Introduction:

My dream to become a Soldier started on an Army Day (January 15th), when I was still in High School. I witnessed the tribute paid to martyred soldiers at the Amar Jawan Jyoti in India Gate. It was followed by parades displaying Tanks, Missiles, and War Helicopters etc. The impression I received that day motivates me to realise my dream to become a Soldier.

Love of a Soldier:

The history of Indian independence and the life of freedom fighters has always fascinated me. Those who were responsible for the air of freedom we breathe today, loved our motherland and dedicated their lives to its well-being. These seeds in me have developed a sense of love for the country. It has also nurtured my dream to become a soldier and safeguard it.

Spirit of a Soldier:

Apart from academics, I started to collect all details about how to realise my dream to become a Soldier. I began to understand the values that inspire a Soldier to willingly face challenges and responsibly safeguard the nation even at the cost of his own life. This inspired me to study well and keep myself fit to achieve my dream to become a Soldier.

Training of a Soldier:

I also understood about the training before service. The feeling of pride and mutual loyalty is imbibed among the trainees. They are also trained to willing sacrifice for the country’s honour, with a do or die spirit. A sense of fearlessness, fairness and honesty are inculcated during the disciplined training. These components further kindled my dream to become a Soldier.

Lifestyle of a Soldier:

On the one hand, the soldier’s life is a life of self-sacrifice. On the other hand, the lifestyle it offers far exceeds my expectation, and fuels my dream to become a Soldier. Opportunities to advance in ranks, paid study holidays, subsidized housing, free medical coverage and recreational facilities are provided, apart from regular salary and perks. Lifelong pension is awarded after retirement.

Conclusion:

Many young people in the country offer the time of their life to work for big Corporates. But, I am here to pursue my dream to become a Soldier and dedicate my life to the welfare of the nation. I often encourage my friends to follow my dream to become a Soldier, at least for a short service tenure ranging from 10 to 14 years.

At a very early age, my dream was to do something big in life. But along with that I still had some fears also. I want to have a successful career, and for this, I had set an aim. It is quite essential for everybody to get them to establish professionally and successfully. Besides this, few other dreams are also necessary for me like health, relationships, and many different aspects of life. However, I also fear to get fail in achieving all these targets.

Career Dream and Fear:

When I was a kid, my dream was to become a doctor. But during my growing age, the Bollywood industry fascinated me and then my dream of becoming doctor changed to an actor. When I passed my class 12 th , the only goal that hit my mind was becoming an engineer. I always fear of dreaming about big things, but if you have potential then, you can achieve anything in life.

Dream and Fear of Health and Fitness:

When I was young, I was not so much concerned about my health. But now I realized the importance of having good health. My dream of becoming fit and healthy was only achieved due to strong willpower and eagerness of doing regular exercise. With this thought, I managed to lose around 15 kg easily. Now, I don’t fear about eating any food as I compensate that with my daily workout.

Dreams and fear about the relationship:

There is a special place of relationships in my life, and sometimes I fear about losing the important people in my life. But, now I realize that instead of thinking negative, we should try to spend more time with the people. It is as essential as my dream of good career.

Thinking only about the career and success with the little amount of fear might not offer you complete happiness later. It is good to become serious about your career, but you should also try to overcome any fear for a more successful life ahead.

Life is a dynamic process that has its ups and downs. Juggling the disparities of life can be very stressful at times and that is why you get your mind wondering in thoughts. Most thoughts are usually based on what people desire, which we call the dream life. The desires in life may not always be achieved but it is good to have a picture or at least an idea of the kind of life on desires to have. In America, people have the American dream but you as an individual should ask yourself; what is your dream life?

How my dream life looks like:

Socially, I have always imagined myself being a very influential person in my society. Currently in school, I always have the urge to influence someone but I still lack the confidence and resources to do so. I have always wanted to travel the world and explore different cultures of the world through interactions with people. I also imagine of having a great family with whom I can travel the world with.

Career-wise, I want to work at the comfort of my own home and be flexible so that I can always have time for my family. Spiritually, I have a desire to always be in good terms with God and follow the doctrines of my religion.

Economically, I want to be self-actualized at an early age so that I can focus on my influential personality, having all the resources I need. I want to be satisfied with what I will have achieved and work on living a happy life.

How I plan on living my dream life?

Living the dream life can begin any time that you chose to be as an individual. For my dream life, the things that I can achieve while still at school is the ability to have a spiritual wellness and flowing the doctrines of my religion. I can also start learning to appreciate whatever I have and living a happy life.

For the desires that I cannot achieve at the moment, I will work towards achieving them by shaping and redirecting the pathway. For example, my career, I will pursue something in the university that will allow me to work from home without necessarily going to work.

A dream life is basically the desired of one’s heart inform of an imagination. A dream life does not affect the reality in any way.

A dream is something that helps you to mold your future and aim your life to an appropriate goal. Dreaming big will help us to work for it harder and finally achieve it. Without desire and aim in life, we cannot focus and work hard to fulfill our dream.

My Dream to become a Doctor:

The biggest dream of my life is to become a doctor. I have seen many doctors, who save other people’s lives and they feel happy in the satisfaction they get through this activity. I want to be a doctor, who will serve good for this society and help poor to get good medical care without expecting big money in return.

Doctors are respected in all places and among all types of society. In spite of being different in many things like wealth, religion, etc., everyone will be in need of the best doctor to treat them honestly. I dream of being one such doctor to whom anyone can come without any doubt and fear of being tricked.

I don’t want to be a doctor who just works for money. I want to help others who can’t afford big budget treatments and choose their fate due to their lack of money. When a person is cured of their illness, the smile that appears on their face will be the greatest reward I will ever get. My dream is to become a doctor, who is praised for the kindness and get rewards through others blessings.

How to become a Doctor?

To get the admissions in a medical seat is not that easy. But I will work hard and crack the competitive exam to get a merit seat in the college. I will work hard from the beginning to end to improve my knowledge and keep updated about every upcoming and ongoing development.

I would like to choose the specialization when I can actually decide which one will suit my desire. I have an aim to serve the people in their needs and once I grow big enough to decide the correct career to fulfill my dream, I will work harder to achieve that as well.

After achieving My Dream:

Once I complete my whole medical courses I would be looking to practice in a well-reputed hospital to perfect my job. With this perfection I will start my own clinic and serve people for the rest of my life along with this I will help other students also to get trained to become a good doctor. I will make sure that my dream will come true at the best time.

We all have some sort of ambition or dream. My dream is to become a world class chef. Dreams play a very important role in moulding our future. There is a saying that “if you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it”. This saying implies that if you can work hard and put in your best to achieving your dream, it is very possible to live your dream. Working hard to achieve ones dream is easier said than done but if you put in your best effort and never give up, dreams are achievable.

In the path of achieving my dream, it is important that I take one step at a time. Even if I have a very big dream of becoming a word class chef, it is best for me to take steady and small steps by setting both long term and short term goals, by doing this, I am always working towards achieving my dream. When I take one step at a time, it helps not to rush into decisions and take things easy.

I know becoming a world class chef is not very easy and can only happen if complete and proper training from a very reputable institute and there isn’t much I can do at the moment to speed up the realisation of my dream since I am still in school. However, I still do my best to set my dream rolling, I follow a lot of cooking websites and blogs, watch cooking shows, read culinary books and I practice my cooking to sharpen my skills every time. These are all little steps I am taking towards achieving my dream. Though my goal is to become a world class chef, I have small goals in place for each month and year to come so that I can reach my dream.

A major hindrance to achieving my set goals and my dream is the lack of inadequacy of motivation. A lot of people have given up their goals and dreams just because they got tired on the way. It is extremely important to remain motivated and only stop is when the dream has been achieved. Highlighted below are some useful tips that I have used to keep myself motivated on the journey to reaching my dream:

i. Anytime I see that I am running out of drive and energy and I am becoming too tired to stick to my set goals, I try to remind myself of what my dream is and the feeling of pride and joy I will experience when I achieve it and become a world class chef. It feels like pressing a reset button and starting with a refreshed mind again and working harder towards achieving my dream.

ii. Long term goals and short term goals are set towards the ultimate goal of achieving my dream and as I reach these short term goals, I try to reward myself for my achievement. The reward can vary from eating dinner at my favourite restaurant or buying myself a new phone I wanted or going out with my friends. Rewarding myself is a very good way to remain motivated towards the achievements of my goals and ultimately my dream.

iii. When I work too much and have no time to relax and play, my productivity drops and I become dull. Therefore, it is a good idea to have some time for myself away from work to focus on something fun that I love. I find time in my schedule every day to engage in some form of leisure activity or sport.

iv. Having people who believes in my dream and support my goals around me makes all the difference. Having positive people helps me find the strength and courage to push on and not give up on my dream. They motivate me to work hard and do the best to achieve my goals and my dream.

v. A mistake is nothing more than an experience and an opportunity to try again and do things much better. So, instead of getting heartbroken and disheartened to the point of wanting to give up on my goals and dream when I face a tough time or make mistakes, I learn from the mistakes and move on as the tough times and mistakes make me a lot stronger.

I will keep working hard towards achieving my dream and I believe that I will become a world class chef one day.

Who in this world does not have a dream? A dream to buy a car, a dream to be a scientist, a dream to do something for the society, or just a dream to live a life with contentment. Something or the other, but surely every person has a dream. It is this dream that drives you to work hard, achieve your milestones and ride towards success in your life. Success need not be becoming the wealthiest person on the earth. Achieving even your smallest dream can be a huge success for you. Since childhood, you come across various fields which often you think of as your ultimate targets. However, most of them are just fantasies and fade away with time. Still, there are some things which just stick on to your minds and these very things eventually go on to be your dreams.

My Dream – My Passion:

Like others, even I have a dream. My dream is to join the intelligence unit of the country and serve my country with pride. Usually, in order to serve the country, people think of joining the armed forces. However, I have a different point of view. I dream to join the intelligence unit and provide inputs to these armed forces so that they can protect the country in a good way and not many lives are lost fight battles with our neighbours.

Where did it all start?

Since my childhood, I have been fascinated by the role of intelligence and the methods of work they are used to. I had got a chance to be with a couple of people early in my life who were in the same field and it is from here that I got so much stuck up with this profession that I have dreamt day and night to be a part of this elite team. Moreover, I feel that I have it in me to research about things as well as people and am known in my circles to extract information from nowhere. I feel that this talent of mine can prove helpful for the country as well. Intelligence plays a crucial role in the security establishment of the country. The inputs gathered from intelligence units help the government and the forces to plan their steps both at diplomatic and at the level of securing the borders.

Another thing which excites me about this dream is that it is not a conventional field such as common occupations which are sought after by most of the youth of our country. Another very important thing to mention here that you need not formally join the intelligence to realise this dream. By keeping a check on your surroundings and providing proper information to the police in case you notice an unfavourable incident is also a form of your contribution to the security agencies of the country. If everyone remains active, a lot many incidents such as terrorist attacks can be averted.

Why having a dream is so important?

Dreams are very important for everyone. Without dreams, there will be no desire to pursue. There will be no objective to reach. We will all be nothing without dreams. Not having dreams resembles pursuing a traceless homicide. It resembles following an undetectable shadow. It is a loathsome goose pursue. We should comprehend what we need to do and pursue that desire.

A great many people have dreams. Successful ones or little ones. Indeed, even the best individuals had dreams and that is the thing that has made them what they are today. Envisioning is basic for a person. Without dreams, you will lose enthusiasm forever lastly prefer not to live. You will be exhausted and tired of the equivalent dull schedules of your everyday life and won’t discover an enthusiasm for the most energizing things. Just with dreams, will you discover a reason to carry on with your life? You will begin buckling down towards the fantasy and will never lose enthusiasm forever. You will never tire and dependably be spurred. This is the most ideal approach to end up effective. So, dream and dream big. It is the only way to achieve contentment in life.

Be that as it may, with dreams, comes extraordinary duty. It is not just sufficient to dream and disregard that fantasy. Numerous individuals dream, however just some wake up and work for it.

It is basic to buckle down for your fantasies. Without this diligent work, a fantasy will just remain a craving in the subliminal personality and will never be accomplished.

On the off chance that you don’t have a fantasy, you can never appreciate the extravagances of life or all that life brings to the table. You will never feel that delighted sentiment of accomplishment. You will never get pride in what you do and what you have accomplished. Every one of these things is vital for people and without these emotions, there is no inspiration.

In the event that you don’t have inspiration, you will be a disappointment throughout everyday life. You won’t have the capacity to accomplish those objectives and will have a hopeless existence. You will never appreciate the extravagances of life and you will never feel glad. You will be a disappointment and you will be nothing throughout everyday life. We should go that additional mile to achieve our objectives. Disappointments may come, however a state of mind to continue proceeding onward and attempting to enhance is completely accomplished by dreams. Dreams are the fuel that continues invigorating you to go further. Regardless of whether there are numerous snags throughout everyday life, you will, in general, continue moving further and attempting to be superior to anything your identity. Consistent and endless enhancement is extremely imperative in advancing throughout everyday life. It improves your identity and furthermore whatever you need to advance in. It causes you to gain from your missteps

Only having career objectives and succeeding professionally can disregard you after one point throughout everyday life. Work as constantly to accomplish these as you do to understand your ultimate dreams. Having a dream is not important. What is important is striving continuously to achieving it. The sense of satisfaction you acquire once you have attained your goals cannot be explained in words and has no alternative in life. So, strive hard and live your dreams. Who knows, what is there in store for you?

Dreams Don't Come True, They Are True

Dreams tell you what you really know..

Posted April 20, 2016 | Reviewed by Lybi Ma

  • A person's unconscious mind contains an image of the way they are supposed to be, and continually works toward expressing this potential.
  • Dreams help fine-tune a person's direction and reveal unfinished business.
  • One can work directly with dreams by asking for guidance before going to sleep and asking specific questions.

Some years ago, a Johns Hopkins University study found that pregnant women who had an intuition about the sex of their baby were correct 70% of the time—but women who had a dream about the sex of their baby were correct 100% of the time!

We have access to very deep knowledge in there, and we’re sleeping through it most of the time.

Dreams never lie

Dreams tell you what you really know about something, what you really feel . They point you toward what you need for growth, integration, expression, and the health of your relationships to person, place, and thing. They can help you fine-tune your direction and show you your unfinished business. They’re meaning machines. And they never lie. Author Tom Robbins once said that dreams don’t come true; they are true. When we talk about our dreams coming true, we’re talking about our ambitions.

Dreaming is ultimately about awakening. The unconscious , from which dreams bubble up, seems to contain an image of the way you’re supposed to be, and continually works toward the expression of this potential, day and night. It often knows things about which you’re otherwise in the dark, things which in the broad daylight of consciousness remain invisible, just as the stars play to an empty house during the day when the sun is shining. Some things can only be seen when it’s dark. Trying to solve your problems or make your way or get a grip on your priorities without the information that dreams provide is like being a judge with only half the facts of a case.

To ignore dreams is to tear out pages from your own unfolding story, which winds right on through the night shift, and cut yourself off from that place from which passions and callings emanate. Most spiritual traditions clearly regard dreams as revelations from the gods and goddesses and consider the act of separating the waking life from the dreaming, the conscious from the unconscious, as not unlike separating a plant from its roots.

Dreaming is metaphoric communication

The Jungian author James Hillman has written, “When I ask, ‘Where is my soul, how do I meet it, what does it want now?’ the answer is, turn to your images.’” By which he primarily means dreams and art, since both speak a visual language. So if you want a homing beacon to help you know your soul and navigate your life, you can't do much better than turning to your dreams.

For one thing, they're masterpieces of metaphoric communication:

  • You’re trying to decide between following passion or security, and dream of throwing a rock through the window of a bank, and then burying your briefcase in the backyard.
  • You’re following a call toward a very public life, and don’t realize your true feelings about sacrificing privacy until an anxiety dream shows the island you live on being towed toward the mainland.
  • Someone with whom you’re considering teaming up appears in a dream wearing costume jewelry and fake leather shoes.
  • You’re postponing an important decision, and dream of “missing the boat.”
  • You’re unsure whether you have the ability to handle what seems like an impossible task but then have a flying dream.
  • In the weeks prior to losing a job early in my journalism career , one I was hanging onto primarily for security and status, my dreams were splitting at the seams with portents of how I really felt about trading off integrity for comfort and a dollop of renown. And though I faithfully recorded them in my dream journal, I did absolutely nothing about interpreting them. At some level, I didn't want to know what they had to tell me. Which is another way of saying I knew what they had to tell me.
  • In one dream, I was handed a stack of hundred-dollar bills and later discovered that I’d been cheated: Only the top bill was a one-hundred; the rest were ones. In another, I lost my wallet with all my identification cards in it. In another, I found a golden calf, deformed and chained to the ground. In yet another, I was invited to the boss’ estate for an extravagant pool party, but the pool was empty.

This is not exactly rocket science. The meaning of these dreams couldn’t have been more obvious if it was tattooed across the bridge of my nose. I was being invited to take a good look at what I was doing at that job, how I felt about being there, and because I didn’t want to look, the sudden loss of the job—the official reason, appropriately, was that “there isn’t a fit”—came as a complete shock to me when it shouldn’t have.

Dreamwork and avoidance

Contrary to the rationalist hooey that dreams aren’t real (“You’re just dreaming”), dreams are very much real. They convey real information, real impact, real emotions, and have real consequences if ignored. If you don’t honor your dreams, you’ll at the least dream them until you do, or the unconscious will “dream up” other channels for their messages to come through, such as symptoms, neuroses, and compulsions. As with anything you avoid, the more you ignore dreams, the more insistent they become.

A tribe in Malaysia called the Senoi puts great stock in their dreams and gathers each morning to share them. When they dream of being chased, they assume that whatever is chasing them is an ally rather than enemy, and so turn and face their pursuer to inquire what the chase is all about, what the message might be that the pursuer bears.

essay a dream that came true

This is the heart of dreamwork, of revealing the nature of the calls whose fins break the surface in your dreams, of deciphering the messages they bring. The challenge lies in turning around and facing whatever is there, rather than running from it. The fact is, there’s gold in them thar hills, but it takes some nerve to study your dreams, the same nerve it takes to examine a firecracker that didn’t go off.

This certainly helps explain why dream recall is such a slippery affair. A part of us doesn’t want to remember them, because of the messages they bear, the things they reveal, the directions they point us. The truth may set you free, but there’s an even chance that first, it will scare the daylights out of you.

Dream interpretations

As for the dream material itself, some of it is like junk mail, only a small percentage being truly useful and worth slogging through. Some of it also comes in such a crazy mambo of images, vignettes, metaphors, and other psychic ephemera, that trying to make any sense of it is like running down the street trying to grab the loose papers of a manuscript the wind has snatched out of your hands.

But don’t necessarily run with the first interpretation that comes to you. Brainstorm all associations you can conjure about the dream images or events, especially the most potent one in the dream. What words, ideas, people, memories and feelings does it remind you of? Then go with the one that elicits the most energy from you, that has the most oomph .

Avoid a dream-dictionary, this-means-that approach to interpretation. Dreams are far too subjective for that. Water, for instance, will mean something very different to someone who almost drowned as a kid than to someone who feels more at home in water than the fishes.

Since most dreams (though not all) seem to relate to something happening in present time, ask what, if anything, the dream ties into in your life right now. Where have you seen this particular scenario playing itself out lately? What is it trying to tell you? What is its central message? If you dream of flying, falling, conquering foes, being unable to find something, having extraordinary powers, being chased, ask how these may be symbolic of aspects of your life. But check the physical world first, before settling on an interpretation. If you dream your car loses its brakes, check your brakes. If nothing shows up, check where in your life you perhaps feel unable to stop, out of control.

Dreams and your attention

It isn’t even necessary, though, to understand dreams or mine them for meaning, writes Thomas Moore in Care of the Soul . Merely giving your attention to them, granting them their autonomy and mystery, goes a long way toward opening the portals and shifting from analysis to responsiveness. In fact, what largely determines whether you recall dreams at all is simply the amount of interest you pay them.

Not only do dreams respond to attention, but they also respond to direct requests. In other words, you don’t have to wait around for them to appear. You can draw them to you by petition. You can bargain with them. If you get in the habit of asking for dream guidance as you’re dropping off to sleep, dreams will fairly beat a path to your door. Just be prepared to take dictation: keep a pad and pen by the bedside, or a tape recorder. Promise yourself that if you're sent a dream, you’ll write it down upon waking, even if that’s at 3 a.m. Prompt them with specific questions. Ask for directions. Ask for clues. Ask what your next step should be. Ask for clarification of last night’s dream.

Just get to your dreams before the world does. Write them down before you even get out of bed, because the moment your feet hit the floor, you literally ground yourself, and the lightning energy of dreams disappears into the earth.

Finally, consider conducting a ritual to help concretize a dream, bringing it out of dream-state and into waking life, from the abstract down into your muscles, emotions, and physical life. A ritual is an enactment of the dream message, of whatever change the dream is calling for. It’s a way of taking a small step in that direction, making an outward sign of an inward intention. It’s a little rite of passage.

There’s an old tradition in the Christian Church that one hadn’t prayed unless one’s lips had moved. It expresses the psychological truth that something physical has to happen to establish that you mean business, that your devotion to growth is real and not merely a high opinion you have of yourself.

If you dream of the necessity of choosing passion over security, for instance, you might ritually burn a one-dollar bill, while entreating the gods of courage. If a dream points to the need to make a break with tradition, take a stick of wood and break it in two. If your dream shows you flying over obstacles, set up a series of rocks in the backyard, give them the names of your obstacles, and make broad jumps over them.

A ritual can be as simple, too, as putting a flower in a vase, making a circle of stones, burying something that represents an old habit, kneeling down in prayer, washing yourself in the river, anointing yourself with oil, visiting the zoo to spend some time with the animal in your dream, planting something, drumming or singing, feasting or fasting, making a mask, lighting a candle.

“I can light a candle because I need the light,” says writer Christina Baldwin, “or because the candle represents the light I need.”

Personal Narrative Essay : A Dream Come True

A Dream Come True “Emma!” I woke up to my mom calling to me. “Yes,” I answered as I climbed out of my very messy, unmade bed and made small efforts to clean it up. “C’mon, we have to go!” my mom told me. “What? Where?” I asked, and then I remembered that today was the day we were going to Grandma’s house for the summer. Duh, Emma, I told myself, looking at my suitcase lying on the floor ready to go. “To your grandma’s house!” my mom hollered. I heard her coming up the stairs to collect me and my things. “Okay, okay. I’m coming,” I said when she had gotten to the doorway to my bedroom. “Meet you in the car.” My mom smiled and then turned to head back downstairs. “Grandma!” I called to my grandma, who was out in the garden watering her flowers. “Yes, Emma!” my grandma replied. I ran up and embraced her, absorbing her lavender-smelling hair through my nose. “How was the trip?” my grandma asked as we walked over to the car to get my mom and my baby sister, Abby. “Mom!” My mom smiled as she hugged my grandma. “Its so good to see you!” “Its wonderful to see you guys too,” Grandma smiled, gesturing to Abby and me. “I’ll go put on the kettle for some tea ,” Grandma suggested. We made our way up the steps into my grandma’s cozy house. It was a beautiful house with dark wood tables and chairs. A curving staircase led to the bedrooms and the bathroom was placed in the corner. “What are we going to have for Emma’s birthday tomorrow?” Abby babbled to my mom. “You mean like, for

Essay on My Dream to Become a Doctor in 400 Words

At the early stage of life, everyone gets a dream to achieve in their life. But everyone can’t go to the goal. But still, people are aiming for their dreams and working for it. Why should you have a dream? Because it will keep you on track when you are looking for success.

A specific aim is the most important thing to become a successful person. May all of your dreams won’t come true, but still, you shouldn’t stop or never stop dreaming. Here I am talking about my dream to become a doctor.

How to Become a Doctor?

To become a doctor in my country, someone needs to get himself admitted into a medical college after passing the 12th. And then there is an MBBS course lasting for six years. That’s the process. And then some go for higher education and some start working in different places.

But it’s very tough and challenging to take admission in medical colleges. There is a huge competition. Thousands of students participate in the admission test. But the seats are only a few. But I’m confident enough that I will make it.

A student must have a science background in school and college to get a chance in a medical institute. The grade should be higher. And finally, he needs to be good at Biology.

My preparation is pretty solid. Right now I’m studying as science is my topic. And I’m good in Biology. I hope that I will make a good result in my 10th and 12th. Both of my results will help me to get a chance in a medical college.

I know it won’t be easy at all, but I am very confident. I’m an attentive student and I follow a strict daily routine for me. This routine helps me to schedule everything properly.

What Will I Do After Being a Doctor?

After completing the medical degree I have a plan to serve the people of my village. People of my village are not rich. They can’t afford better treatment.

And they face lots of fatal diseases. But there is no doctor to help them. I will be there to help my village people. I will try to make a small hospital there.

My dream to become a doctor is an honest plan. I want to help and serve the people. I love to be with people always. That’s what my aim is. I hope that I will be able to make my dream real.

Essay on My Dream in Life (500 Words)

Essay on My Dream in Life (500 Words)

Everyone has got a dream in their life. Dreams and desires help us to get success. When you have a specific dream and you are focused only on that thing then you have a higher chance to get success in life.

Because you can focus and can be dedicated to a specific thing at the right time. That’s why getting an aim or dream is important. I have got a dream to become an engineer. Today I will talk about my dream here. I hope you will love it.

My Dream to Become an Engineer:

When I was a kid reading in grade 2, my dad bought me a computer. The main reason was playing computer games. I was very passionate about video games. I wondered how people make these games. And I always wanted to learn more about this.

When I grew up, I learned that computer engineers develop these games. And right on that moment, I fixed my aim to become a game developer. To be one I have to study computer engineering and need to become a CSE graduate.

Why I Want to Become an Engineer:

The main reason is to become a game developer. And then I know the current world is based on technology and information. The person who is strong on these two things has a better opportunity to have a stable career. I think this time is so revolutionary for computer engineers.

And it’s the perfect time to invest effort here. My plan and dream are really exciting for me. I am sure that this industry is my passion. And I enjoy spending time with the computer. I can spend all day long learning new things related to programming and others.

I have a pretty good preparation for this dream. I have shared my future plan with my parents. They are really supportive with this. Even my father is an IT officer. I planned to get myself admitted into a university after 12th.

I have plans to take part in the admission test for government universities. If I don’t get a chance there, I will be admitted to a private university and complete my CSE graduation from there. I am confident enough that I will get a chance at a good university.

Right now, I am focusing on my current study. And I’m also learning different things related to computers. I’m planning to join an online course where I will learn Java Programming slowly.

What Will I Do After Being an Engineer:

After completing my degree I have a plan to start my own gaming company. I will hire some similar minded people or take them as partners. It will depend on the condition at that time. But I will try my best to do some jobs before starting my own company. Starting a company is the biggest goal for me.

That’s all about my dream to become an Engineer. I am hopeful that I will be one someday and my dream will come true. I am very honest about my dreams and I am working very hard to achieve it.

Essay on My Dream in 600 Words

Introduction:

A dream is a thing that keeps us focused and dedicated to our life. We all need to have a very specific dream to reach. Without a proper aim or dream, we can’t succeed in the end. Your dream will help you mentally and make you strong inside. Without any dream or desire, it will be hard to reach a goal. That’s why everyone gets a goal in their life, so do I. Today I am going to talk about my dream to become a teacher here.

My Dream to Become a Teacher:

Different people have different types of dreams and I want to become a teacher in the future. Yes, that’s my dream. My thinking was always different. I wanted to do something productive in my life. The stage that I am at right now is not that challenging.

I am a student and I have to study properly. But to run behind a goal or dream could be very hard. And I can realize that. From the beginning, I loved to teach the kids.

And finally, I found that is my passion. It will be great if I can become a teacher. People might dream to become a college professor or university teacher, but I prefer to become a very normal school teacher.

I love a very easy and normal lifestyle. I want to spend the rest of my life living in a calm and naturally beautiful place, teaching lots of kids and students. And I am working hard to make my dream come true.

Why I Want to Become a Teacher:

There are so many reasons behind this dream. The first thing that I can mention is I love teaching. That’s the biggest reason. When I shared my passion with my parents, they were amazingly supportive. They told me to follow my passion and my dream.

And then I got a huge boost in my desire. There are some other reasons to become a teacher. I love to live a very simple life. And I know a teacher is a person who can live a very simple life.

I want to make a difference in our education system. As you know our education system is not great. I want to fix that. It is a hard part, but that’s my ultimate goal in my life. I want to bring some changes to the system of teaching style.

I think this profession has pretty good job security and a good income too. And another thing that I forgot to mention is fun and excitement every day. There are new things every day and that’s a huge thing for me.

My Preparation for My Dream:

As I want to become a teacher, I need preparation for sure. And yes, I am preparing myself for this. Right now I am a student and I need to focus on my education first. But in my leisure time, I love to do the teaching.

I have some amazing cousins who come to my home to do maths and learn English. I teach them and I enjoy them a lot. After completing high school, I have my plan to study ‘English Literature’ for higher education.

And that will be my subject in my teaching career. And finally, after being a teacher I will join a govt school and will serve the unprivileged kids. I have a dream to start my own school too for the street kids.

        A Dream that Came True

On Sunday morning as I was packing my things in the car with my brother I saw an opportunity to interview him.  As my brother was driving I ask him if I can interview him and he said “yes.” I began by taking out my phone to ask him a couple of question about his life. As I began to ask him the questions, I realized that his tone of voice changed when he answering the questions. He mentioned that one of the most important persons in his life other than god was our mother. He continued to say that our mother is a very hard working mother and that he loved her dearly. Seeing her achieving her reams by doing the job she wanted to do made him want to achieve his goal of becoming a cook chief.

David was born in New York City and grew up in a safe Christian home. David likes cooking and wanted to travel to other countries and try new foods. In high school he went to Aruba with his culinary art class. He said, “It was interesting for him to taste new foods in Aruba and how their foods tasted different from Curacao foods.” This experience helped him to appreciate Curacao cuisines more. When he started college, he decided to major in culinary arts. He said that he did very well in college and he finished with a degree in culinary art, and it was not hard for him to get a job in 2014. Before college he worked at my dad’s job during high school.  After college he went to work with his friend buying college student’s textbooks. After three years of buying college student's textbooks, he decided to get a job as a chef. His years of buying textbooks made him to want to get a job doing what he love doing. As a chef, he wanted to make food that people would enjoy eating on a regular basic.  He said “he took culinary classes, because he love cooking.” Also, the good thing about culinary is that there is always restaurant which you can work.

After he became a chef, he found a job at Olive Garden. He was think of opening his own businesses, but opening a business can be hard and he didn't had money to invest in a building. In 2015 his boss decided to give him more days to work when they saw his consistency in dedication and how hardworking he is. Furthermore, when his coworkers did not want to work they usually called him to see if he wanted to come in and take their shift. In the past five years, he had cooked for a lot of people to eat including his own family. He was very happy that he had learned so much from different country and different languages. He said that when he was learning how to cook these new foods, he kept making mistakes. But his consistency in practicing to make those foods is what helped him to where he is now in life. David smiled as he was talking about his job.

He mentioned that there were a lot of new employees working there when he came back from vacation. He wondered what had happened to the people he used to work with and why there were so many new faces. He found out that people got tired of working for such a little bit of money and wanted better paying jobs. He continued to say that they were hiring people like crazy because they were always short of staff when people quit. Many times they would call him to come in to work when he was not scheduled to work that day. He didn't minded when they called him sometimes to come in to worked, but when he had something important to do, then he would not answer the phone.

Personal Narrative Essay: Dreams Come True

essay a dream that came true

Show More Dreams come true I slowly waddled out of my bed and looked around to make sure I was still in my room. I always seem to wake up startled and frankly, a bit panicked after one of my adventurous dreams. Though I can say this one was different. It was a spur of mixed emotions and what seemed to be the realest dream i 've yet come to experience. It all started out one night, right before midnight. I was on my normal daily routine binging on Netflix and eating something that I had probably sneaked up into my room to enjoy my show with. I love horror and action films. I can watch them all night, Which I actually ended up doing this one night. After watching about 3 different shows and half a movie I realized the sun was trying to sneak its way …show more content… It was a tall male student around my age, he looked strangely familiar. It turned out he also had a bike and had parked it next to mine. We made minimal eye contact and as he as he rode off into the dark road, I felt this strange shock too my chest. All I could see was darkness, I was suddenly back in my room. I looked next to me and found my phone splattered into a thousand pieces. I had lost all my memories, photos, and data in a matter of seconds. I got a feeling of hopelessness and then suddenly my house was on fire. I managed to open my window but i couldn 't jump off since i was on the second …show more content… It turns out he was real, and every time i feel confused, hopeless, or like my house is on fire, he’s always been there too the rescue me from every situation. In realization since the day I met him I get that sudden shock feeling every time. What really made me see that this dream was more than a dream was when my phone shattered. If I ever broke something i would feel that feeling like when i broke my phone. Then again who’s to say it wasn 't all the films I had squeezed into a couple hours that made me have that crazy dream. At the end of it i still wish i could have learned how to make chocolate in class and realized i have a shadow that i am very grateful

A Dream Come True - Short Story for Kids

In this article, we have tried to provide a dream come true story in short and simple language. It will help children to build their own imagination and creativity.

A Dream Come True Story

Once upon a time, in the fields of Alabama, on a little farm, there resided a cheerful sixteen-year-old girl named Jasmine. She shared a home with her uncle Dave, aunt Josephine, and parents Lily and Luke, all of whom were members of the Bells family. They were underprivileged and relied on selling animals and milking cows to make a living. They did, however, treat the unfortunate animals with kindness.

Jasmine was also quite supportive. She enjoyed horseback riding and tending ponies. Madeline was one of her favourites. She was a gorgeous white mare with shining hair. Madeline was the fastest mare at the racetrack. She'd always hoped to win the championship while galloping on Madeline.

They were poor but had a happy environment; they lived on rented land. Doug Smith, the landowner, dropped by one day and demanded payment of the monthly rent.

They were all homeless on the streets many years ago. Jasmine was only a newborn at the time. Doug decided to help the family out by lending them property on which they might launch a company. He stated that he wanted his money returned after a year.

The Bells family were honest folks. The family worked hard to return the money back to Doug within a year. Doug, on the other hand, began to show his true character not long after.

They repaid his money after a year, but Doug continued to take advantage of the fact that the Bells family was sweet and naive, and he would ask for money every month. Doug asked for money for the month one day. They almost didn't have any because the firm had suffered losses, and all they could offer him was a horse from the stables. This idea did not sit well with Jasmine.

She started a conversation with Doug, but it was not a pleasant one. "Why do you keep coming here to ask for money when we've already given you so much?" Jasmine screamed angrily at the top of her lungs.

"Well, you don't have to get involved, girl. Adults will settle..."

"I am not a small child!" We're not going to offer you any money right now. "GET OUT!" she screamed angrily.

Doug didn't have much of a choice but to depart.

Jasmine thought about what she should do about Doug Smith for a long period of time. Then she read an advertisement in the papers for a horse race in the countryside with a $10,000 prize for the winner! She had decided that she and Madeline would run the race together. She told everyone about her plan, and they all liked it. She headed to the location where the tournament was being held in the town. Madeline's name should be added to the list of competitors, she told the person in charge. He informed her that the race would be held in eleven days.

She returned home, and as she was putting Madeline in her place, she noticed a girl in the meadows near the stables with lovely brown hair. She stepped outside and approached the girl. The girl was taken aback when she saw Jasmine standing near her.

"What is your name?" Jasmine inquired.

"My name is Grace."

Jasmine asked, “What are you doing here?”

“I have always loved horses and was interested in the animals kept here.” Grace replied.

Grace and Jasmine talked for quite a long time that day and soon became friends. After that day, Grace would often visit the farm and play with animals and Jasmine. They really enjoyed each other's company.

Jasmine was introducing Grace to all of the horses one day.

"And this is Madeline," she added, pointing to a horse in front of her, who appeared to be losing her colour. "She appears pale and ill," she murmured with a troubled expression on her face.

From then on, the Bells' family was greatly concerned. Madeline refused to eat and was severely unwell. Jasmine remained deafeningly silent. She'd spend less time with Grace than usual.

She contacted Grace one day and told her what she had been thinking about her and Madeline competing in the horse race to fulfil her goal. Her sole wish now, she explained, was for Madeline to improve.

Madeline began to gain health and was no longer pale within a few weeks. She had regained her strength and was in good spirits. Everyone was pleased, and Jasmine had regained her vigour. She now often spent time with Grace. Grace even proposed that she compete in the race yet again. Grace reassured Jasmine, who was unsure. The tournament was the day after, and they prepared for it.

So Madeline, the Bells' family, and Grace went to the tournament. As they reached the arena, they were presented with a lot more families there than they expected.

Jasmine took the lead in the race. They were far behind at first, but they quickly caught up and took first place. And in the last few seconds, Madeline and Jasmine were the first to reach the finish line. They made an amazing pair!

Jasmine achieved her dream. Jasmine, by the end of the competition, decided that from then on, they would never let Doug come near them any more. With the prize money she had won, her family lived a comfortable life, with no more money worries ever again.

Personal Narrative: Drilling

The best part of the day had arrived, dinner. We had a reservation at the pier in which we were going to eat dinner. We looked like a whole bunch of bees ready to attack. The food was there. Right in front of our noses. We could feel the presence of the warmth coming from the food. The smell was just making our mouths water and our tummies rumble. We looked at each other with such eagerness to have some of those explicit desserts in our mouths. There we were, with our food served and ready to attack. I knew that when I was done with this food there was no longer going to be any space for the dessert. Overall the food was amazing and the experience as well.…

Dream Deferred

This poem by Langston Hughes is a very complicated. In it the speaker paints a picture of what might happen to someone’s dream if it is postponed too long. This idea is the overall theme of the poem and it is what unifies and connects each line to the poem as a whole. There are also indirect references that this is not only the dream of an individual, but an entire race’s struggle to achieve peace and liberation. This poem consists of a series of answers to the question, “What happens to a dream deferred?” All of the lines following this first question are presented as different similes.…

narative essay about parasailing

After we were all on the boat we had to go through a beautiful inlet that lead out into the ocean. We were then instructed on how put our life jackets and harnesses on. The instructor decided that I was going to be the first one to go up in the air. I made my way to the front of the boat and sat down on the deck so he could hook the parachute to my harness. Without a warning he let the parachute go and then I was ascending up into the air almost felt like the speed of light! As I was going up, he shook the line to scare me. Finally when I reached 500 feet, I could see the shore line. It was a breath taking view. I could see giant sea turtles and I even saw a shark. I was in the air about 30 minutes. Then I started descending down. When I was close to the boat, he dunked me into the same water where I had just moments earlier seen the shark and the sea turtles.…

The Swimming Pool

In the middle of summer the heat was so miserable that our family had decided to go and cool off at the local swimming pool. It was so hot that day, when you stepped outside you instantly felt the heat and started to drip sweat. The sun was so hot you could feel the heat on your skin trying to turn it red. When we got to the swimming pool you could hear the children laughing and splashing in the water. You could smell the chlorine in the water from the parking lot. Walking up to the red brick building with the tall fence surrounding the swimming pool, we hurried to get inside. Once inside we had to adjust our eyes because of the glare off of the water from the bright hot sun. We quickly found our spot next to a white worn out lawn chair. Looking out at the pool the water looked almost as blue as the sky that day scattered with many unnoticeable heads inside of it. The pool was divided into sections at the front of the pool on each side there were white ropes with blue floats attached to them separating the two feet water from the three feet. At the middle of the pool on the right side there was a short bluish green slide for the shallow end of the pool and another bigger gray slide with water rushing down it for the middle part of the pool. There was also another rope divider that separated the deep end from the five feet water. At the end of the pool there were three diving boards two small and one high dive. You could see all the children splashing and playing in the water while the other kids were waiting patiently to get their turn on the diving boards and the slides. There were a few people lying in the white lawn chairs trying to soak up some of the sunrays. We made sure to put on some sun block so that we wouldnt pay for our day in the sun later. Wiping on the sticky white sun block with its potent bitter smell was a task making sure that we didnt leave any unprotected skin that the sun could get to. Walking up to the water with my bare feet on the hot gray…

Essay Preview: A Dream That Came True

It all started on a hot August day, the first day of Middle School football practice.

I was kind of scared to be honest, because I was one of the smallest on the team, but what I lacked in size I made up for in speed.Truth be told I didn’t get to play much until the starting running back broke his hand in the game. Now I felt bad for him don’t get me wrong, but in the back of my mind I was happy that I finally got my chance to shine on the football field. Now when I went in I was very nervous, because it was my first time playing in an actual game. So coach tells us the first play and it’s to me! The Quarterback hands me the ball I run right up the middle, but the middle linebacker is waiting on me and hits me as hard as he can and I fumble the football! I came off the field with my head down I mean I couldn’t even look my coach in the eyes let alone my teammates. When everyone came up to me and told me to keep my head up, that’s when I felt what it really meant to be part of a team. So the next time I go in the game is tied up and we only have ten seconds to score and we are on the thirty yard line! So coach calls a screenplay to me and it worked! I caught the ball and ran right past everybody and we won the game! After that game we went undefeated!

Now after the season we had the whole town was excited about what we could do at the next level high school! Now our first year we were not ready at all because everyone was a lot faster and stronger than we were. When the season ended we went 1-9, it was the worst record in school history. Everyone was disappointed even we were, but the team was young so we kept our head up. Now as we became Sophomores and Juniors things didn’t go as planned. We had a lot of injuries including myself. It happened the third game of Sophomore year, I had just got an interception and no one was around me I was talking it to the house. Then out of no where I hit the ground after feeling the worst pain I have ever felt in my life go through my hip and down the side of my leg! Turns out I had pulled my Hip Flexor. I was out for two whole years. It was one of the most depressing time periods in my life, because I couldn’t do what I loved to do the most play football.

Finally by the time football season started during Senior year I was one hundred percent. It was time to show everyone what we were capable of. Our first game was against a school rival that we haven’t beat in fifty years! They were called the Columbia Lions. It was a close game the whole way, we even went into double overtime! The last play of overtime we had the ball I was quarterback. The center snaps the ball and it goes flying over my head, I run back to get it and I'm scrambling around and out of the corner of my eye I see our Fullback in the endzone. So I threw the ball as far I could, but as I threw it I was crushed by a defensive lineman. Then all I hear is the crowds roar and the announcer comes on TOUCHDOWN WILDCATS! I couldn’t believe what I was hearing we had finally beat them. I look up and it’s my teammates they pick me and we just went crazy, I’ll remember that moment for the rest of my life.

The next game was also a big time rivalry the Giles County Bobcats. This game was kind of like a bowl game called The Cowbell Game. Now the winner of the game got this big trophy that looked like a cowbell and the winning team had its schools name and the year they won engraved on the bell. It was a good game but we were trailing the whole. By the time the fourth quarter started we were down by two touchdowns and they had the ball. Our morale was down and it wasn’t looking good, because their offense was unstoppable the whole game. They drove down to the ten yard line things were looking bad, then all of a sudden I heard FUMBLE everyone got off the bench and ran to the sideline. We seen the referee point his hand toward our end zone, the sideline went crazy. At last there was hope we had the ball on their fifteen

How a Maryland teen's Harvard dream came true after affirmative action was struck down

“Dear Abigail, Congratulations. I am delighted to inform you that the committee on admissions has admitted you to the Harvard Class of 2028.”

Abigail Taylor grinned as she read her Harvard University acceptance letter out loud. The senior at Bishop McNamara High School in Forestville, Maryland, was laser-focused on getting into Harvard and was admitted through the school’s early action program.

The 18-year-old is part of the nation’s first high school class to apply to college since the Supreme Court ended affirmative action in the college admissions process .

“I’m ready. I’m so excited to enroll and continue on this journey,” Taylor said.

At the time of the high court’s ruling, Taylor was overseas in a study abroad program in Macedonia. She sought guidance from Shamelle Yemofio. She’s the director of counseling at Bishop McNamara and attended UNC.

Yemofio advised Taylor to share her racial experiences in her Harvard essay.

“When the ruling first was announced, I wanted to make sure that Abby and other students did indeed include their race, because it is their lived experience,” she said. “Race and culture should be celebrated and not silenced, and so that's what I wanted my students to take away from that experience, because it is a part of who she is.”

In her essay, Taylor wrote about her study abroad experience.

“Being a Black woman in Eastern Europe is not a common thing, so, a lot of experiences I had there definitely pointed me toward just a passion for mutual understanding and being able to show something from my community and my culture and learning something back from other communities and cultures,” she said.

Taylor said her maternal grandparents met at Harvard Medical School but she did not use legacy on her application.

‘We worried about our students’

After the Supreme Court ruled that Harvard and the University of North Carolina’s race-conscious admissions policies were unconstitutional, the impact on those campuses will be immediate, Brookings Institution fellow Sara Reber said.

“I think it is pretty clear that racial diversity will decline in the colleges that were part of the litigation. So, that's Harvard and UNC,” she said.

“I definitely don't want to downplay the importance of the decision because there's going to be, I think, some negative consequences of that. But most students go to colleges that weren't considering race in admissions in the first place, so won't really be changing their processes,” Reber added.

Weeks after the court’s ruling, the American Civil Liberties Union reiterated its findings on the benefits of diverse campuses.

“Schools will need to rely more on other means of cultivating a campus where students of all backgrounds can learn together,” the group said.

Yemofio, the school counselor, said the ruling raised concerns.

“I saw a panic among my colleagues – my adult colleagues in the education field – because we reflected on our experience of affirmative action and we were worried about our students,” she said.

She said the ruling only affects about 10% of U.S. colleges and for most students, nothing will change.

Taylor said she has her sights set on her future.

“I hope that after I gain my education, I'll be able to continue a career in foreign policy and diplomacy, perhaps joining the State Department or potentially the United Nations – bringing communities together,” she said.
