Partner review: Hansika scores the brownie points in this light-hearted entertainer

Aadhi Pinnisetty and Yogi Babu combine well, in the beginning, to keep the film engaging and entertaining.

Director Manoj Damodharan seems to have made his film Partner , a simple comedy, with the sole ambition of entertaining the masses.

The movie revolves around two friends — Sridhar (Aadhi Pinisetty) and Kalyan (Yogi Babu). It is a simple light-hearted entertainer, that doesn’t pay too much attention to logic and has no message whatsoever to offer audiences.

An entrepreneur, Sridhar suffers huge losses in his shrimp farming business. He comes to the city to meet his friend Kalyan.

Kalyan works in a firm that looks like an IT office but, in reality, is basically a bunch of thieves, fraudsters and scamsters working together to cheat gullible people.

Sridhar’s sudden trip is out of desperation. He has to arrange a huge sum of money which he takes as a loan for his business from a financier. The financier demands that either Sridhar pay him back or give the hand of his sister in marriage to him.

A scientist and an experiment.

In another part of the same city, there lives a scientist (Pandiarajan) who carries out research on animals. His research enables him to find a method through which the traits and behaviours of one animal can be transferred to another.

Looking to steal this finding and make a fortune by selling it in the international market is John Vijay (John Vijay), a former associate of the scientist.

John Vijay, a rich businessman now, employs three simpletons — Robo Shankar (Samadhanam), Thangadurai (Annadhanam), and Augustin (BlackBerry) — to steal the chip vital for the transfer.

They fail in their mission. As a result, John Vijay approaches Kalyan’s firm to complete the task.

Sridhar, who is in desperate need of money to stop his sister’s forced wedding, sees this as an opportunity to make money and convinces Kalyan to join him in this effort.

However, things get out of hand when both friends try to steal the formula. A series of unexpected developments occur and Kalyan gets accidentally turned into a woman (Hansika). What happens then is what Partner is all about.

Funny in parts .

When all that a film has to offer is comedy, one can do nothing but just smile and while away time. However, even for this to happen, most jokes in the film must work.

To director Manoj Damodharan’s credit, he creates a number of situations in the plot that provide enough scope for comedians to deliver genuinely funny jokes.

Sadly though, not all comedians make good use of the opportunities that come their way. While some jokes work, others don’t.

However, as the story progresses, the responsibility of providing the laughs falls heavily on the shoulders of actress Hansika who does a reasonably good job.

The portions where Yogi Babu turns into Hansika are quite interesting with Hansika having to reproduce Yogi Babu’s body language.

To her credit, Hansika does a fine job in several sequences and to some degree, succeeds in her mission.

Ravi Mariya as Agni Kunju and Robo Shankar as Samadhanam also provide entertainment. However, despite their best efforts the film doesn’t impress.

Partner is meant for those who wish to watch a film that doesn’t look to preach and has a few laughs to offer.

According to Aadhi Pinisetty, shooting for his upcoming comedy film Partner felt like being on vacation. He reveals that the upbeat mood of the film’s shoot was a refreshing change from the stressful atmosphere usually found in film sets.

“Since it is a comedy with a large ensemble cast, the mood on the sets was light-hearted. At first, I asked director Manoj Damodharan a lot of questions about the emotional state and behaviour of my character before each scene. But by the third day, I realised that the goal was not to prepare but to create fun moments on screen with the others. To discover that there was no major prep involved, unlike my previous films, was new for me. However, I soon eased into this style of working and started enjoying it,” says Aadhi.

Several fun incidents happened even between shoots. On one occasion, a sequence had to be shot in a large, multi-storeyed corporate office complex. “One office floor had been assigned to us for shooting. Once the shot was ready, I headed to that office on a particular floor. As I walked in, I noticed how wonderfully realistic the set looked. I admired the way everyone was working so earnestly at their computers.” But when everyone started staring at him, Aadhi realised something was amiss.

“Someone came up and asked me who I wanted to meet. By then I realised I had walked into a real office, on the wrong floor. When I explained, they all laughed. We had a brief chat and many came up and took selfies. After that, I went to the correct floor where the shoot was scheduled. It was a fun mix-up moment.” Due to the large ensemble cast, the actors who were not shooting for a particular scene had lots of time to chill out on sets. “If it was a serious film, between shots we would be in the mood of our character, learning lines or thinking about our performance.

But on the Partner sets, we all wanted to be in the mood of the film, so that the camaraderie would translate onto the screen. So, one activity we all did in abundance, was playing games. From Uno Flip and Ludo to Table Tennis and Ping Pong we played it all. We even improvised and invented our own games with disposable cups and had prizes for the winner.”

One time, Aadhi, Hansika Motwani and Pallak Lalwani had to shoot an intense scene in a small room. “Everyone had a continuous exchange of dialogues. It was a very noisy scene. The director was in another room with the monitor. Hansika and Pallak were taking the prompting and shouting their lines. After a while, I realised something was wrong. The room was small and the prompters had hardly any space on the sides. So, amidst all the commotion, they interchanged their dialogues by mistake. So, Hansika had picked up Pallak’s dialogues and Pallak was reciting Hansika’s lines. When the director too noticed, we all had a good laugh.”

Another time, Aadhi had to drive a bike with a Contessa car following him. “The shoot was in a maze of small lanes on the ECR. After several turns, I reached a dead end. I realised then that the Contessa car was nowhere in the vicinity and no camera was filming me. I thought I had driven too fast and left them behind.” Retracing his steps, Aadhi found that the car had broken down midway and he had been too engrossed in navigating the tiny lanes, to notice it.

Every day Aadhi looked forward to the shoot, “Each day was full of spontaneous, fun moments with Yogi Babu, Ravi Maria, John Vijay and the others. It was like going on a holiday. That camaraderie between all of us has contributed to the comedy in the film.”

The plot revolves around a few individuals working on a plan but things go upside down as events unfold and romance establishes.

Aadhi plays a con artist who teams up with Hansika to pull off a heist. Yogi Babu plays Aadhi’s sidekick and provides comic relief. Palak Lalwani plays a cop who is after Aadhi and Hansika. Pandiarajan and Robo Shankar play supporting roles as Aadhi’s mentors. The film is said to be a fun-filled entertainer with twists and turns.

The film tells the story of two friends, Aadhi and Yogi Babu, who are forced to become partners in crime. Aadhi is an unemployed man who is struggling to make ends meet.

Yogi Babu is a petty thief who is always getting into trouble. When they meet, they decide to team up and pull off a big heist. However, things don’t go according to plan and they end up in a lot of trouble.

The film has not been released yet, so there are no official reviews available. However, based on the trailer and the songs, the film seems to be a promising comedy caper with a good dose of action and romance. The trailer showcases the chemistry between Aadhi and Hansika, the comic timing of Yogi Babu, the stylish visuals and the catchy music by Santhosh Dayanidhi.

The film is expected to appeal to the family audience and the youth alike. The film is also releasing in Telugu as ‘Partners in Crime’.

Hansika is the charmer in this light-hearted entertainer that delivers few laughs here goes our partner tamil movie review..

Debutant director Manoj Damodharan’s Partner is a timepass comedy that does not offer great strokes or story, but a handful of laughs do come along.

The film is about two friends who join a company who specialize in different forms of theft, and while attempting to steal different things, they come across a scientist who is forming a machine that entirely changes the visual look of the person. When Yogi Babu mistakenly sits on the machine, he transforms into a young woman (Hansika). The rest of the story is based on the comedy that takes place between the characters.

Partner does not offer much in terms of its plot progression in the first half, as there is hardly anything to laugh at here. It is only after the Hansika – Yogi Babu transformation that the film turns funnier, as there are a lot of comic sequences in the second that bring about laughter. The film is decent in terms of being an entertainer, at best.

Aadhi has done a Tamil film after a long time, and he has abided by the rules of a comic entertainer well and has performed well. Yogi Babu is not in the form we have seen in recent times, and the film lights up well when he transforms into Hansika in the second half.

The visuals are adequate, and the music by Santhosh Dhayanidhi does not hamper the proceedings. The short runtime of the film also helps.

Partner gets OTT premiere

Hansika Motwani and Aadhi Pinisetty's Partner , which hit theatres on August 25, is now available to stream on Prime Video. Helmed by Manoj Dhamodharan, the film opened to unfavourable reviews. 

Yogi Babu also plays a key role in Partner , which marks the maiden directorial venture of Manoj Dhamodharan. Also starring Palak Lalwani, Pandiarajan, Robo Shankar, and John Vijay among others, Partner is produced by RFC Creations.

Partner OTT release date: When, where to watch Hansika Motwani's sci-fi comedy

Partner, starring Aadhi Pinisetty and Hansika Motwani, is set to make its OTT debut this week.

Actor Hansika Motwani's previous movie Partner is getting ready to make its digital debut. Billed as a science fiction comedy, Partner will become available for streaming on Simply South this week.

On Wednesday, it was officially announced that Partner will make its digital debut on Simply South on October 6. It can also be streamed on Tentkotta. However, the filmmakers have not officially announced the plans for its India streaming yet.

There are no reports about who owns the streaming rights of the movie in India. Or when will it become available for the Indian audience? The cast and crew of the movie are also not running the promotions ahead of the movie's OTT debut.

Partner star cast and plot

Partner was released in cinemas on August 25 without much fanfare. The movie received lukewarm responses at the box office and made to impress both critics and audiences alike. It could be one of the reasons why the movie's star cast quietly disowned the movie.

Partner is written and directed by debutant director Manoj Damodharan. Taking inspiration from several Hollywood movies, the movie revolves around a strange event, which turns a man into a beautiful woman. Based on the trailer, the movie follows the efforts of a small-town guy played by Aadhi Pinisetty. He comes to Chennai determined to earn Rs 25 lakh and he seeks the help of his friend played by Yogi Babu. And the hero turns to stealing to make quick money. However, a mishap occurs when Yogi Babu accidentally receives an injection of a serum during a robbery, resulting in a transformation into a woman, portrayed by Hansika Motwani.

Over the past three months, Microsoft has launched new campaigns, resources, and trainings to support you as you guide customers into the future — we’ve rounded up some of the most essential ones here:

Doing more with less: Based on what they are hearing from the industry,the economy, and their employees, many organizations are expecting to have to do more with less in the coming year. This doesn’t mean working harder or longer, it means applying technology to better amplify existing efforts. Partners will play a crucial role in helping customers achieve more innovation, more agility, and more resilience with less — less time, less cost, and less complexity — across solution areas:

• Azure: The Azure marketing team has created two campaign-in-a-box kits for services and ISV partners to market the benefits of "do more with less" with customers.

The new  Do More with Less Campaign for SMBs   brings together resources to help accelerate new customer acquisition and upsell by offering Microsoft 365 as a complete solution package.
• Business Applications : Many partners are finding success using Dynamics 365 and Power Platform to help customers build resilience amid market uncertainty. We’ve compiled some of our most useful content for Business Applications on the Partner Hub, designed for solutions that optimize operations, drive efficiency, and generate savings.

New investments in ISV: During November’s first ever Marketplace Summit, we discussed the ways we’re energizing growth in the ISV ecosystem. Attendees received a holistic overview of commercial marketplace opportunities, and now anyone can catch up on the news they missed with on-demand content at marketplacesummit.microsoft.com .

One of the summit’s major topics was ISV Success , now in public preview . Through ISV Success, partners can build across the Microsoft Cloud and access specially designed benefits like cloud credits, software licenses, developer tooling with GitHub and Visual Studio, and other technical and business resources.

New “Infra & Database Migration to Azure” specialization: As of January 9, 2023, the new Infra and Database Migration to Microsoft Azure specialization combined and replaced the Windows Server and SQL Server Migration to Microsoft Azure specialization and the Linux and Open-Source Database Migration to Microsoft Azure specialization.

This change is driven by a desire to align with customer expectations and accommodate the natural overlap between the capabilities validated in the two aforementioned specializations. The new Infra and Database Migration to Microsoft Azure specialization simplifies the validation of core infrastructure migration expertise for customers. Azure Migration and Modernization Program Partner-Led update: Take advantage of the three new additions in this Partner-led program to simplify and accelerate your customers’ cloud journey.
