पाठशाला का पहला दिन।

जून महीना शुरू हो गया था और अभी मुझे इंतजार था तो बस पाठशाला जाने का क्योंकी अभी जल्द ही पाठशाला शुरू होने वाली थी। पाठशाला शुरू होने के पहले मेरे पिताजी ने मुझे नए पुस्तकें और विद्यालय का गणवेश लाकर दिया था।

अभी जल्दी पाठशाला शुरू होने वाली थी, और मुझे मेरी पाठशाला का पहला दिन अनुभव करने मिलने वाला था। मुझे याद है में उस दिन में जल्दी उठ गया था और पाठशाला जाने की तैयारी करके बैठ था।

पाठशाला के पहले दिन मैने सभी चीजें नई लाई थी और मुझे वह पाठशाला ले जाने की ओढ़ लगी थी। मेरी मां ने मुझे डब्बा भर के दिया और में दौड़ते हुए निकला मेरी पाठशाला की तरफ। में विद्यालय पहुंचा तो सभी विद्यार्थी मेरे जैसे है उत्साह से पाठशाला में समय से पहले ही अगाए थे।

सभी विद्यार्थियों की एक दूसरे से पहचान हो गई और सब एक दूसरे को उन्होंने छुट्टियों में क्या किया वो बताया। पाठशाला का पहीला दिन काफी आंनद से बीत रहा था और सभी बहुत खुश थे।

पाठशाला के पहिले दिन सभी विषयो के शिक्षकों ने कुछ भी नहीं पढ़ाया और उन्होंने बस हमसे जान पहचान करके हमरे नाम जान लिए। जैसे ही डब्बा खाने का समय हुआ तो हम सभी ने मिल जुलकर अपने डब्बे में लाया हुआ खाना खाया।

ऐसा मेरा पाठशाला का पहला दिन में कभी भी भूल नहीं पाऊंगा, इस दिन मुझे एक अलग अनुभव आया और हमने बहुत मोज की। ऐसा दिन मेरे जीवन में बार-बार ऐसा मुझे लगता है।

यह स्कूल में मेरा पहला दिन था। मेरे पास एक नया बैग, पानी की बोतल, नई किताबें, जूते और मोजे और साथ ही डोरा आकार का टिफिन बॉक्स था। मैं इन सभी नई चीजों के साथ स्कूल जाने के बारे में खुश था, लेकिन मुझे जो दुख हुआ वह यह था कि मुझे नए दोस्त भी बनाने थे। इसलिए, मैं उस दिन खुद मेरे लिए एक दोस्त खोजने के लिए भगवान से पूछने के लिए घर छोड़ने से पहले प्रार्थना कक्ष में भाग गया।

मुझे लगा कि स्कूल का मेरा पहला दिन बहुत उबाऊ होगा – अकेले बैठे हुए केवल नोट्स की नकल करना और दूसरों को अपने दोस्तों के साथ बात करते और हँसते हुए देखना। मैं अपनी कक्षा में पहुँच गया। जब मैं नया था तब सभी मुझे देख रहे थे। सुकर है! शिक्षक तेजी से आया, क्योंकि सभी चिल्ला रहे थे। हमें अपना परिचय देना था। जब मैंने अपना परिचय दिया और अपनी जगह पर बैठा तो मुझे अचानक अपनी पीठ से एक छोटी सी आवाज़ सुनाई दी। किसी ने कहा, “मुझे माफ कर दो” और मैं घूम गया।

मेरे आश्चर्य करने के लिए यह एक सुंदर लड़की थी। “हाँ” मैंने कहा, और फिर उसने मुझसे पूछा कि क्या मैं उसका दोस्त बन सकता हूँ? मैं बहुत खुश था कि मैं खुद को हाँ कहने से रोक नहीं पाया। स्कूल के पहले दिन एक दोस्त !! घर पहुँचने के बाद मैं प्रार्थना कक्ष में भाग गया और भगवान का धन्यवाद किया क्योंकि स्कूल जाने से पहले मैंने भगवान से उस दिन मेरे लिए एक दोस्त खोजने के लिए कहा था। उसका नाम बेथ है। वह सात साल की है और उसका जन्मदिन 13 मई को है, जो मेरा है। हम अभी अच्छे दोस्त हैं और तभी से हम एक साथ कई गतिविधियाँ करते हैं। हम हमेशा हमेशा के लिए सबसे अच्छे दोस्त होंगे।

उस दिन परिवार बेहद उत्साहित था। मेरे माता-पिता मुझे पिछले दिन मंदिर ले गए थे और मेरा बैग बहुत देखभाल के साथ पैक किया गया था। मुझे अपने जीवन में पहली बार पाठशाला जाना था। मैं तीन साल का था और मुझे आज भी याद है कि मैं पहली बार पाठशाला गया था। मेरे पिता मुझे अपनी कक्षा में छोड़ने आए और मुझे अपने शिक्षक और कक्षा से परिचित होने में मदद की। मुझे घर से इतने घंटे दूर रहने के ख्याल से नफरत थी। कार से उतरते ही मैंने आँसू बहा दिए और मेरे पिता का हाथ थाम लिया।

मेरे पिता मेरे डर को महसूस कर सकते थे और खेल के मैदान पर मेरा ध्यान आकर्षित करके मुझे खुश करने की कोशिश करते थे, जहां झूले मुझे आने और खेलने के लिए आमंत्रित कर रहे थे। मैं थोड़ा बेहतर हूं क्योंकि मैंने कई अन्य लड़कों और लड़कियों को कक्षा में प्रवेश करते हुए देखा, जहां मुझे जाना था।

श्रीमती स्मिथ वह एक दयालु महिला थीं, जिन्होंने हम सभी को सहज महसूस कराया। जल्द ही मुझे एहसास हुआ कि स्कूल मजेदार था क्योंकि श्रीमती स्मिथ ने हमें कुछ गाने सिखाए और हमें कुछ कहानियाँ सुनाईं। उसने हमारे पाठशाला में हमारी माँ की जगह ली।

यह एक चमकदार धूप का दिन था, मेरी माँ ने मुझे स्कूल के मुख्य द्वार पर गिरा दिया। मैंने एक गहरी साँस ली और मुख्य द्वार की ओर चलने लगा। मैं एक भावनात्मक उथल-पुथल में था। मैं उत्तेजित था, डर गया और थोड़ा सा घबरा गया।

मैं धीरे-धीरे आगे बढ़ता गया क्योंकि मैंने बाकी सभी बच्चों को देखना शुरू किया। अधिकांश समूह में थे और सभी हंसते और मुस्कुराते हुए बात कर रहे थे। मैं बहुत छोटा महसूस करता था, जैसे कि मैं एक एलियन था, जो अभी-अभी धरती पर आया था। मैं वापस जाना चाहता था लेकिन यह संभव नहीं था। जब मैं स्कूल के मुख्य भवन में पहुँचा तो मैं स्वागत क्षेत्र तक गया जहाँ मैंने अपने कक्षा कक्ष के बारे में पूछताछ की।

मैं पिछले चार वर्षों से सनातन धर्म सीनियर सेकेण्ड्री स्कूल में पढ़ रहा हूं, लेकिन आज तक मैं इस स्कूल के अपने पहले दिन को नहीं भूल पाया हूं ।उस दिन मुझे अपने उस ट्‌यूटर के चंगुल से छुटकारा मिला था, जो मुझे हर दिन ढेर-सा काम घर पर करने को देता था ।

मुझे सप्ताह में किसी दिन भी छुट्‌टी नहीं मिलती थी । ऐसी स्थिति में आप मेरी प्रसन्नता की कल्पना कर सकते हैं, जब मुझे यह पता लगा कि अब मुझे एक स्कूल में भर्ती कराया जायेगा ।

स्कूल आते समय:

मैं स्कूल जाने की तैयारी के लिए 8 जुलाई को बड़े सबेरे उठ गया । अपने ट्‌यूटर के साथ मैं नए स्कूल के लिए रवाना हो गया । रास्ते में पानी बरसने लगा । स्कूल पहुंचने तक हम दोनों पूरी तरह से भीग गए थे ।

स्कूल कार्यालय तथा प्रिंसिपल का कार्यालय:

स्कूल की भव्य इमारत देखकर मैं उत्तेजित हो उठा । मेरा मन स्थिर नहीं रहा । कार्यालय में घुसने पर मैंने देखा कि काउन्टर के पीछे चार व्यक्ति बैठे हैं । उनमें से एक व्यक्ति से मेरे ट्‌यूटर ने प्रवेश-पत्र लिया । ट्‌यूटर ने प्रवेश-पत्र भरा ।

इसके बाद प्रवेश-पत्र के साथ हम दोनों प्रिंसिपल के कमरे में गए । ट्‌यूटर ने प्रिंसिपल को प्रवेश-पत्र दे दिया । उन्होंने प्रवेश-पत्र ध्यान से पढ़ा और घंटी बजाई । फौरन ही कमरे में एक चपरासी आया । उन्होंने उसे आदेश दिया कि वह हमें अध्यापकों के कमरे में ले जाये ।

परीक्षा और दाखिला:

चपरासी हमें जिस कमरे में ले गया उसमें एक बहुत बड़ी टेबल पड़ी थी, जिसके चारों ओर अध्यापक बैठे थे । चपरासी ने उनमें एक अध्यापक को मेरा प्रवेश-पत्र पकड़ा दिया । उस अध्यापक ने मेरे अग्रेजी के ज्ञान की परीक्षा ली । उसने मुझे दाखिले के योग्य मान लिया ।

इसके बाद एक अन्य अध्यापक ने मुझे पाँच सवाल हल करने को दिए । मैंने उन्हें बड़ी आसानी से हल कर दिया । दोनों ही अध्यापकों ने प्रवेश-पत्र पर कुछ लिखकर हस्ताक्षर कर दिए । प्रवेश-पत्र को लेकर मेरे ट्‌यूटर पुन: कार्यालय में गए और मेरी फीस जमा करा दी । मुझे एक पर्ची देकर कक्षा में भेजा दिया गया ।

कक्षा तथा कक्षा अध्यापक:

कक्षा में पहुँचकर मैं सबसे पंक्ति में एक सीट पर बैठ गया । मेरे सामने दीवार पर एक बडा ब्लैकबोर्ड था । उसके पास अध्यापकों के बैठने के लिए एक अच्छी-सी कुर्सी और टेबल थी । कुछ समय बाद कक्षा में एक अध्यापक ने प्रवेश किया ।

उसके प्रवेश करते ही सभी लड़के खड़े हो गए । मैं भी उनके साथ खड़ा हो गया । मैंने उन अध्यापक महोदय को वह पर्ची पकड़ा दी । उन्होंने मेरा नाम रजिस्टर में लिख लिया । मेरा सौभाग्य था कि वे अध्यापक बड़े सज्जन पुरुष थे । उन्होंने कुछ राचक चुटकुले सुनाए ।

मध्यांतर छुट्‌टी:

जैसे ही मध्यातंर की घंटी बजी, हम सभी विद्यार्थी कक्षा से बाहर निकल आये । यह कुछ देर के लिए कक्षा के नीरस वातावरण से मुक्ति की अवधि थी । इस दौरान खेल का मैदान गतिविधियो का केन्द्र बन गया और मैं अकेला खड़ा था ।

मुझे अकेला देखकर कुछ लड़के मेरे पास आये और मेरा मजाक उड़ाने लगे । उनमें से एक ने पूछा ”तुम किस जगल से आए हो” मैं चुप रहा । भाग्यवश तीन अन्य लड़के मेरी सहायता को दौड़ आए । उन्होने मुझे स्कूल की पूरी इमारत दिखाई । उनके साथ ही मैंने स्कूल का पुस्तकालय तथा वाचनालय देखा ।

हम स्कूल के हॉल में भी गए, कुछ महान् विभूतियों के चित्रों और पेंटिंग से सुसज्जित था । इतने में ही घंटी बज गई । मध्यातर काल समाप्त हुआ और हम सब अपनी-अपनी कक्षाओं में वापस चले गए । उस दिन एक-एक करके अन्य अध्यापक भी कक्षा में आए, लेकिन उन्होंने पढ़ाया नहीं ।

साढ़े बारह बजे छुट्‌टी की घंटी बजी । सभी लडके शोर मचाते हुए कक्षाओं से निकल पडे । मैं भी अन्य लडकों के साथ स्कूल से घर पहुंचा । घर पहुंचने पर मेरे मन में तरह-तरह के नए विचार उठते रहे । मैंने अपनी मां को विस्तार से बताया कि मेरा स्कूल कितना अच्छा है । स्कूल के पहले दिन का वृतान्त सुनकर मेरी मां भी बड़ी खुश हुई ।

यह लेख कोरोना के बाद स्कूल के पहले दिन पर एक हिंदी निबंध (First day of school after Corona Essay in Hindi) है। कोरोना के मामले कम होने के कारण स्कूलों को शुरू किया गया है। इसलिए इस निबंध में कोरोना के बाद स्कूल के पहले दिन के अनुभवों को व्यक्त किया जाना है।

कोरोना वायरस का प्रकोप कम होने के बाद स्कूलों को फिर से खोल दिया गया। डेढ़ साल से स्कूल बंद होने के कारण स्कूल जाना थोड़ा नया लग रहा था। एक बार फिर स्कूल जाने का मतलब था की एक या एक से अधिक काम रोज करने की जरुरत होगी, जैसे स्कूल बैग भरना, यूनिफॉर्म की इस्त्री करना, जूतों की सफाई करना!

स्कूल के पहले दिन मैं सुबह जल्दी उठा। सुबह के सारे काम खत्म करने के बाद, मैंने स्कूल बैग में किताबों और नोटबुक्स को भर दिया। फिर मैंने स्कूल वर्दी को ठीक से इस्त्री किया। माँ ने खाना बनाया था। मैंने अभी-अभी डिब्बा भरा और स्कूल जाने के लिए तैयार हो गया!

जब मैं स्कूल गया तो सभी पुराने शिक्षक नए लग रहे थे। सभी छात्र मित्र थोड़े बड़े लग रहे थे। स्कूल में अन्य स्टाफ दैनिक परिचितों की कमी के कारण थोड़ा अलग दिख रहा था। हम छात्र मित्रों को फिर से देखकर सभी बहुत खुश हुए।

स्कूल का पहला दिन शुरू हुआ लेकिन क्लास कोरोना को लेकर तमाम चिंताओं से भरी रही। कुछ नए नियम लाए गए, जैसे सुरक्षित कक्षा में बैठना, एक-दूसरे को न छूना, मास्क का उपयोग करना और नियमित रूप से हाथ धोना।

स्कूल का समय नियमित नहीं था। प्रमुख तीन विषयों के घंटों के बाद दोपहर में छुट्टी थी। उस छुट्टी के दौरान भोजन करने का नियम था। अवकाश समाप्त होने पर एक बार फिर कक्षाएं भरी गईं। तब भाषा के विषय पढ़ाए जाने वाले थे।

शिक्षकों के पढ़ाने का तरीका थोड़ा अलग लग रहा था क्योंकि उन्होंने भी डेढ़ से दो साल के लिए ऑनलाइन पढ़ाने का काम किया था। पहले दिन का अधिकांश समय संशोधित पाठ्यक्रम, परीक्षा और स्कूल के कार्यक्रम के साथ-साथ कोरोना के नए नियमों को समझने में व्यतीत हुआ है।

कोरोना होने के कारण खुद का पानी लाने का नियम जोड़ा गया। साथ ही पहले दिन समझाया गया कि अगले माह सत्र की परीक्षाएं होंगी। इसलिए सभी गृहकार्य को जल्दी पूरा करना आवश्यक था, जिसका अर्थ है कि एक बार फिर से अध्ययन और लेखन की दिनचर्या शुरू हो गई थी।

यह घोषणा की गई कि भाषा के सभी विषयों को पढ़ाने के बाद स्कूल खत्म हो जाएगा। स्कूल तो शुरू हुआ लेकिन उसमें नए नियम लागू किए गए। बेशक, प्रार्थना, खेल और भोजन को छोड़ दिया गया था। तो कोरोना के बाद स्कूल का पहला दिन बिना किसी गतिविधि के सिर्फ एक किताब विषय सीखने जैसा था।

मेरे विद्यालय का स्थान

मेरे विद्यालय का नाम बाल निकेतन है। यह शहर की भीड़-भाड़ से दूर, बेहद शांत माहौल में विद्यमान है। इसके चारों ओर हरियाली ही हरियाली है। जिस कारण वातावरण शुध्द रहता है और हमें शुध्द वायु भी मिलती है। मेरा विद्यालय मेरे घर से थोड़ी ही दूरी पर है। मेरे विद्यालय का व्यास बहुत बड़ा है। इसके चारों तरफ सुंदर-सुंदर फूलों की क्यारियां लगी है।

हमारे विद्यालय का परिणाम (रिजल्ट) प्रति वर्ष शत-प्रतिशत आता है। मेरे विद्यालय की गणना शहर के अच्छे स्कूलों में की जाती है। मेरे विद्यालय में हर वर्ष वार्षिकोत्सव होता है, जिसमें कई प्रकार के सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम कराये जाते हैं। जिसमें हर प्रतियोगिता में उत्तीर्ण बच्चों को पुरस्कृत किया जाता है। मेरे विद्यालय में प्रायोगिक शिक्षा पर भी ध्यान दिया जाता है। हमारे शिक्षक हमारे भीतर कौशल के विकास पर भी ध्यान देते है।

हमारा और सरकार का यह दायित्व है की हमारा विद्यालय आदर्श विद्यालय बने। हमारे विद्यालय से आदर्श विद्यार्थी निकलने चाहिए, जो राष्ट्र को नई दिशा दे सके।

मेरा विद्यालय मुझे बहुत पसंद है। हमारा विद्यालय हमारे भविष्य को बेहतर बनाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है। इसकी उपयोगिता कोई नज़रअंदाज नहीं कर सकता। विद्यालय ही है, जो हमें सामान्य से विशेष बनाता है। हमारी छिपी प्रतिभा को खोज निकालता है। हमारा स्वयं से साक्षात्कार कराता है।

विद्यालय की परिभाषा

विद्यालय अर्थात विद्या का आलय या घर। ऐसा स्थान जहां अध्ययन-अध्यापन के द्वारा शिक्षा प्रदान की जाती है।

विद्यालय की परिकल्पना

विद्यालय की परंपरा कोई नयी नहीं है। सदियों से हमारा देश ज्ञान का स्रोत रहा है। हमारे यहां आदिकाल से ही गुरुकुल परंपरा रही है। बड़े-बड़े राजा महाराजा भी अपना राजसी वैभव छोड़कर ज्ञान-प्राप्ति के लिए गुरुकुल जाते थे। यहा तक की ईश्वर के अवतार श्रीकृष्ण और श्रीराम भी पढ़ने के लिए गुरुकुल आश्रम गये थे। गुरू का स्थान ईश्वर से भी ऊपर होता है, संसार को ऐसी सीख दी।

विद्यालय की भूमिका

जिन्दगी का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण समय होता है, हमारा बाल्यकाल। यही वो समय होता है जब हम केवल खुद के लिए जीते है। दोस्त बनाते हैं। दोस्तों के साथ हंसते है, रोते है। जीवन का असली आनंद अनुभव करते हैं। इन सब खुशी के पलों में हमारा विद्यालय हमारे साथ होता है।

कभी-कभी तो मां-बाप से ज्यादा नजदीकी हमारे शिक्षक हो जाते है। हमें हर कदम पर थामने और सम्भालने के लिए तैयार रहते है। मां-बाप के डर के कारण बहुत से बच्चे अपने शिक्षकों से ही अपनी परेशानियां बताते है। विद्यार्थी के जीवन को सही राह एक शिक्षक ही दिखाता है।

विद्यालय सरकारी और निजी दोनों प्रकार होते है। आजकल ऐसी लोगों की धारणा हो गयी है कि केवल निजी विद्यालयों में ही पढ़ाई होती है। यह धारण गलत है। इसी बात का लाभ ढ़ेरो  विद्यालय वाले उठाते है। हर माता-पिता अपने बच्चों को श्रेष्ठ शिक्षा देना चाहते है। किंतु सबकी हैसियत इतनी नहीं होती कि वो इन विद्यालयों की मोटी शुल्क राशि को भर सकें।

आजकल शिक्षा का व्यवसायीकरण हो गया है। सभी केवल अपनी जेब भरने में लगे है। बच्चों के भविष्य की किसी को चिंता नहीं है। दिन पर दिन शिक्षा का स्तर गिरता जा रहा है। विद्यालय ही तो वो जरिया होता है, जहां से देश के भविष्य का सृजन होता है। सरकार ने इस संबंध में कई नियम बनाये हैं। किन्तु पालन तो आम जनता को ही करना है।

मेरे विद्यालय का नाम उच्चतर माध्यमिक विद्यालय है। मेरे विद्यालय का परिसर काफी बड़ा है। मेरे विद्यालय में दो-दो मंजिल की चार इमारतें है। इसके चारों तरफ बड़े-बड़े पेड़ लगे हुए है। इसमें बड़े-बड़े पचास से भी ज्यादा कमरे है। हर कमरे में बड़ी-बड़ी खिड़कियां और दो-दो दरवाजे है। बड़े-बड़े तीन खेल के मैदान है। साथ में लगा हुआ बास्केट-बॉल कोर्ट भी है।

हमारे विद्यालय में पचास से ज्यादा शिक्षक-शिक्षिकाएं हैं। सभी बहुत ही सहृदयी और मिलनसार है। बच्चों की हर संभव सहायता करते है।

विद्यालय की विशेषताएं

नेशनल करिकुलम फ्रेमवर्क 2005 (NCF 2005) और शिक्षा का अधिकार 2009 (RTE 2009) ने कुछ मानक तय कर रखे हैं, जिसके अनुसार ही विद्यालय की बनावट और वातावरण होना चाहिए। नेशनल करिकुलम फ्रेमवर्क 2005 (NCF 2005) ने भारत में शिक्षा के स्तर में प्रोन्नति हेतु महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठायें हैं। जो बहुत कारगर भी सिध्द हुएं हैं। RTE 2009 ने विद्यार्थियों के समग्र विकास में विद्यालय की विशेष और महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका बतायी है। विद्यालय की यह जिम्मेदारी बनती है कि वह बच्चों की हर छोटी-बड़ी आवश्यकताओं का ध्यान रखे।

मानक के अनुसार कुछ विशेषताएं अधोलिखित हैं-

• शांत वातावरण होना चाहिए।
• ट्रेंड टीचर्स होने चाहिए।
• विद्यालय का बोर्ड परीक्षाओं में श्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन होना चाहिए।
• नियमित गृह कार्य दिया जाना चाहिए।
• छात्र/छात्राओं के मूल्यांकन हेतु सतत मूल्यांकन पद्धति अपनायी जानी चाहिए।
• स्वाध्याय हेतु एक पुस्तकालय एवं वाचनालय होना चाहिए।
• अतिरिक्त पाठ्येतर गतिविधि पर बल देना चाहिए ।
• विभिन्न विषयों में प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं की व्यवस्था होनी चाहिए
• अध्यापन हेतु कक्ष विशाल और हवादार होने चाहिए।
• सी० बी० एस० ई० के निर्देशानुसार सत्र 2009 – 2010 से ही कक्षा 9 व् 10 में भी अंको के स्थान पर ग्रेडिंग व्यवस्था लागू कर दिया गया है, जिसका पालन होना चाहिए।
• शीतल पेय-जल की समुचित व्यवस्था होनी चाहिए ।
• समुचित शौचालयों का प्रबंध होना चाहिए ।
• शारीरिक, योग, नृत्य एवं संगीत शिक्षा की उचित व्यवस्था होनी चाहिए ।
• छात्रो की अंतः क्रियाओं एवं मानसिक विकास हेतु वाद-विवाद प्रतियोगिता आदि कराना चाहिए।
• विद्यालय की वार्षिक पत्रिका छपनी चाहिए, जिसमें हर क्षेत्र के मेधावी बच्चों का उल्लेख होना चाहिए।
• सभी कक्षाओं में स्मार्ट कक्षा की व्यवस्था होना चाहिए ।

विद्यालय के प्रकार

बचपन से बड़े होने तक हम अलग-अलग विद्यालयों में पढ़ते है। विद्यालयों के भी कई प्रकार होते हैं, जैसे

• आंगनवाड़ी – आंगनवाड़ी में सामान्यतः छोटे बच्चों को बैठना और बाकी आधारभूत चीजें सिखाते हैं।
• प्राथमिक विद्यालय – प्राथमिक पाठशाला में एक से पाँच तक की पढ़ाई होती है।
• माध्यमिक विद्यालय – इस व्यवस्था में प्रथम से आठवीं तक की शिक्षा दी जाती है। कभी-कभी यह कक्षा छः से आठ तक भी होती है।
• उच्चत्तर माध्यमिक विद्यालय – बारहवीं तक की शिक्षा यहां संपादित होती है।

विद्यालय में जब हमारा दाखिला होता है तो उस वक़्त हम नन्हें पौधे रहते हैं। हमारा विद्यालय ही हमे सींच कर बड़ा वृक्ष बनाता है। और इस दुनिया में रहने योग्य बनाता है। अपने जीवन की सबसे महत्वपूर्ण घड़ियां हम अपने विद्यालय में ही बिताते है। बड़े होने पर हम सबसे अधिक विद्यालय में बिताये लम्हों को ही याद करते हैं।

मुझे याद आ रही हैं फारसी के शायर शब्तसरी की ये पंक्तियाँ–

अर्थात पहली बार जो भी काम किया जाए, वह कठिन लगता है, परन्तु ‘धीरे-धीरे वही काम सरल हो जाता है। सचमुच, जीवन में ऐसा ही तो है। पहली बार किसी नए काम को करो, पहली बार किसी यात्रा पर जाओ; पहली बार किसी से बातचीत करो, अवश्य ही विचित्र अनुभव होगा। यह अनुभव मधर भी हो सकता। है और कट भी। ऐसा ही खट्टा-मीठा अनुभव मुझे तय हुआ, जब मैं पहले दिन अपने वर्तमान विद्यालय में गया।

मैं चौदह वर्षीय नौंवी कक्षा का छात्र हैं। मेरी माताजी एक माध्यमिक विद्यालय में अध्यापिका हैं। पिताजी दिल्ली में एक सरकारी कर्मचारी हैं। हमारा सीमित और खुशहाल परिवार है। पिताजी सुबह रेलगाड़ी से दिल्ली जाते हैं और शाम को लौटते * माता जी भी गैरे विद्यालय जाने के उपरांत नौकरी पर चली जाती हैं। शाम। को हम सभी मिल-जलकर और बैठकर बातचीत करते हैं। पहले मैं भी अपनी माताजी। वाले विद्यालय में ही पढ़ता था, किन्तु वह विद्यालय केवल आठवीं कक्षा तक ही या। अतः मुझे नौंवी कक्षा में विद्यालय-परिवर्तन करना पड़ा और में हिन्दू विद्यापीठ में आ गया। चूंकि आठवीं कक्षा में मैंने 80% अंकों से उत्तीर्ण की थी। मेरा पर्व विद्यालय भी ‘सेन्ट्रल बोर्ड ऑफ सेकेण्डरी एजुकेशन, नई दिल्ली’ से ही सम्बद्ध था। अतः विलम्ब हो जाने के बावजूद यहाँ प्रवेश लेने में मुझे कोई कठिनाई नहीं हुई। इस नए विद्यालय में प्रवेश के प्रथम दिन मेरे हृदयसरोवर में काफी हलचल मची हुई थी। मैं सोच रहा था न जाने कैसा विद्यालय होगा ? अध्यापक कैसे होंगे ? अन्य विद्यार्थी कैसा व्यवहार करेंगे ? आदि। पर साथ ही में इस आत्मविश्वास से भी भरा हुआ था कि शीघ्र ही स्वयं को इस नए माहौल में डाल लूंगा।

मैं विद्यालय के निर्धारित समय से 5 मिनट पूर्व कक्षा में पहुँचा। मैंने अपनी पुस्तकें एक डेस्क पर रखीं और कक्षा का जायजा लेने लगा। इतने में प्रार्थना के लिए घंटी बजी। मैं भी अन्य छात्रों के साथ-साथ प्रार्थना स्थल की ओर चल दिया। अपनी कक्षा की पंक्ति में जाकर खड़ा हो गया। प्रार्थना के उपरांत प्रत्येक कक्षा के छात्र-पंक्तियों ने अपनी-अपनी कक्षा की ओर चल दिए। मैं भी चुपचाप आकर | अपने स्थान पर बैठ गया। कक्षा का नया छात्र होने के कारण जहाँ मैं स्वयं को कुछ अजनबी या अनुभव कर रहा था, वहीं अन्य छात्र मुझे ऐसे घूर-दूर कर देख | रहे थे मानो कुछ अजुबा उपस्थित हो गया हो।

खैर, थोड़ी देर में कक्षाध्यापिका आई । हाजिरी लेनी शुरू की। मुझ पर दृष्टिपात करते ही उन्हें प्रश्नों की झड़ी लगा दी। नाम क्या है ? पिता का नाम ? कहाँ रहते। । हो ? पहले किस विद्यालय में थे ? आदि । इसके पश्चात् प्रथम पीरियड आरम्भ हुआ। अध्यापक ने बैठने का संकेत किया। बैठते-बैठते भी अध्यापक ने मेरी ओर प्रश्न उछाल दिया। ‘नए आए हो?’ ‘क्या नाम है ?’ मैं जिन प्रश्नों के उत्तर पहले। ‘हाजिरी-पीरीयड’ के दौरान दे चुका था, उन्हीं का उत्तर एक बार फिर देना पड़ा। मैंने स्वाभाविक रूप से समस्त उत्तर दिए। अध्यापक ने कार्यारम्भ किया। उन्होंने ‘चक्रवृद्धि ब्याज’ पर आधारित कुछ सवाल समझाए। फिर एक सवाल छात्रों को करने को दिया। मैंने तुरन्त करके दिखा दिया। अध्यापक ने मेरी पीठ थपथपाते। हुए कहा-‘शाबाश ! होशियार जान पड़ते हो।’ यह सुनते ही मेरा सीना गर्व सतन गया। शायद कुछ छात्रों को अध्यापक के ये वचन गले की फांस की तरह लगे। वे मुझ पर इस प्रकार दृष्टिबाण फेंकने लगे, जैसे कह रहे हों, कहाँ से आ टपका ? खर, पहला पीरियड बीत गया।

दुसरा पीरियड अंग्रेजी था। अंग्रेजी की अध्यापिका के आने पर फिर सारी कक्षा स्वागत-हेतु खड़ी हुई। अध्यापिका के ‘सिट डाउन’ और छात्रों के ‘बैंक्यू मैडम कहने के साथ कक्षाकार्य आरंभ हुआ। अध्यापिका ने ‘ग्रामर’ करवाई। अध्यापिका द्वारा पूछे गए प्रश्नों के समुचित उत्तर देने से जहाँ मेरी विद्वत्ता सिद्ध हो रही थी, वहीं, कुछ छात्रों को ऐसा अनुभव हो रहा था कि उनका एक और प्रतिद्वन्द्वी आ गया है। इसी तरह पीरियड बीतते रहे। चार पीरियड बीतने पर अद्धांवकाश हुआ। मैं अपनी बैंच पर बैठा हुआ भोजन निकालने की सोच ही रहा था कि एक छात्र ने मुझे खाने पर निमंत्रण दिया। ‘अंधा क्या चाहे दो आँखें ।’ मैंने झट अपना टिफ़िन लिया और पहुँच गया उस छात्र के पास। भोजन के दौरान उससे उसके कुछ मित्रों से मेरा परिचय हुआ। बातों-बातों में मुझे चार मित्र मिल गए। उन्होंने विद्यालय । व अध्यापकों के विषय में बड़ी मजेदार बातें बताई। उनको मैंने खूब आनन्द लिया।

उन्होंने ही बताया कि छात्रों ने हिन्दी-अध्यापिका का नाम श्रीदेवी’ और संस्कृत-अध्यापक का नाम ‘बच्चुराम’ रखा हुआ है। तभी घंटी बजी। शिक्षण-कार्य पुनः आरम्भ हो गया।

अब प्रथम पीरियड हिन्दी का था। तथाकथित ‘श्रेदेवी जी आई। सचमुच लम्बी-छरहरी, गोरी-चिट्टी इतनी सुन्दर अध्यापिका थीं। ऐसी आकर्षक कि कोई भी छात्र उनकी बात को अनसुना कर ही न पाए। उन्होंने कक्षा में आते ही पूछा-“कल। मैंने सुभद्राकुमारी चौहान का जीवन-परिचय याद करके आने को कहा था, सभी को याद है ? छात्र एक दूसरे का मुँह ताकने लगे। तब उन्होंने प्रश्न किया-‘सुभद्राकुमारी चौहान का जन्म कब और कहाँ हुआ था ?

मैंने हाथ ऊपर किया। अध्यापिका की स्वीकृति मिलने पर मैंने बताया-‘उत्तर प्रदेश के निहालपुर गाँव में 1904 ई. में हुआ था।

अध्यापिका तुरन्त प्रभावित हो गई। कक्षा को सम्बोधित करके बोलीं-‘देखा, केवल एक ही छात्र याद करके आया है। तब छात्रों ने कहा-‘मगर, यह तो आज ही इस विद्यालय में आया है।

यह सुनकर अध्यापिका का ध्यान मेरी ओर गया। उन्होंने मेरा नाम, माता-पिता औरा पूर्व विद्यालय का नाम पूछा। उन्होंने मुझे शावशी दी व अन्य छात्रों को भी मुझसे प्रेरणा लेने को कहा। मुझे लगा मेरा इस विद्यालय में प्रवेश सार्थक हो गया।

इसी प्रकार करते-करते अंतिम पीरियड आ गया। यह पीरियड़ ‘यच्यूराम जी का था। उन्हें देखकर ही में जाना पाया कि बच्चों ने उनका नाम बच्चराम क्यों। रखा ? वे इतने छोटे कद के अध्यापक थे कि बच्चों से अभिन्न जान पड़ते थे। कुल मिलाकर यह पीरियड भी खूब मजे में बीता।

घंटी बजने पर सब छात्र अपने-अपने घर की ओर चल दिए। मैं भी अपनी परतकें समेटकर घर को चलने लगा। तभी पीछे से किसी ने मुझे आवाज दी। मैंने मुड़कर देखा तो वह हर्ष था—मेरा बचपन का साथी । हम पांचवीं कक्षा तक एक साथ पढे थे। छठी में वह ‘हिंदू विद्यापीट में आ गया और मैं उसी विद्यालय में पढ़ता रहा। अपने पुराने मित्र को देखकर मुझे बहुत प्रसन्नता हुई। उसने बताया कि वह भी नौंवी कक्षा में ‘बी’ विभाग में पढ़ता है। हम बातें करते-करते कुछ दूर तक आए। फिर वह अपने घर की ओर मुड़ गया और मैं अपने घर की ओर।

अब मुझे इस विद्यालय में पढ़ते हुए एक साल होने वाला है, किन्तु विद्यालय में पहला दिन मेरे लिए अमिट यादगार बन गया है। वर्तमान के धरातल पर खड़ा होकर जब कभी मैं अतीत के झरोखे में झांकता है, तो बरसात की प्रथम फुहार के समान रोमांचक आनन्ददायक अनुभूति से भर उठता हैं।

जब मैं अपने शहर में स्कूल में पढ़ता था तो सोचता था कि 12वीं क्लास पास करने के बाद मैं दूसरे शहर के कॉलेज में पढ़ाई करूंगा दरअसल कॉलेज में पढ़ना और सिर्फ इसके बारे में ही सोचना मुझे बहुत अच्छा लगता था। कुछ समय बाद जब मैं 12वीं पास हुआ तो मुझे खुशी हुई कि अब मैं कॉलेज में पढ़ाई करूंगा फिर मैंने एक कॉलेज में एडमिशन लिया। मैं मेडिकल का स्टूडेंट था दरहसल मेरे पिताजी मुझे एक डॉक्टर बनाना चाहते थे काफी मशक्कत के बाद जब मेरा कॉलेज में एडमिशन हुआ तब मुझे बहुत ही अच्छा लगा और मैंने उस शहर में रेंट पर एक कमरा ले लिया और वहीं पर रहने लगा मेरे साथ कुछ दिनों के लिए मेरे मम्मी पापा भी वहां पर रुकने के लिए आए हुए थे।

आज मेरा कॉलेज का पहला दिन था मैं खाना खाकर दोपहर 11:00 बजे अपने घर से निकल पड़ा सोच रहा था कि कॉलेज में किस तरह का माहौल होगा, किस तरह के मेरे साथी होंगे मुझे थोड़ी खुशी भी थी लेकिन थोड़ा अजीब सा भी लग रहा था क्योंकि मैंने कभी भी कॉलेज का वातावरण नहीं देखा था। मैं जब अपने कॉलेज के नजदीक पहुंचा तो वहां पर एक बड़ा सा गेट लगा हुआ था जिसके बीच में एक छोटा सा गेट था जो कि खुला हुआ था मैंने उसके अंदर देखा तो बहुत से विद्यार्थी वहां पर थे।

कुछ देर सोचने के बाद मैं अंदर चला गया और विद्यार्थियों के साथ वहीं पर खड़ा हो गया मैंने देखा की बहुत से विद्यार्थी मेरे कॉलेज में मेरी तरह नए-नए आए हुए हैं लेकिन उनका व्यवहार ऐसा लग रहा था जैसे वह कई दिनों से एक दूसरे को जानते हैं यहां तक कि लड़कियां भी एक दूसरे से बहुत ही खिलखिलाकर बातें कर रही थी बस मैं ही अकेला खड़ा था। कुछ देर बाद मैंने पास में ही खड़े किसी से अपने कक्षा का पता पूछा तो मुझे उन्होंने पता बता दिया।

अब मैं अपने हाथों में लिए हुए किताबों के साथ अंदर चला गया जब मैं अपनी कॉलेज की क्लास में पहुंचा तो वहां पर मेरी तरह कई छात्र थे जिनमें कुछ लड़के एवं कुछ लड़कियां भी थी एक नजर में मैंने देखा और अनुमान लगा लिया कि लगभग 60 से 70 लड़के लड़कियां होंगे। मैं पास में ही रखी एक कुर्सी पर जाकर बैठ गया मैंने देखा कि मेरे शहर का मेरा स्कूल का दोस्त भी उस कॉलेज में है तो मेरे चेहरे पर मुस्कान आ गई क्योंकि उस क्लास में सभी मेरे लिए अनजान थे केवल में वो ही था जिसको मैं जानता था।

मैं उसके पास गया और उसका नाम लेते हुए उससे हेलो कहा। वह मुझे देखकर बहुत ही खुश हुआ उसने मुझे पास में ही बैठने को कहा हम कुछ देर तक बात करते रहे तभी कुछ ही देर में हमारे शिक्षक क्लास रूम में प्रवेश हुए तो हम सभी खड़े हो गए और उनके बैठने पर हम सभी बैठ गए।

उन्होंने सभी के नाम अपने रजिस्टर में से बोले लेकिन मेरा नाम सर ने नहीं बोला तभी सर ने रजिस्टर बंद कर दिया और मैं खड़ा हो गया मैंने कहा सर मेरा नाम नहीं बोला आपने तभी सर ने कहा क्या नाम है तुम्हारा? मैंने अपना नाम बताया उन्होंने अपने रजिस्टर में चेक किया लेकिन मेरा नाम नहीं था उन्होंने मेरा नाम लिखा और एक और रजिस्टर रखकर हम सभी के बारे में विस्तारपूर्वक जाना।

अब हम एक दूसरे से परिचित हो चुके थे मुझे खुशी हुई कि हमारे शहर से भी 5 लड़के और 2 लड़कियां भी पढ़ाई करने के लिए आई हुई हैं वह भी बहुत खुश हैं मैंने उन सभी से मुलाकात की। पहले दिन ही मेरे अपने दोस्तों के अलावा और भी चार पांच दोस्त बन चुके थे मुझे अपने कॉलेज का दिन बहुत ही भाया। शाम 4:00 बजे मैं अपने कॉलेज से वापस अपने घर आ गया लेकिन कॉलेज का मेरा पहला दिन मुझे बार-बार याद आता रहा।

रुपरेखा : प्रस्तावना - पाठशाला का विवरण - पाठशाला में प्रथम दिन - सहपाठियों का विवरण - उपसंहार।

जब कोई व्यक्ति किसी अज्ञात जगह पर जाता है या किसी अपरिचित व्यक्ति से मिलता है, तब उसे बहुत-सी शंकाएँ रहती हैं। उसी प्रकार, जब हम किसी नए पाठशाला में जाते हैं, तो हमारा मन शंकाओं और प्रश्नों से भरा रहता है। हम बहुत घबराए रहते हैं। हम नए शिक्षकों और सहपाठियों के बारे में जानने को उत्सुक रहते हैं। नए पाठशाला में मेरा पहला दिन मुझे अभी तक याद है। मैं दसवीं वर्ग में था। मैं माध्यमिक पाठशाला से उच्च माध्यमिक पाठशाला में जा रहा था।

पाठशाला में मेरा पहले दिन का अनुभव उस समय का है जब मेंने आठवीं कक्षा पास कर ली थी। मेरा रिजेल्ट बहुत ही अच्छा था मैंने प्रथम श्रेणी में पास कर लिया था। इसलिए मुझे शहर के एक अच्छे पाठशाला में प्रवेश लेने का अवसर प्राप्त हुआ। मेरे परिवार सहित सभी पास पड़ोस ओर रिश्तेदारों ने अपनी-अपनी सलाह ओर सुझाव प्रदान किये। सबके सुझाव सुनकर मेरे पापा ने मुझे एक अच्छे पाठशाला में मेरा प्रवेश करवा दिया। पाठशाला में प्रवेश के बाद मेरा प्रवेश पत्र भरकर जमा करवा दिया। कुछ दिनों बाद प्रवेश-सूची निकाली गई। और पहली सूची में ही मेरा नाम आ गया था। ये देखकर में बहुत खुश हुई। शुल्क, आदि जमा करने के बाद में अपने पठन-पाठन के लिए निश्चित समय पर पाठशाला के लिए घर से चल पड़ा।

जब मैंने अपने नए पाठशाला के द्वार में प्रवेश किया, मैं चकित रह गया। इसका परिसर आकार में विशाल था। पाठशाला-भवन बहुत सुंदर था। मैंने अपनी कक्षा को ढूँढ़ा और अंदर गया। अधिकतर सीटें भरी हुई थीं। मैंने देखा कि आखिरी बेंच खाली था और वहाँ बैठ गया। मेरे सभी सहपाठी मुझे अनभिज्ञ ढंग से घूर रहे थे। कुछ देर बाद हमलोग सुबह की सभा के लिए पाठशाला के खेल-मैदान में गए। वहाँ एक सामूहिक प्रार्थना हुई। उसके बाद प्राचार्य ने नए विद्यार्थियों को सम्बोधित करते हुए उन्हें अनुशासन के महत्त्व से अवगत कराया।

हमारी वर्ग-शिक्षिका पहली घंटी में वर्ग में आईं। उन्होंने पूरी कक्षा से मेरा परिचय कराया। उन्होंने मेरे पूर्व पाठशाला एवं परीक्षाफल के बारे में पूछा। इसी तरह चार घंटियाँ बीत गईं। मेरे कुछ सहपाठी मुझसे बात करने आए। हमलोग मध्यावकाश के दौरान बाहर गए । तब-तक मैंने कुछ मित्र बना लिए थे। मैंने उनलोगों के साथ अपना मध्याह्न भोजन साझा किया। उन्होंने मुझे पाठशाला का पुस्तकालय, विज्ञान प्रयोगशाला और इन्डोर स्टेडियम दिखाया। उन्होंने मुझे पाठशाला के कुछ अन्य शिक्षकों के बारे में भी बताया। मैंने उनसे कुछ 'नोट्स' लिए। उन्होंने मेरे पाठ्यक्रम को पूरा करने में मुझे मदद करने का वादा किया। कुछ शरारती छात्रों ने मेरे साथ शरारत करने की कोशिश की। वह अनुभव भी अच्छा था। पाठशाला का प्रथम दिन होने के कारण मध्यावकाश के बाद पढ़ाई नहीं हुई । बच्चे खेलने लगे । मैंने खेल घर में जाकर कैरम बोर्ड और चैस खेला। खेल खेलते हुए मुझे बहुत आनंद आया । फिर छुट्‌टी की घंटी बजी । बच्चों ने बस्ता सँभाला और आपस में बातें करते हुए घर की ओर चले ।

इस प्रकार पाठशाला का प्रथम दिन नए पाठशाला को जानने तथा शिक्षकों एवं सहपाठियों से परिचय प्राप्त करने में बीता । कई नए अनुभव प्राप्त हुए । कई नए मित्र बनाए। नए मित्रों के साथ खेल खेले। फिर मित्र के साथ बातें करते-करते घर लौटे। घर लौटकर माँ, पिताजी और भाई के साथ अपने अनुभव बाँटे । मेरे सभी सहपाठी अच्छे थे। मैंने अपने नए पाठशाला में पहले दिन का बहुत आनंद लिया। कभी-कभी मुझे आज भी उस दिन की याद आती है।

दिवाली के पावन अवसर पर धन की देवी माँ लक्ष्मी, विघ्नहर्ता गणेश जी व कुबेर जी की विधि-विधान से पूजा करने का विशेष महत्व माना गया है। लक्ष्मी पूजन प्रदोष काल में करने को सर्वाधिक फलदायक माना जाता है। इसके अलावा प्रदोष काल के दौरान स्थिर लग्न में लक्ष्मी पूजन विशेष फलदायक होता है। ऐसी मान्यता है कि स्थिर लग्न में की गई अपनी पूजा-आराधना से प्रसन्न होकर माता लक्ष्मी आराधक के घर में निवास करने लगती हैं। वर्ष 2024 में दीपावली का पर्व 31 अक्टूबर को मनाया जाएगा। हालांकि कुछ प्रदेशों में एक नवंबर को भी दीवाली मनाई जाएगी। साल 2023 में दिवाली के अवसर पर 12 नवंबर को लक्ष्मी पूजन मुहूर्त गृहस्थजनों के लिए सायं 05:41 मिनट से रात 07:37 मिनट तक है। लक्ष्मी पूजन मुहूर्त की कुल अवधि लगभग 01 घंटे 55 मिनट रहेगी। वहीं साल 2022 में, 24 अक्टूबर को दिवाली का त्योहार देश भर में मनाया गया था।

दीपावली त्योहार की तैयारी: दीपावली त्योहार की तैयारियां दिवाली से कई दिनों पहले ही आरंभ हो जाती है। दीपावली के कई दिनों पहले से ही लोग अपने घरों की साफ-सफाई व रंगाई-पुताई करने में जुट जाते हैं क्योंकि ऐसी मान्यता है कि जो घर साफ-सुथरे होते हैं, उन घरों में दिवाली के दिन माँ लक्ष्मी विराजमान होती हैं तथा अपना आशिर्वाद प्रदान करके वहां सुख-समृद्धि में बढ़ोतरी करती हैं। दिवाली के नजदीक आते ही लोग अपने घरों को दीपक और तरह-तरह के लाइट्स से सजाना शुरू कर देते हैं।

दिवाली में पटाखों का महत्व: दीपावली को "रोशनी का त्योहार - प्रकाश पर्व" कहा जाता है। इस दिन लोग मिट्टी के बने दीपक जलाते हैं और अपने घरों को विभिन्न रंगों और प्रकारों की रोशनी से सजाते हैं, जिसे देखकर कोई भी मंत्रमुग्ध हो सकता है। इस पर्व में बच्चों को पटाखे जलाना और विभिन्न तरह के आतिशबाजी जैसे फुलझड़ियां, रॉकेट, फव्वारे, चक्री आदि बहुत पसंद होते हैं।

दिवाली का इतिहास : हिंदू मान्यताओं के अनुसार, दिवाली के दिन ही भगवान श्री राम 14 वर्षों के वनवास के बाद अपनी पत्नी सीता, भाई लक्ष्मण और उनके उत्साही भक्त हनुमान के साथ अयोध्या लौटे थे, अमावस्या की रात होने के कारण दिवाली के दिन काफी अंधेरा होता है, जिस वजह से उस दिन पूरे अयोध्या को दीपों और फूलों से भगवान श्री राम चंद्र के लिए सजाया गया था, ताकि भगवान राम के आगमन में कोई परेशानी न हो, तब से लेकर आज तक इसे दीपों का त्योहार और अंधेरे पर प्रकाश की जीत के रूप में मनाया जाता है।

इस शुभ अवसर पर, बाजारों में भगवान गणेश जी, लक्ष्मी जी, राम जी आदि की मूर्तियों की खरीदारी की जाती है। इस दौरान बाजारों में खूब चहल-पहल होती है। लोग इस अवसर पर नए कपड़े, बर्तन, मिठाइयां आदि खरीदते है। हिंदुओं द्वारा देवी लक्ष्मी की पूजा की जाती है, क्योंकि व्यापारी दिवाली के पर्व पर नए बहीखाते की शुरुआत करते हैं। साथ ही, लोगों का मानना है कि यह खूबसूरत त्योहार सभी के लिए धन, समृद्धि और सफलता लाता है। लोग दिवाली के त्योहार के अवसर पर अपने परिवार, दोस्तों और रिश्तेदारों के साथ उपहारों का आदान-प्रदान करने के लिए तत्पर रहते हैं।

• दीपावली का त्योहार लगभग 5 दिनों का होता है। जिस के पहले दिन धनतेरस होता है। धनतेरस के दिन लोग धातु की वस्तुएं जैसे सोने और चांदी के आभूषण को खरीद कर अपने घर जरूर लेकर जाते हैं।
• दीपावली का दूसरा दिन नरक चतुर्थी के रूप में मनाया जाता है। कुछ लोग इस दिन को छोटी दिवाली के रूप में भी मनाते हैं।
• तीसरा दिन दीपावली त्योहार का मुख्य दिन होता है। इस दिन देवी महालक्ष्मी और भगवान गणेश जी की पूजा की जाती है।
• दीपावली के चौथे दिन गोवर्धन पूजा की जाती है क्योंकि इस दिन भगवान कृष्ण ने इंद्र के क्रोध से हुई मूसलाधार वर्षा से लोगों को बचाने के लिए गोवर्धन पर्वत को अपनी एक उंगली पर उठा लिया था।
