we'll keep this guide updated if Swift announces any changes (or additions) to her tour lineup.

Will The Tortured Poets Department be a part of the Eras Tour?

It's good news for fans of "The Tortured Poets Department," Swift's new album that dropped on April 19, 2024. Swift is incorporating several of the new tracks into the Eras Tour, as evidenced by the first shows of her European leg. "The Tortured Poets Department" songs currently featured on tour include "But Daddy I Love Him," "So High School," "Down Bad," "Fortnight," "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?," "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived," and "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart."

Since the Eras Tour is already pretty long, this means that Swift is also cutting down a few songs from past Eras that previously made the tour setlist. The songs that were removed from the setlist include "The Archer," "Long Live," "The 1," "The Last Great American Dynasty," "'Tis the Damn Season," and "Tolerate It."

Where can I stream The Eras Tour concert film?

If you'd rather watch The Eras Tour from home, you could always stream it on Disney+. Check out everything you need to know about streaming The Eras Tour concert film in our guide .

Note: Certain services and regions prohibit the resale of tickets. Business Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal reselling of tickets, and entry into an event is at the venue's discretion.

In setback, Steward and Optum walk away from deal for physician network

Good Samaritan Medical Center, a Steward hospital in Brockton, Mass. (Robin Lubbock/WBUR)

The proposed sale of struggling Steward Health Care's physician network, Stewardship Health, to a sister company of the insurer United HealthCare is off, raising still more questions about the company's efforts to bring its finances under control through bankruptcy .

OptumCare, a national for-profit owner of tens of thousands of physician groups , and Steward told state regulators they have decided not to move forward with a deal. Steward cited a "challenging" review process at the federal Department of Justice but said it continues to seek other buyers.

"Stewardship Health remains a valuable asset that provides excellent care for its patients; there are multiple other parties that remain interested in acquiring the business and Steward is in active negotiations," the company told WBUR in a written statement.

Steward filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May and is scheduled to auction off the doctors' group this month. But the company has already delayed the sale by several weeks and also delayed auctions for its hospitals in Massachusetts and some other states.

While Steward obtained loans to keep its hospitals open during the bankruptcy process, some of its financing depends on the sale of the doctors' group. It is unclear what will happen if the company is unsuccessful in its efforts to sell Stewardship, which represents doctors in nine states, including Massachusetts.

Earlier this year, Steward notified the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission that it had reached an agreement to sell Stewardship Health to OptumCare. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The sale was part of a broader effort by Steward, a Dallas-based, private hospital network, to avoid bankruptcy. The for-profit chain announced in February that it had obtained a bridge loan and would try to sell its physician network.

The announcement came after public disclosures that Steward owes millions of dollars in back rent to the real estate investment company Medical Properties Trust, which owns Steward's hospital real estate. Steward operates more than 30 hospitals in eight states.

Massachusetts officials have been monitoring Steward's hospitals to preserve patients' access to health care and avoid the sudden closure of any medical centers. In March, Steward closed a facility in Massachusetts and has closed or sold hospitals in other states in recent years.

Several state and federal lawmakers had questioned the proposal to sell Steward's physician group to Optum, and wondered whether the deal could be structured to help Steward's eight Massachusetts hospitals. During a congressional field hearing in Boston in April, U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat, noted Optum already employs more than 50,000 doctors in Massachusetts which, she said, should be a concern to regulators.

"The net result [ of a deal ] could be a disaster," Warren said at the hearing. "Optum isn't offering to pay hundreds of millions of dollars so that they can make health care better in Massachusetts. This is all about making more money, and Optum has run this same play in other states."

Warren accused Optum of boosting profits by over-billing Medicare and "cutting care for the patients who need it most.

"I do not understand how regulators can approve such a deal," she said at the time.
