In this brainpop video Moby is writing a five-paragraph essay on why kids should have a longer school year, and first of all he starts with a "hook" which is where you try to get your reader interested in what you're writing about. Me personally like that we get out of school in late may, but a good hook would be: Students should have a longer school year because it can help students remember more and even teach them an important lesson that this is how it's going to be in college, long school year. And most colleges you have to be in college for at least 4 years!
