A twenty four lesson unit of work based on fractions for Year 6. Included are all the required PowerPoints that also include arithmetic starters. Each lesson/ double lesson has a worksheet activity that includes the answers as well as challenge activities for those that are confident to deepen their understanding. Lesson 1 and 2 - Finding fractions of amounts Lesson 3 and 4 - Finding the whole from a fraction of an amount Lesson 5 and 6 - Simplifying fractions Lesson 7 - Comparing by numerators Lesson 8 and 9 - Comparing by denominators Lesson 10 and 11 - Adding and subtracting fractions with common multiple denominators Lesson 12, 13 and 14 - Adding and subtracting fractions with non-common multiple denominators Lesson 15 and 16 - Adding mixed number fractions Lesson 17 and 18 - Subtracting mixed number fractions Lesson 19 and 20 - Multiplying fractions by whole numbers Lesson 21 and 22 - Multiplying fractions together Lesson 23 and 24 - Dividing fractions by whole numbers
