I’m a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon practicing in Manhattan + Monmouth County, NJ. I started my private practice, Parcells Plastic Surgery and founded Sunnie Skincare, a clean medical-grade skincare brand.

Mark Yazid, MD

Dr. Mark Yazid is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with special interest in cosmetic surgery of the  breast and body, hand reconstruction, microsurgery, and sternal reconstruction. He is board certified in  general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and board eligible in plastic surgery.     Dr. Yazid received bachelor's degrees in cellular and molecular biology and environmental science from  Johns Hopkins University. Throughout this time, he developed an interest in the medical field and was  selected to the Tri Beta Honor Society, achieved the Dean of Student Life award, and graduated with  university-wide and department honors.     Following this, Dr. Yazid pursued a year of academic research at Johns Hopkins Medical Center  investigating novel genetic pancreatic cancer treatments. He sequentially attended medical school at  Pennsylvania State College of Medicine. During his rotations, Dr. Yazid fell in love with the field of  surgery and went on to complete his general surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center in  Dallas, Texas. Dr. Yazid’s experience with two Level 1 trauma centers exposed him to an extensive  variety of complex pathologies and treatments. Seeing the significant chronic burden that injury from  trauma and disease left his patients in, Dr. Yazid was inspired to obtain further training at Houston  Methodist Hospital for a career in plastic and reconstructive surgery.    During his time at Houston Methodist Hospital, Dr. Yazid learned all aspects of complex tissue  reconstruction, including microsurgical free tissue transfers, along with the most advanced procedures  for cosmetic surgical interventions. He was also able to complete rotations at Texas Children’s Hospital,  where he was exposed to congenital pediatric surgical reconstruction, and Memorial Hermann Trauma  Center, where he established a special fascination for hand and upper extremity surgery. Dr. Yazid then  took this passion and honed his training with an extra year in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular  surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. There, he learned the most advanced  treatments in upper extremity surgery, microvascular replantation, and peripheral nerve surgery from  leaders in plastic and orthopedic surgery.     Dr. Yazid has a research interest in quality improvement initiatives for medical care, medicine  technology, peripheral nerve surgery, and graduate medical education initiatives for students and  residents. He also has a unique interest in academic ethics, professionalism, and bioethics, which he has  been part of since his time as an undergraduate student, ranging from the local hospital committee level  to the national leadership level. He has helped publish many manuscripts for peer review and spoken at  both local and national meetings for his research. Dr. Yazid looks forward to providing state-of-the-art  cosmetic, reconstructive, and hand surgery care for his patients. In his free time, Dr. Yazid enjoys outdoor activities, including scuba diving, biking, hiking, and rock climbing, as well as cooking. Dr. Yazid also speaks fluent French.

Double Board Certification

Dr. Gundlapalli is a double board-certified Surgeon. He is certified by American Board of Surgery (ABS) as a General Surgeon. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) as a Board-certified Plastic surgeon. Some surgeons refer to themselves as "board certified," even though they have not been certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The ABPS is the only board sanctioned by the American Board of Medical Specialties. The ABPS requires more extensive training and has more rigorous standards than other boards that offer certification for "cosmetic" surgeons.

He is a member of American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). He is a candidate member of the Aesthetic Society. He is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA), the American College of Surgery (ACS), the International College of Surgery (ICS), and the New Jersey Plastic Surgery Society, South Carolina Medical Association. Dr. Gundlapalli currently operates at several area hospitals, including Inspira Medical Center (Vineland, Mullica Hill, Elmer).

Education & Training

Dr. Gundlapalli's background includes earning advanced degrees in India, the U.K., and the U.S. In 2003, he earned a medical degree from BLDE University's Shri B M Patil Medical College in his home country of India. Dr. Gundlapalli then completed his basic surgical training and in 2007 gained membership in the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, UK.

After moving to the U.S., Dr. Gundlapalli embarked on a 1-year surgical training program at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University in 2009. He then completed a 5-year general surgery residency at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Philadelphia, graduating as Chief Resident. Before joining American Surgical Arts in July 2017, Dr. Gundlapalli graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina as Chief Resident in plastic surgery.

Kimberly is a Florida native and a board-certified nurse practitioner. She has been a nurse practitioner since 2016 and has worked in the plastic surgery and aesthetic fields for over ten years. She has received certification and training in injectables, as well as a variety of other medical-grade aesthetic and body sculpting devices and lasers. Her passion lies in enhancing her patients' natural beauty with natural-looking results.

In addition to her work, Kimberly enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her husband and dog. As a healthcare provider, she is committed to providing personalized care and building long-lasting relationships with her patients. With her extensive experience and dedication to her craft, Kimberly is an excellent choice for those looking to enhance their natural beauty with a trusted medical professional.

Shirlee has been working with Dr DiBernardo since 1992. She has assisted Dr DiBernardo with hair transplant surgery in Germany and Canada, and has served both on the medical and administrative capacity of the practice. Shirlee truly loves going to work every day and assisting patients in making their aesthetic dreams become reality. She will assist you with your initial consultation and financial planning for your procedure, ensuring that all of your questions are answered and all of your expectations are addressed. In her spare time, Shirlee is busy with her family, her lab and can be found at all of the Miami Dolphin home games.

Paola has a management background in communication sales, the aesthetic industry and hospitality. Her solid experience in the hospitality industry along with her outgoing and friendly personality provides a welcoming experience with the growing demands of a busy and diverse patient base. Paola’s strong communication skills, calm and pleasant demeanor shines through the minute you meet her. She is our point person and is responsible for greeting, scheduling and registering our patients, along with arranging special and individualized extra services tailored specifically for you. Paola is always happy to see you!

Gina is a kind and compassionate medical assistant who has worked in Plastic Surgery for over 22 years. She has a passion for helping and caring for people. She is happily married and has a son that she adores! She enjoys reading, puzzles, boating and the great outdoors. You may see Gina assisting during consultations and post op visits in our office.
