In this paper, it deals with the design of an auditorium for the accommodation of 1000 persons. The shape of the auditorium is rectangular. The dimension of the auditorium is 41.46 x 57.23 m.
The decision to covert the hall into a multipurpose auditorium with variable acoustics arose when, alongside the various uses, the request to host a large classical music festival was accepted. The places dedicated to the listening of music are usually prestigious places, whose acoustic response responds to certain peculiar characteristics.
The consultancy work considers four important acoustic design issues for auditoria: volume and seats; control of reverberation time (RT); diffusion of sound; elimination of defects. Odeon 5.0 was used to simulate the reverberation time and sound propagation and diffusion.
