College Management System : A Technical Paper
2023, International Journal of Scientific Research in Science and Technology
College management systems play a critical role in managing the daily operations of educational institutions. With the advent of web-based systems, the management of colleges has become more efficient and effective. This survey paper provides a comprehensive overview of college management systems developed using PHP, a widely-used server-side scripting language. The paper presents an analysis of ten recent IEEE reference papers and a base paper on college management systems using PHP. This survey paper examines the different approaches, methodologies, and contributions of these papers, and identifies the factors that make an ideal college management system.

This is an information system application called Electronic-College Management and Information System (ECMIS) which is useful for staff, faculty, and principal to deal with all information about student details, academic related reports, college details, course details, batch details and other related details. This is user friendly and easy to use system. All the important data are stored in the database and it avoids any miscalculation. It replaces the old and traditional file (paperwork) storing process; it even provides editing facilities for data which would be tedious through paperwork. It eliminates manual work (Manual system does not mean that we are working with pen and paper, it also includes working on spreadsheets and other simple software's). With this we can retrieve student‘s information instantly. The major benefit of this web portal is to store the student‘s information in one place and can be accessed easily. This is a software application which is responsive in nature.

College Management system is Salesforce CRM based application which is the new technical way to manage all department related jobs. Collage management system is helpful for students as well as the colleges. In the existing system all the activities are done manually. It is very costly and time consuming. In our proposed system, students can view results using phones. The data will be stored in the Salesforce. The Admin, Faculty or the student should be a register user. The faculty can login into their college account through the application itself and update the academic result like internal exam marks obtained by the students. In this system students have easy access for viewing the marks; the application will check user authentications. Students are not permitted to manipulate any data. The proposed work has two modules: A. Student B. Teacher C. Admin. In the student’s module, students need to register their university registration number, college registration number, student name...

The purpose of this project is to develop a college management system in Java that helps in automating various administrative and academic tasks in a college or university. The system provides an efficient and user-friendly interface for students, teachers, and administrators to access and manage information such as student records, course schedules, and grades. The project was developed using Java, with a focus on robustness, scalability, and security. The system was tested and implemented in a simulated college environment, and the results showed that it effectively addresses the need for a centralized and streamlined college management system. The project provides a solid foundation for future improvements and offers a useful tool for colleges and universities looking to improve their management processes.

In recent digital era, as electronic systems empower the fast creation and circulation of documents, hence, individuals supplant paper documents with electronic ones. In the academic domain, electronic documents as data sources have expanded in number; and thus, recovering the data among an enormous number of documents has become an issue. College management system can help to develop the proficiency and adequacy of this system. It can further enhance the sharing of information between students and get groundbreaking thought from other investigations which can result in the creation of a smart education system. WonderVersity is an Android application which we have designed in this perspective. This application gives a common and simple platform dedicated to college-going students, in order to foster a superior communication between them, the faculty members, and the other administrative staff. By doing so, our project allows to offer special and supportive elements of raising appropriate queries, where students can post their inquiries and any connected member can respond to them. Besides, through an online management system, every faculty member could benefit from an assistance choice which helps him in finding any data with respect to classes, faculties, and webinars. WonderVersity additionally makes a stage where students can get regular updates of their participation prospectus and time table. It is also important to mention that the WonderVersity application works fluidly as it depends on a web-based data set framework called firebase. Overall, it is able to find out every element that is required to tackle the essential issues of college students.
