What is an ielts writing checker.

Sunny was, like a lot of IELTS students, worrying about improving her score – and she learned that the smartest students use the right tools.

An IELTS writing checker is a tool or service that assesses and evaluates the quality of an IELTS writing task.

The checker evaluates the writing skills of the test taker, including the clarity, coherence, organization, and accuracy of the written text.

An IELTS writing checker may provide feedback on various aspects of the essay, including grammar, vocabulary, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure. Additionally, they may give suggestions on how to improve the essay and achieve a higher score.

Why should you use an IELTS writing checker?

Sunny had previously tried to use a well-known online grammar checker which had helped her writing sound better – but she needed an IELTS-specific tool.

An IELTS writing checker can be a helpful tool for anyone who is preparing to take the IELTS exam. Here are a few reasons why you might want to use an IELTS writing checker:

  • To get feedback on your writing: This is especially helpful if you are studying for the exam on your own and don’t have a teacher or tutor to give you feedback.
  • To improve your score: By identifying the specific areas that you need to work on in order to improve your score on the writing section of the exam.
  • To practice writing under timed conditions: The IELTS writing checker can simulate the conditions of the actual exam by giving you a prompt and a time limit to complete your essay. You should complete section 1 in 20 minutes, and write at least 150 words. Section 2 should take 40 minutes, with at least 250 words. This can help you get used to writing under pressure and develop your time management skills.
  • To learn from your mistakes: The IELTS writing checker can highlight the mistakes you make in your writing, such as grammar errors, spelling mistakes, or problems with sentence structure. By learning from your mistakes, you can avoid making the same errors in the future.

How to use the IELTS writing checker effectively?

  • Familiarize yourself with the marking criteria: Before you start using the IELTS writing checker, it’s important to understand the criteria that the examiners use to mark your writing. This will help you understand what you need to focus on to improve your score.
  • Practice writing regularly: To get the most out of the IELTS writing checker, it’s important to practice writing regularly. This will help you improve your writing skills and give you more opportunities to use the checker.
  • Analyze your mistakes: When the writing checker highlights your mistakes, take the time to analyze them and understand why you made them. This will help you avoid making the same mistakes in the future.
  • Use the feedback to improve your writing: The IELTS writing checker provides feedback on your writing, so use it to your advantage. Take note of the areas where you need to improve and make the necessary changes to your writing.
  • Work on your time management: During the IELTS exam, time management is crucial. To prepare for this, try to complete your writing tasks within the allotted time and use the writing checker to check your work quickly.
  • Don’t rely on the IELTS writing checker entirely: While the writing checker is a useful tool, it’s important to remember that it’s not perfect. Use it as a guide, but don’t rely on it entirely. Always use your own judgement and common sense when it comes to your writing.

What are some common mistakes made in IELTS writing?

There are several common mistakes that candidates make in IELTS writing. Here are a few:

  • Not addressing the task properly: One of the most common mistakes that candidates make is not addressing the task properly. They may write a well-organized and grammatically correct essay, but if it does not answer the question asked in the prompt, they will not get a good score. For example, ‘What are the advantages and disadvantages of owning a car?’ If you only write about the advantages of having a car, you can not score high on task achievement.
  • Poor grammar and spelling: Another common mistake is poor grammar and spelling errors. Candidates should aim to write in grammatically correct sentences and avoid spelling mistakes. These errors can significantly impact the overall score.
  • Lack of coherence and cohesion: Candidates should ensure that their writing is coherent and cohesive. The essay should have a logical flow, and ideas should be linked together using appropriate transition words and phrases.
  • Inappropriate word choice: Using inappropriate words or vocabulary can also result in a lower score. Candidates should aim to use a range of vocabulary, but it should be used appropriately in context.
  • Not meeting the word count: Candidates must meet the word count requirements for each task. Writing too few or too many words can result in a lower score.
  • Not organizing the essay properly: Candidates should aim to organize their essay into clear paragraphs with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion.
  • Plagiarism: Plagiarism is a serious offence and can lead to disqualification from courses and exams. If you plagiarise practice IELTS essays, it’s hard to know what you are capable of writing by yourself anyway.

How can the IELTS writing checker help you improve your score?

The IELTS writing check can be a valuable tool in helping you improve your writing skills and ultimately, your IELTS score. Here are a few ways in which the IELTS writing check can assist you:

  • Feedback on your strengths and weaknesses: The IELTS writing check provides you with personalized feedback on your writing, including an assessment of your strengths and weaknesses. This feedback can help you identify the areas you need to work on to improve your score.

For example, Sunny hadn’t realised that she had a habit of writing ‘however’ in the middle of paragraphs and mis-

spelling ‘because’, ‘in conclusion’ and ‘instead’. Now, she is much more aware of these mistakes.

  • Identification of common mistakes: The IELTS writing check can also help you identify common mistakes that you may be making in your writing, such as grammar, vocabulary, or sentence structure errors.
  • Practice opportunities: The IELTS writing check provides you with practice opportunities to work on your writing skills. By submitting practice essays for review, you can receive feedback on your writing and work on improving your weaknesses.
  • Familiarization with the IELTS exam format: The IELTS writing check can help you become more familiar with the IELTS exam format and requirements. This can help you feel more confident and prepared for the actual exam.
  • Customized study plan: Based on the feedback provided by the IELTS writing check, you can develop a customized study plan to focus on the areas that need improvement. This can help you maximize your study time and improve your score more efficiently.

Trusted evaluation

Accuracy and reliability are crucial for IELTS essay evaluations. Our AI system has undergone rigorous testing to align with IELTS band criteria, providing you with dependable results.

We conducted a benchmarking exercise comparing our tool to official IELTS grades. For this purpose, we utilized a range of sample essays from bands 4 to 9, which are available on the ielts.org website.

We evaluated each essay using UpScore.ai and compared the results to the evaluations provided by professional examiners from IELTS, which were included alongside the sample essays. The AI tool demonstrates a solid level of precision and accuracy.

In today’s contemporary world, there is a debate among people that, the number of men and women who are accepted to universities should be same in every subject. In my following essay, I will totally disagree with this idea because of unsuitable subjects and tuition fees. Additionally, I will provide clear explanations for these reasons according to my own experience. On the one hand, some universities are based on single or particular subjects like military and medical. That is why, they accept students in various ways, in military universities, they test students’ physical status and strength. As a consequence, they have to receive more male students than female. In addition, students are hired to special jobs such as pilot or tank driver after they graduate these kinds of universities. Thus, women are rejected in most situations. Furthermore, universities which are specialized in art or design prefer to take girls rather than boys, because they believe that, girls are tended to learn their subjects easily and responsibleto their works. In addition, girls are good at creativity and comprehension. Therefore, if we look acceptance rate of these universities they give more grants to girls than boys every year. Moreover, in number of countries students have to pay tuitions for studying universities and universities announce price of fees in every year. Likewise, they have various cost according to faculties. Although, they give scholarships to their students, most girls are not able to pay for their tuition because of family condition and low salary. However, male can work after their studies, so they can pay their tuition fee independently. As a result, universities rather accepting more boys than girls because they want their students live without any problems while they are studying. For instance, two years ago, my sister applied to one university and after several weeks she received an email from university’s admission office. The email stated that, my sister was rejected because, she did not have a part-time job. In conclusion, some individuals believe that, universities ought to receive equal numbers of students in each subject. I firmly against this belief because of two reasons. They are unsuited subjects or fields and cost of tuitions.

many manufactured food and drink products contain high levels of sugar which causes many health problems. sugary products should be more expensive to encourage people to consume less sugar. Do you agree or disagree Nowadays, some individuals are tempted by convenience food and drinks, which are high in sugar, sodium, and saturated fat which can result in numerous health difficulties. From my standpoint, The rise in the cost of prepared food might reduce their consumption while there are more effective ways to encourage people to eat healthier.

In today’s fast-paced world, Most people have busy schedules and limited time for meal preparation. As a consequence, they prefer eating convenience food rather than healthy meals which are required spending a great amount of time and a lot of energy to be prepared. It might be said that By rising in the price of these kinds of food people would be less interested in purchasing them however it is just a temporary way. For example, It might just influence an individual in a tight budget not wealthy people.

There are several significant methods to make a society avoid eating unhealthy food. For instance, by teaching children in primary school and making them aware of the demerits and drawbacks of prepackaged cuisine or sugary drinks, A majority of them might learn just to have nutritious food, control their cravings, and avoid consuming junk food, and low-nutrient food and unhealthy beverages and the sooner they adapt to this lifestyle, the fewer health issues they will face in the future. Moreover, It is crystal clear that advertising plays a pivotal role in this matter as it can bring people’s attention to either healthy or unhealthy diet especially when a renewed celebrity would encourage them to have a more significant impression on society’s decisions rather than just lifting the cost of prepackaged food.

In conclusion, While a majority of people are addicted to convenience food on the grounds of their limited time, It is of paramount importance to teach youngsters from the very beginning to choose the best diet and also promote healthy lifestyle through advertisements. I largely agree that These approaches are able to transform people’s attitude towards sugary products and convenience food more permanently which outweighs the effects of rising their prices.

In some places ,young people find it difficult to communicate with older people. Why is this ? What are the solutions?

The world and interactions between young and old people have become extremely difficult. Because of the difference in generation and age. Therefore, it is solved when the young help them and the elderly give the young their experiences.

To begin with, youngsters prefer keeping in touch with their friends. The youth, because of their low ages, like being more active. As well, elderly people suffer from a lack of energy, which causes them to not have interaction with the youth. In addition, some of them have different illnesses. For example, it has been seen that old people gather alongside each other in the parks and young people are not with them. Because they might not be capable of doing things, such as youth.

Moreover, more interaction between them is created when the young help the old. Furthermore, volunteering for responsibilities related to the elderly by the young causes their relationship to increase. In addition, using the experiences of elderly people by the young is a good idea for closing them to each other. For example, the young can help old people by shopping for their goods, and they respect old people through these activities. As well, elderly people can guide youngsters and give them some advice for their goals. Therefore, these activities cause them to be near each other.

In conclusion, although the relationship between youngsters and elderly people is not deep,I can be solved when the young respect the old and the elderly share their experiences with the young.

Overall Band: 3 Writer has not achieved the task response, answer for the second question is not completed.Main ideas are difficult to identify and such ideas that are identifiable lack relevance, clarity and support. Large parts of the response are repetitive. Relationships between ideas is unclear and inadequately marked. There is some use of basic cohesive devices, which is mechanical.

Question: It is inevitable that traditional cultures will be lost as technology develops. Technology and traditional cultures are incompatible. To what extend do you agree or disagree? In this modern era, technological advancement has led to destruction of many traditional cultures. Some people arques that technology and tradition could not go side by side whereas other claims that it is possible to preserve ones ancient cultural aspect despite development in technology This essay will delve into reasons why these two aspects are not compatible with one another. To begin with, each passing day human behavior’s as well their needs ins are changing. In order to exist and fit in this world they prefer modern applications, as these appliances makes their work faster and easier rather than traditional machines For example, nowadays farmer uses modern tactors to plough field as ploughing by oxes consumes more time and efforts. Secondly, technological advancement has changed world into small villages. People can learn about others culture and can get easily influenced by them. They tend to think their own tradition as an old fashioned which will eventually lead to extinction. Additionally, todays generation has become more competitive and profit based. Using old techniques one could not compete to others which results in opting old ways for more advance techniques. For instance hand woven clothes takes huge amount of labor as well as patience so they are quite expensive However, modern machines produce hundreds and hundreds of clothes within a day and are comparatively cheaper. In conclusion, in this generation traditional cultures do not allow individuals to create a meaningful impact on their life as well as on society, so people prefer advance technology to earn name and fame. Thus these two aspects could not coexist with one another as following technological advancement is need of this era.

Overall Band: 5.5 Main ideas are relevant, but some are insufficiently developed and thus lack clarity, while some supporting arguments and evidence are not present. There is a limited use of cohesive devices with some inaccuracy.

The number of advertisements for charities on television and the Internet seems to be increasing. What is causing this? Is this a positive or negative development? In the contemporary epoch, advertisements are effective tools for public awareness about various social and other causes. recently, individuals have seen an increase in ads promoting charitable institutes. because it has a direct impact on donors, so, they have become aware of charitable trusts, also, people get faith that their money is used for a particular place, In my opinion, this is favourable development that is beneficial all .

Which is the best online IELTS Writing checker?

By Fiona on March 19, 2023 19

There are many free online IELTS Writing checkers available, and they can be useful when you’re starting your IELTS preparation.

Online writing checkers such as Grammarly can give you simple feedback on your grammar, vocabulary and linking words.

There are more sophisticated versions available that claim they can assess your IELTS writing using the Band Criteria, and give you a grade and feedback in a matter of seconds.

But how accurate and reliable are they?

I tested a few and here are my results. Please let me know of any others that you have tried in the comments section below.

In this blog I evaluate:

  • IELTScdt.com
  • IELTSpodcast.com ( and IELTSing.com)
  • Essaychecker.ai
  • Gotlearning.com (see comments section)
  • IELTS Writing Pro (my recommendation)

I haven’t tried Writing9.com because the samples they give are hilarious.

I used a simple task and response to test the online checkers, because I wanted to be realistic about what is achievable in 40 minutes with no preparation and under the stress of the exam.

I believe that the response below could achieve a Band 9 , though I understand that more sophisticated structures and vocabulary could be used if you had more time available.

I also realise that ‘mobile phones’ is repeated several times, but as I always tell my students, sometimes there are simply no synonyms for key words.

Mobile phones have brought many benefits, but they have also had negative effects. Do the disadvantages of having mobile phones outweigh the advantages?

Mobile phones have had an enormous impact on many aspects of our lives. Our personal and professional communication has been profoundly changed by them, and they clearly have many advantages. However, there are several drawbacks to being constantly available and connected to the internet, which I will outline below.

By far the most common criticism of mobile phones is  the fact that we are now expected to be available at all hours of the day. Before mobile phones were invented, the time spent away from work was our own, but now it seems that the separation between work and free time has disappeared.  In addition , mobile phones pose certain health risks and can be dangerous if drivers use them at the wheel or if people cross busy roads while texting. There have been several mobile-phone related accidents and fatalities.  A final negative effect is  that in public places such as on the train or at the cinema, there is no escape from the noise of annoying ringtones and loud, one-sided conversations.

On the other hand, there are obvious benefits . The most powerful argument in their favour is that they can be used to call for help in the most inaccessible places, for example when a car breaks down in a remote area, and emergency services can be called to the scene of an accident without delay.  Moreover , being easily contactable every minute of the day has real advantages for business people and for working parents.

To sum up, I feel that although there are some clear drawbacks to mobile phones, their efficiency, portability and multi-functional abilities have greatly enhanced most aspects of our lives and the plus points certainly offset the downsides.

IELTS Writing checker 1

The first checker that came up in the search was IELTScdt.com . Here are the results.

Overall Band: 7

  • Task Achievement*: 8.5**
  • Lexical Resource: 6.5
  • Cohesion and Coherence: 6.0
  • Grammatical Range and Accuracy: 7.0

What I found unhelpful about this checker was that it was difficult to make sense of the detailed results, which seemed to be a list of meaningless percentages.

For example, my lowest score was 6 for C&C, and the feedback was this – I’m not sure what I should do with all of those numbers:

best online IELTS writing checker

*’ Task Achievement’ is the wrong band criteria – it should only be used for Task 1. ‘Task Response’ is used for Task 2 band criteria. Only ChatGPT got this right.

**Also, it is strange that they use 0.5 scores for each criteria, which does not happen in the real test and makes you wonder where they got their marking system from. Again, only ChatGPT got this right.

IELTS Writing checker 2

The second one to come up in Google search was IELTSpodcast.com ( IELTSing.com uses the same software, so I didn’t test them both).

It gave me a very different set of figures (one Band lower):

Overall Band: 6

  • Task Achievement*: 7.0
  • Lexical Resource: 6.0
  • Cohesion and Coherence: 5.5
  • Grammatical Range and Accuracy: 6.5

This checker was more useful because it underlined areas of weakness, and I could hover over them to see what I’d done wrong.

Unfortunately the suggestions for improvement were not good.

For example, instead of ‘many advantages’ , it suggested ‘a plethora of advantages’ (nooooooooo!!).

And as a synonym for ‘mobile phone’ it suggested ‘dial’ ‘contact’ or ‘call up’ , all of which were completely inappropriate/wrong synonyms.

Finally, it WRONGLY suggested that I use ‘on the contrary’ instead of ‘but’ (it says ‘but’ is too simple). This is a very common mistake I see test-takers make.

a plethora of

It also told me that I DIDN’T

  • include an introduction or conclusion (?!)
  • answer all parts of the question (?!)

In the real IELTS test, you would get 5 for Task Response if you didn’t answer all parts of the question, but they gave me 7 anyway.

IELTS Writing checker 3

This is an app called essaychecker.ai .

It gives a detailed feedback report (Lexical Check, Grammar etc) but a lot of the feedback is meaningless – it only tells you how many adjectives, adverbs, complex sentences etc you used.

The advice that it gave me on spelling was grammatically wrong – it said I made ‘few’ spelling errors (which means ‘not many’).

That could be very confusing (correct grammar = “a few” errors).

few vs a few

IELTS Writing checker 4

upscore.ai gave an accurate score (7.5) and I have found it to be useful in picking up vocabulary issues such as level of formality, which other checkers missed.

It gives some accurate synonym suggestions too:

“Instead of repeatedly using “ mobile phones, ” you can use terms like “ cell phones ” or “ smartphones. “

However, it doesn’t give detailed grammar correction and there is some wrong advice about inventing more specific evidence – something I do NOT recommend:

“Instead of stating that there have been “ several mobile-phone related accidents and fatalities, ” provide specific examples or statistics to make your point more convincing.”

“For instance, you could mention a well-known case where a driver caused a fatal accident due to texting while driving.”

It is better to use generally applicable examples than to invent specific, individual examples like this.

ChatGPT (Best FREE option)

After being disappointed by the results I got from the first two online essay checkers, I asked ChatGPT to review and grade my essay.

I think it was probably the closest to the best response with a brief summary of each criteria.

Overall Band: 7.5

  • Task Response*: 8.0
  • Lexical Resource: 7.0
  • Cohesion and Coherence: 8.0
  • Grammatical Range and Accuracy: 7

I asked it to give me more information about the negative points and it went into more detail with helpful suggestions.

For example it said:

“There is a noticeable repetition of words and phrases throughout the essay. For example, the phrase “mobile phones” is used multiple times, especially at the beginning of sentences, which can make the essay sound repetitive and monotonous.”

[I totally agree, but as we’ve seen, it’s almost impossible to find a synonym for ‘mobile phones’.]

Also, like many AI checkers (e.g. Grammarly ), ChatGPT did not like my PASSIVE sentences.

Many AI checkers think that the Passive Tense is too formal, but for IELTS it is certainly NOT too formal.

ChatGPT suggested that I change passive to active, which I believe is wrong advice.

The phrase “Before mobile phones were invented, the time spent away from work was our own” could be rephrased to “Before the invention of mobile phones, we had more control over our free time.”

ChatGPT Band 9 essay

Finally, I asked ChatGPT to give me a Band 9 response for this essay question.

It produced a 377-word essay (overlength).

I then asked ChatGPT to evaluate its own Band 9 essay, using the IELTS Band Criteria.

Guess what?

Overall, this essay would likely score a Band 7 or 8 on the IELTS Writing Task 2, due to its effective organization, clear and concise writing, and strong arguments. With a few minor improvements, particularly in terms of grammatical accuracy, the essay could potentially score higher.

Claude.ai was not able to give me a score for a student’s essay but it did give me feedback on specific mistakes.

Unfortunately I do not have the capability to provide IELTS essay scores. Providing accurate IELTS scores would require more advanced NLP techniques and training on a dataset of scored essay samples which I currently lack.

Claude.ai also wrote a model essay about mobile phones. Although the language was excellent, it does not conform to a standard IELTS essay, as it does not develop any of the points – it just lists examples of pros and cons.

IELTS Writing Pro (best PAID checker)

I have been working with IELTSWritingPro to develop what I think is the most reliable and best value online IELTS Writing Checker.

I’ve tested this AI checker with my students’ essays, and over time, the creators have made significant updates to improve the performance and ensure that it provides the most accurate feedback for the IELTS Writing test.

Get your first detailed feedback for FREE.

Please note that I am an affiliate for this product which means that I receive a small commission that supports this website when you buy any of their feedback packages.

Free online IELTS essay checkers can be used to give you a very rough idea about whether you’re writing effectively on a superficial level (grammar, vocabulary, punctuation etc).

They can tell you some basic errors so that you can fix them.

However, the information and advice that some of them give is certainly NOT reliable or accurate.

Use them as a starting point if they’re free, but I would be careful about paying any money to get a more detailed response, with IELTS Writing Pro being the only exception.

Have you used any other computer program that you think I should mention?

Please let me know in the comments below, and I will check them out.

But we are working and trying our best to improve it.

Thanks once again. Hardik

Unfortunately, I do not have access to a teacher who will check my essays at the moment, and which of the sites on the Internet gives the most accurate results, especially in terms of scoring systems?

April 26, 2023 at 12:28 pm

Hi Mustafa From the ones I checked in the article above, ChatGPT came out the best, though it wasn’t perfect by any means! Best wishes Fiona

May 1, 2023 at 4:42 pm

Have you experienced the writing9, do you have any idea about it? I tried 4-5 times, but it felt like the points were given a little too much. Thanks 🙂

May 2, 2023 at 4:51 pm

Hi Mustafa. No I haven’t tried that one! To be honest I got so tired of seeing such random results that I gave up pretty quickly.

April 8, 2023 at 3:59 pm

NEW! I just tried https://upscore.ai/ (you get 2 free)

This gave me an accurate score.

Total Score: 7.5

Task Response: 8 Coherence and Cohesion: 8 Lexical Resource: 7.5 Grammatical Range and Accuracy: 7.5

And it gave me a nice suggestion as a synonym for ‘powerful argument’ (though I don’t recommend using a thesaurus unless you know what you’re doing).

“Use more impressive vocabulary to elevate the language in the essay”.

– Suggestion: Try using a thesaurus to identify and memorize new synonyms for frequently used words. Example: Instead of “powerful,” use “compelling” or “potent.”

Unfortunately the advice it gave me about a grammar mistake was wrong:

– Lack of article usage in “from work was our own,” should be “from THE work was our own.”

‘work’ does not need a definite article here, as it is a general concept.

April 8, 2023 at 3:51 pm

NEW! I just tried this with https://feedback.gotlearning.com/

There’s no grading but I got these comments. They are quite VAGUE.

Overall, your writing is good, but you can make some improvements to the narrative structure to create a smoother and more effective flow. Below are some suggestions for how you can improve the transitions in your writing:

– Start with a strong introduction that grabs the reader’s attention and provides context for the topic. You can start by mentioning the ubiquity of mobile phones in modern society and the far-reaching effects they have had on various aspects of our lives.

– In the second paragraph, start with a clear statement about the positive impact of mobile phones, followed by specific examples to support your point. This will make your argument stronger and more convincing. You can then move on to the drawbacks, keeping in mind that you want to keep a balanced approach.

– In the third paragraph, start with a transition phrase like “on the other hand”, followed by a clear statement about the negative impact of mobile phones.

Thank you for this podcast episode about AI-based essay checkers. It put a huge smile on my face when you were sharing your experience with each of the services that you mentioned.

I tried the ieltspodcast.com one months ago and was disappointed. This cannot be used in IELTS prep at all because it is misleading. I wrote and pasted two essays into their checker and both scored not higher than a 6. I took IELTS six times and scored 8.0 in Writing in 5 out of my 6 attempts. So Band 6 is just a joke, together with the ridiculous synonyms that they want me to use.

You reminded me about them today in your podcast, so I tried their checker again to see if it’s become any better. Nothing of the kind! Still 6.

The first thing that is a red flag for me is that they provide scores in half-bands for CC or GRA, which is not the way it works, right? Half-bands are possible only for the total score based on four scoring areas.

The same applies to ChatGPT. The same half-bands.

I spent a good hour talking to ChatGPT, teaching it the IELTS scoring system. It kept apologizing for not knowing the rounding conventions in IELTS, which made it rather confusing even for the bot itself. It recalculated the scores several times and couldn’t really produce the right overall one.

However, I did like the way it caught some minor mistakes in my grammar and offered some improvements in wording some complex sentences. Very useful! And it did great at checking my GT letters. The scores were close to reality.

I still think that nothing can be compared to a good old human brain able to ‘feel’ the language and look at any essay from four different perspectives covered in the band descriptors. But AI is progressing so rapidly that it’s getting kind of scary:) Will us teachers have to re-invent what we do, say, in a few coming years?:)

I’ve been teaching IELTS in Kazakhstan for more than 10 years and have checked thousands of essays, helping my students understand what IELTS wants them to do in Writing.

By the way, I’ve been listening to your podcast for years and I always recommend it to my students because I absolutely love the way you break Reading, Listening and grammar into pieces! This cannot be any better – please bring more! Thank you ever so much for being so dedicated to teaching and giving so much help to the world!

March 31, 2023 at 2:19 pm

Hi Ilya, Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge and experience with us. I definitely agree that these checkers can be helpful for noticing minor errors but I agree that teachers will be able to give much more meaningful feedback when it comes to IELTS.

Thank you for listening to my podcast and for taking the time to write this!

The IELTS Reading Module: A Comprehensive Guide

How to improve ielts writing skills-useful tips, how do you translate roman numerals to english, one comment on “best essay corrector free websites for ielts”.

Many people say that globalisation and the growing number of multinational companies have a negative effect on the environment. To what do you agree or disagree?

In the competitive world, every nation is keen to increase their economy, therefore they emphasize the soaring number of companies and their market at the international level, while several individuals argue that globalisation has a negative impact on the environment. I agree with this statement because it affects our health.

To embark upon, there are plenty of reasons why they hurt the environment. Firstly, the increasing amount of multinational companies requires adequate land for the establishment as well as their transportation and production storage, thereby deforestation spiked that affects the cultural diversity and loss of some species of animals. To illustrate, in Brazil, around one-fourth of the forest area is, now, vacant due to cutting the trees and building the industrial zone. Hence, where their oxygen level continuously declines and air pollution inclines.

Besides, those companies produce a high amount of harmful gases and release them into the atmosphere so air pollution increases. Those industries release not only detrimental gases but also liquid chemicals into rivers and that makes it poisonous water. For instance, around 95% of people suffer from diseases like heart-related problems and stifling problems in Northern Russia because this is one of the adverse zones on the earth and there is no clean water, air and land for people who live there.

To conclude, globalisation and the developing number of multinational companies have their pros and cons as they provide job opportunities and advanced technologies, whereas, in my opinion, environmental protection is our priority. And they damage the climate in different ways. So, the government should take action against them and make rules and regulations for them.
