ISEP Benefits • Access to 38 universities in 25 countries, without the obligation of individual agreements • Students are fully integrated into the host culture abroad • Cost effective for students • ISEP Coordinators at all institutions • Network and professional development

US Student Profile • 95% went for a semester or longer • Average GPA is 3.5; one-third have a GPA of 3.75 or higher • 54% receive federal grants or loans • Majors from a wide range of academic fields • Usually in their third year of studies
ISEP Options • Affordable options with ISEP-Direct • Semester or year-long; some summer • Diverse settings and institutions • Course offerings in most fields of study • Undergraduate and Graduate available • ISEP-Exchange not available
ISEP-Direct • Students directly enrolled into the local university at most sites • Many offer a language and culture option • Students pay a program fee which covers tuition, room, board or a variation thereof • Students very likely to be placed if academic requirements are met
Placement Process • Students use ISEP website and brochures to research sites available • Home institution advises, selects, and nominates students • ISEP Central reviews application and makes placement based on space available and appropriate academic fit • Host institution confirms and sends welcome materials to students • Predeparture and on-site orientations
Placement Process • Priority Deadlines: • February 1 for Fall/Full Year • September 1 for Spring • Continue to accept applications throughout semester • Shouldn’t apply early • Excellent chance of placement if 2.75 GPA and language/academic requirements are met
Faculty Involvement • Help advise outgoing students • Application and course selection • Recommendations • Pre-approve courses • Course approval upon return
